When you mix jazz, the midwest and the birthplace of the suburban shopping mall, you get a funky spot known as Kansas City, Missouri. When picking the perfect bridal shower venue in Kansas City, it is essential to consider the time of year and weather, your budget and the mood you are hoping to set for your guests and the nearlyweds.

While the city boasts an incredible downtown with boutique shops and jazz clubs, there are also numerous upscale restaurants with local ingredients, grown just miles away, to impress any palette. So, whether you'd like a laidback afternoon celebrating the future couple or an all-out garden tea party celebration with twinkle lights, there's something for you on this list.

Harveys

The first venue on our list is found inside a quintessential Kansas City spot: Union Station. Harvey's is tucked right in the middle of the historic train station and manages to provide an intimate gathering spot with an enormous open-air space. As this wedding shower venue is tucked inside a public building, there will be travelers wandering around just outside the restaurant. But, most people think that adds an exquisite sense of mystery to meals already enjoyed within Union Station's Grand Hall.

For seated meals with up to 82 people, Harvey's upper level will be perfect and provide views of the station from up above. For smaller parties, the lower level can hold up to 38 guests. No matter the size, though, event attendees will be served fresh, local American food in a historic venue with plenty of character.

Brio Tuscan Grille Country Club Kansas

Brio Country Club Plaza will make any bridal shower feel like it is taking place in Northern Italy, complete with an extensive and delectable wine list served alongside luxurious and fresh cuisine and a staff attending to your every need. The menu offers enormous variety, making accommodating dietary restrictions a breeze with this Kansas City wedding shower venue.

With a variety of rooms to choose from, Brio can seat parties from ten to two hundred with ease. The event staff is happy to go above and beyond to make each detail come to life as well. So, for an easy-to-plan and delicious wedding shower, Brio Country Club Plaza should be at the top of your list.

The Vintage House

If you're wanting to host a photo-ready wedding shower without having to do much decorating on your part, The Vintage House is certainly your best bet. This venue, which was started by a mother-daughter team, is full of heart as the pair uses personal touches to make the vintage farmhouse come to life.

With quaint gardens nestled under twinkle lights to stunning china and tea sets galore, this spot is begging you to create memories for a lifetime as the couple prepares for their future together. With a myriad of decorations provided, like chalkboards, vases, serving ware and appliances, much of the work is already done for you here.

The Vintage House can host up to 50 people outside if seated outside in the gardens or 20 guests inside. The staff can accommodate anything from a simple celebration to a full afternoon of games, tea parties and a dinner with a curated tablescape.

Buca di Beppo

For a wedding shower venue that's easy on the budget without compromising spunk or taste, consider Buca di Beppo Kansas City. Nestled in the heart of the shopping district, Buca di Beppo is known for generous portions and its spunky Italian decor.

This venue can host groups of any size, and most dining areas will be semi-private. With an abundance of Italian favorites to choose from, like lasagna, pizza and chicken parmigiana, guests will be delighted by a bridal shower here.

Il Lazzarone

If the couple being celebrated loves pizza, privacy, or both, II Lazzarone is an incredible venue option. With a brick oven imported from Italy to cook the true Neapolitan pizzas in just over one minute and top-of-the-line ingredients, the chefs here create culinary masterpieces in every meal. But, it's not solely about the food here, it's also about the experience.

II Lazzarone has a private dining room that can be booked for wedding showers. While it can hold up to 75 people, it will easily accommodate smaller groups as well. The exposed brick walls bring an antique and vintage vibe to the modern restaurant, which just happens to create a beautiful backdrop for photos too.

Lastly, if you know guests will be coming from faraway and will want to linger a while, they can easily take the Streetcar here and hang out at the bar before or after. This allows for a bit more flexibility for those who want to make the most of every moment they are in town.

Trezo Mare Restaurant & Lounge

The award-winning Trezo Mare Restaurant & Lounge brings a touch of the Italian countryside to Kansas City. With decadent seafood options alongside homemade bread and a variety of meats cooked on the hardwood-fired grill, there is plenty here to create a delectable spread for a wedding shower brunch or evening meal.

For parties of 20 or more, Trezo Mare will create a set menu for your dining pleasure and can supply a myriad of drink options too. For groups up to 50, the wine room will provide a beautiful spot to host your shower, although the fireside lounge provides a cozy and delightful spot for groups up to 25. Trezo Mare staff are also happy to provide floral arrangements and audio/visual assistance as needed.

Johnnie's Jazz Bar & Grille - Power and Light District

For a truly one-of-a-kind getaway in Kansas City, check out Johnnie's Jazz Bar & Grille in the Power and Light District. This is one of our favorite bridal shower venues in Kansas City because of its tall ceilings, exposed brick, vintage velvet furniture and plenty of space to dance during a live jazz set.

For parties of up to 160 people, book the downstairs dining room for dinner. But, for a smaller and more private affair, ask for the upstairs balcony that opened in September 2022 and seats up to 80 people. As Johnnie's is a jazz bar, they have all the equipment to make any special sound system requests you may have, although they may already have a live jazz artist lined up for the night.

Of course, on top of the stunning space just asking to be photographed, Johnnie's has a wide selection of food, from burgers and wings to street tacos and seafood entrees. All of this comes alongside a wide selection of drinks, including a diverse bourbon selection in honor of Johnnie herself.

The Space by Dolce Bakery

Whether you believe less is more when it comes to decor or you simply want to bring your vision to the wedding shower, The Space by Dolce Bakery is a blank canvas waiting to help your party come to life. Tucked just south of the city in Prairie Village, this venue can hold up to 50 people. The hardwood floor, classy chandelier, TV for videos or games and chairs and tables set the stage for any celebratory gathering.

While we love The Space for its versatility and affordability, it is also wonderful to support a woman-owned business in the Kansas City area. If interested, the planners will also help you pick out treats from Dolce Bakery to make the wedding shower one that guests will never forget.

KC Wine Co.

Whether you are hoping to host an outdoor bridal shower in Kansas City in the warmer months or just hoping to make sure out-of-town guests get a taste of the local fare, KC Wine Co should be high on your list of venues to consider. Here, tables can be set amongst the grape vines themselves for a true vineyard vibe, or you can book space inside the barrel room that holds up to 100 guests. With the high ceilings, expansive wood decor and bright chandeliers, this airy space allows for plenty of room even for larger parties.

Not surprisingly, the outdoor space at KC Wine Co is a beautiful backdrop with green rolling hills and even a four-acre pond. Lastly, KC Wine Co. does limit its guests to those 21 years old and up, so if you're hoping to have younger guests in attendance, you'll have to pass on this beautiful venue.

The fully private Reserve Room can host up to 32 guests for a seated meal and allows them to step out onto the attached patio for fresh air when needed. The Cattleman's room is semi-private and can hold up to 40 guests, while the Cellar holds 20 people nestled between its walls filled with fine wines and liquors on display.

For small bridal parties, you can also pick from one of the three semi-private alcoves that fit eight people each.

You can choose from a wide variety of plated options that vary in price but include fish, steak, lobster and more. The chef provides farm-to-table food with seasonal flair, ensuring every bite is of the highest quality available. McCormick & Schmick's

McCormick & Schmick's is committed to supplying guests with a top-notch dining experience, complete with photographable plates, fine wines and a classy yet relaxed atmosphere.
