On November 20, 2024, Love Is Blind season one star Giannina Gibelli and former Bachelorette contestant Blake Horstmann took to social media to confirm that they're set to tie the knot. "So I can kiss you anytime I want 💍," the couple shared in a joint post on Instagram.
If you've been following these reality icons since their initial TV stints, the engagement won't come as a surprise. After they met while filming the crossover series All Star Shore in 2021, Gibelli told E! News the following summer that they were already discussing their future plans to get engaged, have a wedding, and start a family.

Blake Horstmann proposed to Giannina Gibelli on October 30, 2024, while on vacation at Parque del Retiro in Madrid, Spain. The sunset engagement took the Love Is Blind star by surprise, as evidenced by the sweet photos shared on Instagram, but she wasted no time giving her answer. "She actually said 'yes' before I could open the box to show her the ring," Horstmann recalled to People. "When she did finally see [the ring], she was breathless and so happy, so that felt really amazing," he continued. "We are over the moon and we can't wait to be married in front of our loved ones."
Gibelli told the outlet that being engaged was the "best feeling in the world," adding, "Our love story has been everything I've always dreamt it would be and more. As soon as I met Blake, I knew he was my soulmate and I know the universe was always leading me to him. Being together forever and creating our family is literally the joy of my life."

Giannina Gibelli's engagement ring is a custom 4.87-carat oval engagement ring, which is one of the most popular styles right now according to The Knot's data. The center stone is a lab-grown diamond nestled on an 18K yellow gold pavé band in the brand's "Luxe Versailles" setting.
"I had been looking for the perfect ring for over a year," Horstmann told People. "I had an idea of what she wanted—cut, clarity, etc.—but I didn't want to go and pick out a ring with her. I really wanted the ring to be a complete surprise."

Giannina Gibelli and Blake Horstmann met in 2021 while they were filming the first season of All Star Shore, a reality crossover series. (Prior to that, he was the runner-up on Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette in 2018. Meanwhile, Gibelli appeared on season one of Love Is Blind, where she got engaged to Damian Powers. The two ultimately parted ways on the wedding day.) While doing press interviews to promote All Star Shore in July 2022, Gibelli revealed to E! News that they were already discussing their future engagement. "I'm definitely not uncomfortable talking about being engaged to him or just spending the rest of my life with him," she explained.
