Miranda Lambert and Husband Brendan McLoughlin Celebrate Wedding Anniversary

A year goes by so fast… even for Miranda Lambert and husband Brendan McLoughlin. The spouses celebrated their first wedding anniversary on January 26, 2020, with the country singer sharing a rare sliver of marital PDA on social media.

Lambert took to Instagram to post a photo from her wedding day—a candid snapshot of the pair smiling and taking a stroll through the woods. "I'm so happy to walk through this life with you," the "Tin Man" singer expressed. "Thank you Brendan for making me the proudest wife and stepmom. You are the reason for all my new smile lines. I love you. #MrsMcLoughlin."

Miranda Lambert's husband is a former officer for the New York Police Department. It's reported that the couple first met on the day Lambert was scheduled for a Good Morning America appearance alongside Pistol Annies bandmates Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley. At the time, McLoughlin was posted at Times Square, where the studio is located, and the rest, though it wasn't New Year's Eve, was fireworks. (The police department confirmed when the news broke that McLoughlin was in the vicinity on assignment when Lambert appeared.)

It wasn't until three weeks later that Lambert confirmed her nuptials to McLoughlin on social media with a series of images from their wedding day. "In honor of Valentine's Day I wanted to share some news," she expressed at the time. "I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you Brendan Mcloughlin for loving me for … me."

For the occasion, Lambert was clad in a long-sleeve, lace gown with a revealing back from Lela Rose, and the artist paired her wedding day look with a bouquet comprised of white hydrangeas and greenery.

It's certainly been a year of firsts for Miranda Lambert and her husband, including his first official red carpet appearance alongside his wife at the American Country Music Awards in April. Since their wedding, the singer has occasionally (and rather comically) posted snippets of her shirtless husband doing housework around their home.
