I came to Beatrice 2 MONTHS before my wedding with a dress 2 sizes too big, obviously, in a panic. Of course, every other alterations place was too busy to help me and wouldn’t even call me back. Beatrice was the only one who responded and offered to help me! I did 2 fittings with her and she rushed to complete my dress which she finished literally the day before I left out of town for my wedding. I am SO THANKFUL she was willing to work with me! My dress was VERY expensive, but pretty simple as far as fabric - just satin. But, it had a corset inside and and intricate and delicate waistline and bust area. She took in the dress at the waist and bust, hemmed the train, and she added straps to my dress for me and a bustle in the back. Her work was impeccable, I have no idea how she fitted it so perfectly. Beatrice works out of her home by herself and has a room full of what looks like 100 dresses she is working on, all of which are very intricate beaded/lace/sequin/silk gowns and require a ton of attention to detail and care. After being a bride myself and knowing how brides can be especially when it comes to their wedding dresses, I know she wants to help make your dress perfect! Be understanding of her time, text her and remind her a week before your appointment, and then text her again the day before and confirm and communicate with her about your appointments and deadlines. She has a LOT going on, so I would honestly say it’s on you to keep up with her about what you need and she will make sure your needs are met! I would not have had a wedding dress if it wasn’t for Beatrice and there are not many alterations places where you can get work like this done. Thank you so much for your beautiful work!

My mother and I took my dress to Beatrice mid January 2022, and we are in the middle of the process of completely transforming my dress, so it is pretty much a custom gown. Beatrice has been wonderful throughout the whole process. Very detail oriented, realistic, timely, and has been very flexible with my busy schedule and living out of town. I am on my third round of fittings, and the process is going amazing. It is so incredible to see my vision come to life, thanks to Beatrice! I for sure recommend her and have to all my friends getting married!

I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Beatrice recently in which I feel extremely blessed to have done so. I came to her with 2 weeks until my big day and my dress wasn't accentuating my body like I wanted too ( I gained a lot of weight in between fittings), Beatrice saw the worry in my face. She told me everything was gonna be alright with such a warm reassuring smile. I hesitated last minute and I decided to buy another dress (I wouldn't recommend it lol). I took the second dress to Beatrice and she worked late nights to early morning hours to finish my dress. Before my last fitting she realized I didn't have a veil. Initially I didn't want one because I felt like that's not who I was. She tried a few on me and told me she would make me one specifically for my dress. I wasn't on board with the idea of having a veil just yet. Last fitting, I tried on the dress AND veil...I was speechless. Beatrice begin to cry along with me, it was such a beautiful moment. I took the veil and dress home that day and was more excited to get married than when I initially arrived with my first dress. She was very professional and easy to communicate with via phone and text messaging. Again, I highly recommend Beatrice's- her beautiful work and talent speaks volumes!!

I gave it this many stars because I do like how my dress ended up coming out. However, she does not write down appointment dates. We ended up picking up my dress 3 weeks late because she had not worked on it. Our original pickup date, we showed up and she had forgotten our appointment was that day, then continued to say how she hurt her shoulder and is unable to work on the dress so we had to leave and come back later, totally fine, but I do wish she would have communicated before we drove out to her house over 30 minutes away. The second date I come to pickup my dress, as we did specify that the next date was for pickup, she said there were "additional decisions" that needed to be made so she could finish the dress. Everything she measured and went over had been done the previous appointment which leads me to believe she just did not have it done on time. When confronting her about her lack of communication she proceeded to get defensive immediately and screamed at me without letting me speak. She demanded respect and then when bringing up her poor communication she asked if "I wanted to kill her" as I was hurting her feelings. COMPLETELY unprofessional and I was very freaked out. She went off the handle only to later apologize and ask for my forgiveness for her behavior and said she didn't want me to leave her a bad review. Just because I am 24 does not mean she is able to speak to me like a child, which she did, which I addressed. She said she is not required to communicate with me when she is not feeling well. I told her I was happy to give her additional time with an injury but she continued to not take me up on the offer only to continue to be late with delivering my dress. She tried to play nice as I was FINALLY leaving with my dress like she didn't just scream at one of her customers. She tried to blame me saying she didn't know she should work on my dress firstly because of her shoulder, then changed her mind to say it was because we hadn't paid. She required us to MAIL her a check so we could pickup on the original date. She never received the check and it was lost in the mail, this was also never communicated until I consistently followed up on the check status. She's rude, completely unprofessional and NOT worth the hassle. Not to mention, incredibly cocky. The entire appointment she talked about how she is "God's gift to the seamstress industry" and how she "makes everything perfect with her incredible talent". From seeing the other poor reviews I expect her husband to get on here and refute to defend her character. Again, unprofessional.

Beatrice was such a professional! She was helpful and talented and worked hard to make my wedding dress exactly what I wanted.

Beatriz was beyond professional, patient and welcoming. I wish she did other alterations not just wedding dresses but I’m so happy she made my dress fit perfect.

I want to thank Beatrice at Alterations and Veils for all of her hard work and putting up with me weeks before my wedding! I was on a time crunch from the day I purchased my wedding dress to the day of my wedding. I called several places in town and not one place I called could work with my time line so you can imagine my joy when Beatrice said she would help me and not to worry, "just come right in" is what she said. My husband is in the military and it was very important that my dress be altered in time since he would only be in town the weekend of the wedding! Beatrice was prompt, thorough, and a perfectionist! I was literally in tears the day of my pre fitting, my dress looked gorgeous and all I wanted was for it to be perfect on my wedding day. As we started talking about my veil (which I had not purchased yet), Beatrice said that she could actually custom make a veil to match my dress. I wasn't aware her talent extended beyond just alterations. She showed me custom dresses and veils that she had actually made and it really made me happy knowing I chose her business. After a few weeks, I had my final fitting along with my new custom veil and I couldn't be happier with the results! After my wedding and everything was settled, I took my dress back to Beatrice and she had it preserved for me. It's now in a beautiful box where I can admire it for years to come. Thank You so much Beatrice for all your hard work and getting my dress and veil done in time for my big day. I highly recommend Beatrice, her expertise is unmatched in the Austin area.

Had the most amazing consultation! Beatrice was so kind listened to all my concerns and really understood what I was envisioning. She was very confident she could achieve my dream dress alterations. I've done my research and was tired of being told oh you can't do this or that we have to do it this way. Not with Beatrice she listens to what you are wanting to alter takes in to consideration your concerns with my particular case it was all the beading on my dress. She was the first woman I met who actually responded to me confidently about altering my dress. I have no doubt it my mind my dress will be anything less than perfect! Beatrice did an AMAZING job altering my dress! I ordered my dress online for my COVID micro wedding and it came in WAY too tight. I called Beatrice less than a month before my wedding and she was able to let out the dress and make it look absolutely perfect for my day. She saw me weekly for fittings at times that were convenient for me- she was incredible! Thank you Beatrice!

Beatrice did an incredible job with my Berta gown, she made it fit like a glove so I could rock the mermaid look. Her talent really shinned when it came to making straps for my dress so that I could meet church requirements then I could take them off later for the party!

Beatrice is a true pro at alterations. She was able to make my dress fit perfectly and in a short time frame before my wedding date. She really worked with me until I felt comfortable with how I looked in the dress, and she was able to adjust the straps of my dress flawlessly and maintain its delicate beading work. Can’t recommend her enough! She’s worth every penny.

I bought my dress and it didn’t fit, at all. I took it to Beatrice with several months before my wedding and she assured me she could make it work. Beatrice let me come for several fittings, and was always a joy to be around! My dress turned out better than I could have imagined. She added a pocket (!!!) for me, AND it fits!!! We had to reschedule our May reception due to COVID, but I wore my dress for our wedding ceremony and am so excited I get to wear it a second time in October. Beatrice rocks!!!

Beatrice is not only wonderfully talented but incredible to work with. I bought a used wedding dress not knowing the amount of work that needed to go into it. Beatrice transformed my dress into something more beautiful than I could've imagined.

Bride Be Warned: My experience with Beatrice Rodriguez is one of the worst and most stressful experiences of my life. I really am unsure how Beatrice has received positive reviews. My only conclusion is that she treated me differently, so I warn any other bride who may be the victim of her other side that I unfortunately experienced. I loved my dress before I brought it to her. She altered the dress in a way that changed the fit and style, so I did not complete the total $1,650 payment that she demanded. She sued me for the final $400 payment on the work that she did not complete, on a dress that I left with her (and she still has) just so I would not have to deal with her criticism and lack of understanding that the work she was doing changed the shape of the dress in a way that was no longer flattering. I purchased a new dress two weeks before my wedding day because she would not release the original dress to allow me to take it to a new seamstress to correct her mistakes. She insulted me, made me cry, and fought my credit card disputes when I tried to recoup some of the $1,250 that I paid. I lost over $7,000 dealing with this woman, from the purchase of the original dress, a new dress, and the nine appointments that I drove an hour to attend. I counter-sued her, but neither of us were awarded anything from the judge. I can only hope that this review will help warn other brides to go elsewhere. She is not a good person and she has the power to make your life hell. Don't risk it. A wedding should be a positive experience, and I wish I never would have made the mistake of working with her. I am thankful that it is now in my past. It took me a long time to have the courage to write this review, but I realized that I would be guilty if I did not share my experience as I can only hope others will not suffer as I did from dealing with her.

Beatrice is AMAZING at what she does. Long story short, I had a custom made, very expensive wedding dress, that when it arrived, was entirely a poor fit. The torso was too short, the back was too high, etc. It was a nightmare. Beatrice was able to work with the store and designer from which I ordered my dress in order to get more fabric so that she could work her magic. Beatrice worked with me almost right up until the day of the wedding to make sure the dress was perfect. My dress had so many details and a corset on the inside. Beatrice was able to make it perfect. She was also able to open up the back of the dress, as I really wanted a deeper back. Without Beatrice, I would've been disappointed with how my dress looked. Beatrice always made me feel like a beautiful princess when I was in her studio. I owe her a million thanks for making my dream dress a reality! PS- Her husband is also a sweetheart and was able to deliver my dress to the hotel on my wedding day <3

I was in desperate need to find a seamstress to alter my dress since my wedding is approaching really soon. Before booking with Beatriz,I went to visit another place in which I did not feel comfortable with because she was unable to provide me with the services I needed. I was looking specifically to have “boning” done to my dress in the bodice area. Luckily, when I found Beatriz, not only did she fit me into her busy schedule, but she also met all my alteration expectations! She knew exactly what I needed and wanted done! And all for a very affordable price. She is such a sweet person and very friendly, I really don’t know what I would of done if I never came across her shop.

Beatrice is amazing at what she does. She's so sweet and funny - and always makes you feel comfortable when you come in for your fittings. She explains exactly what needs to be done at each fitting, and makes sure you are happy with everything before you leave. I had to have A TON of alterations done to my dress, and she made everything perfect by my last fitting. (I believe I had to come in 4 different times). Highly recommend!

Beatrice is a funny and talented woman who did a spectacular job on my dress alterations. I had to come in about 4 times, as I continually lost weight between our first encounter and last. Although at one time, she did close some of the dress, she did the extra work to reopen it and take it in more. God bless her! I enjoyed bringing family and friends to our appointments, as Beatrice is a hoot! Please see the pictures to truly show off her talents. I can't imagine going to anyone else for the work that was needed on my dress.

Beatrice was absolutely the best choice for my wedding dress alteration. Living in Midland, TX, I didn't have many choices nearby that I trusted to alter my dress that was almost 2 sizes too large and 4 inches too long. Since we were getting married in Austin, I decided to look there and found glowing reviews for Beatrice. On my first visit, Beatrice was straight forward in telling me how much the alterations would cost, approximately how many fittings, and also detailed how the dress would be kept safe at her in-home studio. She was extremely knowledgeable in altering wedding dresses specifically and explained how she would alter certain aspects of the dress. Overall, I came 4 times for my dress fittings. Every time was so much fun and filled with laughter. It definitely made the whole process so much more enjoyable, and it felt like I was with someone I had known a long time. I would highly recommend Beatrice to anyone who needs alterations, ESPECIALLY on elaborate dresses like the one I had (multiple layers, boning, lace, beadwork, etc.). She will work on the dress until it is absolutely a perfect fit. After spending hundreds, if not thousands on a dress, it doesn't make sense to go to someone cheap for a cheap job. Choose Beatrice!

Beatrice was so much fun to work with! I always loved my appointments with her. She is so kind and funny. She also is the best at what she does! I bought a sample wedding dress off the shelf at an upscale bridal boutique, but it was way too big for me. I brought it to Beatrice around 7 weeks before the wedding. The dress had a lot of lace and detail so I wasn't sure how anyone was going to alter it for me. Beatrice made me feel so confident and comfortable that my dress would be perfect and done on time. And it was! Everyone gave me so many compliments on how well my dress fit. I want to get another dress altered just so I can visit her again!

The consultation and initial appointments with Ms Bea have been a blessing. She is very confident in what she is doing. She explains the steps that she has to take in order to make necessary alterations. She has been very easy to work with - she has a very pleasant, honest, and loving spirit!☺️

I had my consultation with Beatrice yesterday. I have been worried about my dress alterations since I first bought my dress back in early November of last year. Specifically, I wanted to add sleeves to my dress (because I’m very self-conscious about my arms) but I didn’t want to ruin the dress by doing so. I’ve been searching and searching Pinterest for ideas for sleeves but the worry didn’t go away until I met Beatrice. I was looking for a family owned businesses or a small place that did alterations because I didn’t want it to be where my dress was quickly worked on and on to the next. Beatrice’s shop is family owned. Her boutique is super cute , roomy; and comfortable. She is a busy seamstress but focuses on what the client is describing to her, and she worked with my hectic work schedule for my appointment (texting me back at 10:00 at night or later lol). I showed her the photos on Pinterest that I had saved and her mind started going with ideas. She pulled some similar fabric on hand and placed it on the dress so that I can truly envision what it will look like. She took the time to explain everything she would be doing to my dress and how she’s be using material from my dress to add to the sleeves. Last but not least, I had bought a veil at an auction online from a bridal shop that was closing. The website didn’t have great pictures so it ended up being far too long for what I wanted. She started showing me how she could fix it for me to the length that I desired as well as use the material from my dress to make it more custom and match my dress (I’m very short and some of the lace detail (very little) will have to be removed. All in all, I really look forward to getting my dress back, and I’ll be sure to come back and edit my review.

I had setup an appointment a month in advance, and on the day of my consultation, she was not at her house. I knocked, I called, I texted, and I waited, with absolutely no response. I had been excitedly anticipating my consult, having chosen her specifically because of her good reviews. I took the day off from work to get ready because she is in North Austin, 30 minutes away from where I live in South Austin. I was so looking forward to making my wedding dress perfect, so of course it was a huge letdown and disappointment to realize that she either forgot, or as she later explained "she had to leave and thought she would be back in time, and forgot her phone at home". She did not bother to let me know in advance, that she needed to reschedule, postpone, or simply that she might be late. I'm sorry, but that is simply not professional behavior. I drove an hour round-trip, for nothing. So, if you have lots of time to waste, or don't mind unprofessional behavior, then by all means, call her.

Beatrice does amazing work. I came to her with my wedding dress which has intricate lace detail, multiple cascading layers, and beading. She was able to hem all the layers to perfect symmetry to fit my measurements. She moved up lace detail so I didn’t lose any of the design of the dress. She also fit my bodice to exact measurements with no alteration lines. She was even able to save some of the fabric underneath so if I want to save it for my daughter later on, she will be able to let out some of the hemline.

Beatrice did an amazing job with my dress. I am a 4'10" so it was difficult to find a dress that looked well and had volume at the bottom. Beatrice was able to alter my dress so that it was adjustable in length and because of that, I was able to take off my shoes at the reception and dance the night away without stepping on my dress! She is a genuine woman who truly cares about her brides. I would recommend her in a heartbeat. Thank you Beatrice!

We adore Beatrice! She not only did a fantastic job altering my daughter's wedding dress (over and over as she lost weight...) but also altered my Mother-of-the-Bride dress flawlessly. I felt like a movie star! My dress fit like a glove and was perfect in every way. If you want the best, go to Beatrice. She will ensure that your dress is exactly what you envisioned and that you are 100% satisfied before you walk out the door. I will absolutely go to her again in the future for other alterations!

Beatrice did amazing alterations on my wedding dress!!! I was pretty upset when the dress I ordered came in and fit loosely. I found her on the Knot app and was not disappointed!! Beatrice was always so fun to talk to! It wad always fun going to my fittings and talking to her, she helped me forget wedding planning stress! She works very fast. My dress was not easy to alter because it had a lot of hand sewn lace and beading. She added some features to the dress that made is even better than I could have imagined!!! Her work is worth every penny. She was super flexible when it got closer to my wedding day and the schedule got crazy. She never once said "no" or got upset to a reschedule. Highly highly recommend her!!!

She did a great job with the dress, she's an incredible seamstress, but she's EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. It's not fair how pricey she is. I would shop around and price compare, so you know what else is out there.

Beatrice did an amazing job with my wedding dress, which was fairly complicated to alter. She was careful and transparent about the costs of the different alterations, which I appreciated. She was very personable and accommodating. She had the dress completed and ready for me to pick up earlier than we had originally planned, and she even helped me pack it up carefully to be sent to my wedding destination! The cost of her work is not cheap, but the results were better than I could have hoped for. My dress fits me perfectly and I cannot wait to wear it on the big day!

Beatrice is an amazing seamstress! She re-designed and re constructed my entire wedding dress. She re-designed the neckline into a beautiful sweetheart. When I purchased the gown I def didn't love it, it didn't fit or flatter my body type. However after Beatrice altered and re-designed the gown I was in love!!!! The final product surpassed every vision of how I wanted to look on my wedding day! If you want a seamstress who really cares what you want and how you feel, you should def go to Beatrice.

Beatrice is so talented, creative and fun to work with! She has the most beautiful design ideas and is not at all offended if you don't like them or that's not what you want. She makes sure your dress is EXACTLY how you envision it! She also has very fair pricing and is hilarious. I very highly recommend her!!

When my dress arrived from the manufacturer, I didn't like it. I was convinced I made a mistake and selected the wrong dress and was devastated. I googled seamstress in the area and went to see Beatrice. Not only was she great to work with but she transformed my dress, she knew immediately where the problems were and after the first fitting I started to love my dress again. Beatrice is a perfectionist, she won't let a dress leave her shop until it's perfect. She was extremely knowledgable about the construction of wedding gowns and what cuts were most flattering for my body, she went above and beyond and I am so grateful. Thank you Beatrice!

Beatrice has given me the best Wedding Dress alteration experience I could have asked for! She is a very talented and caring person, and knew exactly what had to be done in order to turn my dress into the perfect fit. I knew what to expect starting at the consultation without any surprises later on. I needed a ton of alterations because my dress was way too big, that also included the top part of my dress which was heavily beaded. I know she spend a ton of time just on the beaded part, which takes a lot of patience, and in the end it looked like the dress never underwent any alterations at all. It was flawless! Beatrice always took her time when I came in for a fitting, and I always looked forward to them. The very first time I put on my dress it felt like somebody else's dress but with every fitting it completely transformed and became mine. Even though the alterations were pricey I never thought about going anywhere else. Beatrice is an expert at wedding dress alterations and worth spending money on! I am so happy I found her!!

Beatrice truly saved me. I came to her about a month before my wedding with a fitted style dress that another seamstress in town had not performed on. She was very quickly able to identify what should have been done and what could be done. Due to my stress with the dress before finding Beatrice, I had ended up falling in love with a second dress that was far too big and she talked me through what the process would be for that one to work as well. I chose the second dress (also a fit and flare) and she made it truly mine. It fit me perfectly and my stress and emotions from my issues with the first dress and first seamstress melted away. She saw me every week, and even every other day towards the end until that dress was exactly what I wanted. She was very creative/skilled with how to make things happen and always offered me options before following through. She really knows what she is doing and she will definitely tell it you how it is. It seems that many do not know how to work with a fitted dress, but she is extremely skilled. As far as her scheduling, she runs her own business and is very busy so it is not as easy as it could be, but she does always accommodate you. In my case I came to her last minute with and immediate need and she certainly came through for me, so I showed up however and whenever I could. She is also considered very pricey and I will confirm that, but for me it was totally worth it. She does guarantee that the dress will be whatever you discuss in the beginning whens she quotes you. She says it herself..."you pay for the dress and then you pay to make the dress yours." I totally agree with her and don't regret 1 penny spent. Thank you Beatrice!

Beatrice is absolutely amazing at what she does! I live in Corpus Christi and am getting married in the Houston area, and only found Beatrice in Austin because my fiance is temporarily working here...and let me say, Beatrice's work is worth traveling for! I already had my dress altered by another seamstress, and when I got it back it was still big and she told me there was nothing else she could do to help me. When I took my dress to Beatrice, she was immediately confident that she could transform my dress, and she did! Beatrice is a perfectionist and gets her work done quickly. I am getting married this Saturday, and I brought my dress in last Thursday since I was visiting for the weekend and she had my dress ready before the weekend was over! I can't thank her enough for helping me feel perfect for my wedding day!

I cannot say enough good things about Beatrice! Such an incredibly sweet woman with an amazing eye for detail. She knew exactly what needed to be done and executed it perfectly. I had my dress made to my measurements, but it still needed a little work to make it look perfect on my body and Beatrice made that happen. I had tried on the dress many time before my final pick up and the end result brought me to tears! I highly highly recommend her. I've heard so many horror story's about alterations gone wrong, so having her do my dress was like a dream! She is so so wonderful!

Beatrice is a sartorial genius! She altered my Valentino wedding gown largely by hand, reinforcing the bodice with strategically-placed boning and padding, adding a European bustle (much lower than the American version) to preserve the lines of the finely-pleated chiffon back of the dress, and replicating the delicate roll-hem after she shortened the satin front. I was incredibly impressed with her knowledge, vision, and attention to detail. Beatrice earned my total trust, and I recommend her without reservation for even the most complicated alterations on the most expensive dresses.

Alterations & Veils by Beatrice is the best in Austin, Texas! I recently purchased a very heavily beaded gown from BHLDN for my wedding. Not realizing that the alterations would require a lot of detailed work, I cringed at the though of spending hundreds of dollars to have it altered. However, after finding Beatrice, I could not be happier with my dress and the cost of the alterations. Every time I had an appointment with her, it was like I was going to visit a member of my own family. Her warm welcome, her assurance that everything was going to be great, her professionalism, her creative ideas to cut costs, was just what I needed to have fun and feel good about my choice in my dress. I also felt very at ease with her, and started to very much look forward to our visits. Beatrice was fantastic at coming up with new ideas for my dress, addressing any questions or needs that I had, and on top of it all, altering a dress that was covered in beads! This woman is a super professional and if you have any and all alteration needs in the Austin, Texas area, I highly suggest going to her. She went above and beyond to be kind and make our collaboration special. I can honestly say that I am very happy that she was a part of my wedding, even if only behind the scenes. My dress came out absolutely stunning, and on our last visit she gave me a free birdcage for my hair, as well as a handmade angel that her mother made, to keep for good luck. I kept the angel in my purse my entire wedding night. The only thing that could have been better than Beatrice working on my dress, was if my own mother was doing it. Beatrice is very professional and personable. She prides herself in her work and makes sure her work is perfect and that you are satisfied. My sister and I needed our bridesmaid dress done in a hurry and she rescued us despite all odds! We love her :)

Beatrice was very helpful and made sure my wedding dress was perfect. Her services are a somewhat expensive, but they are are very much worth it. Not only she made my dress fit, which was a size to large, but she made it look seamless. My dress has a lot of beading and embroidery, so I was worried that it could be ruined in the wrong hands. Beatrice proved me wrong! She knows what she is doing and delivers on time. Highly recommend her for delicate, intricate alterations. Thanks Beatrice!

Beatrice is wonderful! I had her fix my vintage lace wedding gown and it turned out PERFECT! She is truly talented. I trusted her with my own vintage wedding gown- something that is near & dear to my heart and she was able to repair the torn lace perfectly! She is also altering my daughter's beaded lace new wedding gown for her wedding in 2 weeks. We are so thankful for Beatrice! She is so kind and treats all of her customers & brides like family!!

Beatrice is a professional and her home studio is extremely nice. Before I went to my first appointment I was nervous about leaving my dress in someone's house, but once I saw her set up, I was super comfortable. She is an expert seamstress, and it's worth the $ to get your dress done right! Recommended!

Beatrice is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! It has been such a pleasure working with her. She knows what she is doing- I would trust her with anything! Her expertise is lace and beading. My wedding is in 2 weeks and my dress looks absolutely amazing all thanks to Beatrice! She is incredible!!

Beatrice did a phenomenal job with my heavily beaded and intricate bridesmaids dress for a Gatsby themed wedding. I needed it shortened about 2-3 inches and the bride wanted to keep the trimmed off fabric for pocket squares for the groomsmen. Her work was beautifully done, and she had the excess fabric rolled and ready for me to ship to the bride. She is so kind and I will be lucky to work with her again if I ever get married :).

Beatrice was an absolute lifesaver for me when I had a bridesmaid dress altered by another place and they did a terrible job. She basically re-built the dress and it could not have been more perfect, it fit me like it was made for me. I would recommend her to absolutely anyone looking for alterations!

Beatrice is absolutely amazing. Her veils are heavenly beautiful, and what she can do with a gown is pure storybook quality. I went for a tiny alteration and felt I had stepped into another world. Beatrice is a superb seamstress and designer, as well as a kind and caring person.

Beatrice SAVED my wedding dress! And not a moment to soon! I decided to wear my mother's wedding dress as a tribute to my sweet mom. I went to another dress shop to have the dress "modernized"-the idea was to have the 80's sleeves and neckline modified. It certainly required more than alterations and it was really more about redesigning her old dress. Long story short, my mother's wedding dress was BOTCHED! I was heartbroken! I couldn't tell my mom, knowing it would upset her! This was supposed to be a very special bond for us. I got my dress back from the first woman who worked on it within only two weeks until my wedding. I found Beatrice online and called her in a panic. She got me in for an appointment THE DAY I called. She literally held me as I cried in my mother's dress. Beatrice works miracles!!!!! She completely reconstructed the bodice (added boning), redid the sleeves (I don't even know how as the lace was very delicate and intricate), fixed EVERY hem, EVERY stitch out of place, and fitted it to my body LIKE A GLOVE! She surprised me with a few extra finishes and I think she was almost more excited than I was by the end result! I got my dress the day we left for Oregon and I know she did a lot to squeeze me in for those two weeks. I felt like a princess on my wedding day! And to have Mama zip me up in the dress she wore when she married my dad 35 years was really special. I thought of Beatrice in that moment. I can never thank her enough for her dedication. Beatrice is basically a mad scientist (but brilliant) when it comes to dresses. She's zany and fun, and you can tell she is the absolute best at what she does by her attention to detail. Always confirm appointments with her. She is a busy lady. But she is sincere and passionate in her work. I wish I had known about her before I took my dress to anyone else. In the end, I paid Beatrice the exact same amount as what I paid the woman who botched my dress the first time. I felt her pricing was on point-especially with her level of expertise. If you are reading this review, save yourself the headache and call Beatrice!

My review in on the consultation. I did not move forward with Beatrice for alterations. As noted in other reviews scheduling is not Beatrice's strong suit. In an effort to proactively manage this I confirmed my appointment with Beatrice several times and in multiple written communication. Via text, phone and outlook appointment. When I arrived she was with another client. I waited a half hour before Beatrice took me in for my appointment. She proceeded by telling me my appointment was a half hour later and essentially arguing with me. When she looked at her notes and saw I was right she said "well I'm flexible I hope you're flexible". Annoying way to start an appointment. She had me pay upfront for the appointment. Which I thought was odd. I got into my dress and she counted the layers and gave be a quote to hem the dress. I thanked her for her time and said it was so far out of my budget that I would not be moving forward. This is the kicker!!!! She then took pictures of me in my dress!!!!! I was furious, I didn't use her as a seamstress and she certainly should not be using pictures of me for who knows what. If you are comfortable with scattered and rude she is the seamstress for you.

Beatrice was awesome!! It took several months to get the dress fitted but it was absolutely perfect. Even after my bridal portraits, she took it back for a couple more things.
