Great Venue for a WeddingReviewed on 4/05/2014
We fell in love with the Batcheller Mansion. Although I've lived near Saratoga all my life I never knew it was there until my wife and I started looking for a venue for our wedding. Since we were looking for a Victorian theme this Victorian era Mansion was ideal. It is impeccably maintained and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The Head Inkeeper Dan was a delight at all stages of the planning, the actual event, and after the wedding. The superb complementary breakfasts alone are worth the price of a room. Dan and all of his staff were extremely accommodating whether it was out 10th visit to the Mansion to remind ourselves of some detail we had forgot, or to take pictures for planning different parts of the event, or even offering helpful suggestions to a bride and groom they could probably tell were in over their heads. Since we had almost half of our guests coming from across the country it was extremely helpful to have the rooms upstairs available for our guests. It also gave a nice place for our older guests to retire later in the night, and a place for the younger guests to relax after a long night on the town in downtown Saratoga Springs which is walking distance from the Mansion. We have been back to the Mansion since the wedding and plan to frequent guests in the future.
The GoodHales 2012Reviewed on 2/04/2013 Donna G
The Batchellor Mansion Inn could not have been any better of a place to have our wedding. Daniel and Chelsea were so ever accomodation with all of our requests, from moving furniture, removing drapes, etc. The mission of the mansion staff for the entire weekend was one of total client satisfaction. We would not hesitate in reccomending this venue for a wedding or any event. We hosted 80 guests, rented out the entire place for two days, and had the most wonderful time. Daniel said to consider the place ours. We felt like we were home.
Best. Wedding. Ever.Reviewed on 1/31/2013 Amy K
If it were possible to give the Batcheller Mansion a 10-star review, we would! The place was gorgeous, the staff super helpful, and even the recommended vendors were fabulous! We rented the Mansion for an entire weekend, and the entire experience of having our immediate family and bridal party under one roof for a few days helped make our wedding very unique and special. Much, much love to the Batcheller Mansion! We can't wait to go back for our anniversary! (Also, I know I checked the cost being 5000-1000, but that's because we rented for several days. Honestly it broke down to much less than it would have costed to rent a separate hall and rooms at the Holiday Inn across the street. Great value.)
Beautiful Historic Victorian InnReviewed on 10/07/2012 Kyle T
The Batcheller Mansion Inn is a Beautiful Historic Victorian Inn. We did not use one single decoration inside due to the original beauty of the Mansion. The Inn keepers (Dan and Chelsea) were more than professional and accommodating, they became friends with the bride, groom, their family, attendees, and guests. Each time anyone visited the Inn to look around the place they were more than happy to provide a tour. They also encouraged my husband and I to come whenever we felt necessary to plan our tent reception in the backyard. Dan and Chelsea always greeted us with a smile and offered us a home-made Chocolate Chip Cookie. The Mansion provided a beautiful backdrop to our out door tent wedding on the beautiful grounds. The grounds are not big so a wedding of 120 is the max capacity. We had 75 people and it was perfect for an intimate affair. My husband and I recommend this place very highly to someone who enjoys the beauty of a historic building with a warm atmosphere.
