Bernadette and her team were instantly helpful, always checked in on me, came up with fresh ideas, and stayed calm throughout every hiccup during the planning process and wedding day. They even helped my mother in law throw the rehearsal dinner to lighten up the family's load the day before. From the stunning decor, to being the point of contact with the vendors, to drawing the perfect layout and dealing with my "type A" personality, Desert Whim truly was incredible. The wedding day I knew everything was in good hands and I didn't have to worry about anything. That is HUGE! She made my husband feel calm and at ease during it all and everything went seamless. We first heard about Desert Whim from a family friend who had thrown a BEAUTIFUL wedding, which you never would have known was on a tight budget. Seeing how much 'bang for buck' Desert Whim delivered with our family friend, we immediately reached out for a consultation. The magic behind Desert Whim's owner and lead designer, Bernadette, is no secret because they were totally booked up! But - as you will discover - there is NOTHING Bernadette cannot do. She pulled strings, moved mountains, and somehow got us on her books for our dream wedding and our desired date. Following months of planning and preparation, we were thrown a curve ball with COVID-19 which caused multiple major changes at the last minute. Bernadette's team remained totally unfazed and consistently brought a "can do!!!" attitude with healthy (NOT overbearing) enthusiasm that kept us afloat during all the pandemic ups and downs. We fully trusted Bernadette's taste, experience, and leadership. Her team thought of EVERY detail and took care of EVERYTHING seamlessly. She stood up for us when vendor negotiations occurred, and as stated above, NEVER (not once!) came back from a problem without already having a solution. Her team was impeccably professional throughout the planning, preparation, execution, set up/breakdown process; and treated us like we were their close friends who we've known forever. Everyone was 500% respectful, clear in communication, and extremely responsive. The final product was PERFECT, just as we had hoped for.

Desert Whim's services were the best investment for my wedding! I clicked with Bernadette and Kaitlyn within minutes of our first meeting. They were always there to answer my questions every step of the way (even as a coordination client, not even full-service planning). Their online planning interface is super easy to use, too. In the month leading up to my wedding, they asked questions, offered feedback, and took the pressure off me to contact all the other vendors and make sure everyone was on the same page. The day of, I didn't worry about a THING! Kaitlyn and Talia executed my vision perfectly, kept the day's events on track, and were so kind and supportive all day. Absolutely the best decision I made when choosing my wedding day vendors - Desert Whim was there for me every step of the way, and exceeded all of my expectations! Not only are they all professional and tremendously talented, but they are all loving, caring, and truly care deeply for their Brides and love what they do! I couldn’t have dreamed of a better wedding planner! Bernadette and her team were by my side the whole way, relieving the stress of decision making while planning a big wedding. My husband and I were both blown away with the work that Bernadette and her team did. After my first meeting with her, I was initially concerned, because I had no answers to any of her questions! She brought up tons of things I hadn't even thought of, but I guess that's the whole point in having a professional help. She worked to help me determine what I actually cared about and gave me recommendations of vendors and ways to get the things I decided I needed to incorporate. She was very attentive and knowledgeable, and made sure she was present at all the meetings with my venue, even ones I wasn't at. On our big day, she arrived with the first vendor, and made sure all the small hiccups were corrected almost in real time. When the flowers arrived, she even made it a point to bring them into where I was getting ready so I could make sure they were just right before the florist left. Her team, Kaitlyn and Sarah, were also very attentive, and ensured that my husband and I got everything we wanted. Kaitlyn even went with us and our photographers since it had been raining earlier in the day and helped manage the train of my dress! We really felt like royalty with all the care and attention that put into us and our big day. Even after the wedding was over when a few things seemed to end up misplaced in transportation, she was quick to reply and help. If I were to change anything, I would have hired her full wedding planning service because of all the stress that Bernadette minimized for me. We had multiple guests tell us it was the most organized and well run wedding they have ever attended. I enjoyed working with Bernadette so much that my only compliant is that my time with her was not long enough!

Wow, where do I begin... Bernadette came highly recommended to me by my photographer and friend Kristen Hennke. After our first meeting, I knew Bernadette would help make my wedding of my dreams. Throughout the whole process, Bernadette remained professional, kind, compassionate, and dedicated. We had SO many hiccups and double bookings and Bernadette helped me handle everything with grace. Even on the day of the wedding, when things inevitably went wrong, she help me keep my cool and presented me with solutions. She eased my anxiety and my mind all while being a good friend as well. Her team, Kaitlyn was AMAZING. The whole process was bearable thanks to them. I would recommend them to anyone getting married, whether it’s full planning or just day of.. trust me it’s worth EVERY PENNY!!! We love Desert Whim 💕

If I could give them 100 stars I would! What a magical wedding it was last weekend at Gather Estate! We had gotten engaged in 2018 and spent much time with Bernadette and her Desert Whim team planning our special day! Bernadette is absolutely the most wonderful lady to work with, so attentive and professional, but also makes you feel like family! From start to finish they execute perfection, make your vision come alive. People ask if you were stressed or worried the day of the wedding and I can honestly say, I felt taken care of, I was able to focus completely on the most important part of the wedding, marrying and saying my vows to my husband. If you are in search of a wedding planner, look no further, seriously just don't! You have found your match and will have the most beautiful wedding with Bernadette and her Desert Whim Team!

We could not have asked for a more dedicated, organized and driven wedding coordinator! Bernadette and her team were prompt, courteous and professional from our initial contact (requesting a quote) to executing our Big Day. Literally 90% of my stress and anxiety was taken (given away) away once we hired Desert Whim. I felt so positive with their competency level and capabilities that I knew we were in good hands from the get-go.

You know your planner is doing their job well when your photographer says during sunset pictures, that this is the most seamless wedding he’s ever been apart of. “There hasn’t been ANY problems”, I just thought as being the bride I hadn’t heard of them, but no everything was so well planned, there were no hiccups. Two most important thing when selecting a wedding planner is their personality and trust. For me, I had a vision and I needed to trust that Desert Whim would keep its integrity, and they exceeded my expectations. Bernadette and her team were the best fit, because of her way she neutralize stressful situations paired with her can do attitude. It was so nice not to worry and trust in Bernadette throughout my planning process. I could ask for her advice or tell her to use her judgment. Even through countless rehearsal dinner venues cancelling on us, Bernadette’s attitude put me and my now husband at ease, trusting we’ll find the perfect fit. Which of course we did. My wedding weekend and day was beyond perfect, thanks to Desert Whim.

Bernadette and her team are wonderful! They helped make our wedding day the best day ever! She truly made our day effortless and that allowed us to enjoy every second of it. She's a great companion to bounce ideas off of, and we had so much fun planning the wedding day together. If you want to be stress free during the whole wedding process, and not have to deal with the inevitable hiccups on the big day hire an experienced planner! I can't stress that enough! But seriously, Bernadette is amazingly talented at what she does!

We used Desert Whim for our Vendor Curation at the beginning of planning. Bernadette was an absolute gem to work with!! She cared so much about us as individuals and making our wedding unique to us. We were able to get some fantastic vendors booked that we wouldn't have found otherwise. Her expertise and knowledge in the space is so valuable. Especially when you're a stressed bride just starting the process of planning, which is overwhelming. Not only that, but she genuinely became a friend by the end of planning. I would recommend her 10x over!

My wife and I can't say enough great things about Desert Whim! When we started planning, we knew that we wanted to get married in our back yard, but had no idea where to start. On top of that, we both travel a lot for work and we were in the process moving into a new house, so to say life was busy is an understatement. The Desert Whim Team & Bernadette made our Wedding Day beyond magical. There were so many behind the scenes things that needed to come together the day of the wedding in regards to decor and helping to organize the vendors, and they did such a fantastic job of making sure I was relaxed, taken care of, and not worrying about a thing as they made everything come to life. Bernadette helped give me life talks leading up to the wedding if/when I was stressed. She was a friend to me throughout the whole wedding planning process. I truly feel I gained a great friend. Talia did such a great job at the rehearsal dinner organizing us all and leading us through practice! Bernadette recently had a beautiful baby and was willing to take on our wedding just 6ish weeks later, she is a true LADYBOSS! I highly recommend Desert Whim! We had less than 6 months to plan a wedding and were really at a loss on how to pull this whole thing together. It was important to us that we adhered to our budget while still trying to create the evening that we wanted to share with our family and friends. I know that we would never have accomplished it without the talent and support of Bernadette and her team. Desert Whim was able to make vendor recommendations that fit within our requirements, while still providing us with the beautiful event that we were hoping for. Their support went beyond that, however. Bernadette's calm, professional demeanor easily tackled the obstacles that inevitably cropped up planning an event like this. She was always supportive, responsive and capable, and we had a lovely, stress-free wedding that well exceeded our hopeful expectations. Wow! Bernadette was an absolute DREAM to work with! We 'met' via Instagram as we were planning our wedding in Scottsdale from MN and I 'caved' last minute for a day-of coordinator. Hands down, it was the BEST decision we made for our entire wedding. She covered details that we never thought of and made sure the day was 100% stress-free. Bernadette and her team are AMAZING! I was planning my wedding from across thr country and found myself in desperate need of help in the last month pulling all the details together and they worked so hard to make my dreams come true! I was so pleased at the end result, everything was just what I had envisioned! Bernadette was amazing at communication and so helpful at finding vendors, negotiating pricing and offering advise as to what she thinks will look good and what won’t. She also was so, so sweet to myself and my family which means so much to me! She never made me feel bad for sending a billion questions and was truly the definition of supportive. My husband and I knew from the first conversation that we had had with her what a wonderful person she is... knowing you have someone who not only is professional and hardworking but also so kind and sweet right there with you is truly priceless! I truly cannot say enough how supportive and wonderful she was every step of the way. My only regret is not having her sooner!!!! Maddy, another member of the Desert Whim team, was also present on the day of our wedding and was always checking in with myself, my groom, our parents and bridal party to make sure everything was going well and running smoothly. She was there throughout the night making sure any and all questions were answered and all of our needs were met. She even got down on the dance floor and taught us all how to wobble! ;) They were without a doubt, the BEST team to have in your corner on your wedding day! They are AMAZING!!!!!! Bernadette is an absolute dream to work with! Her eye for design is one of the best in the valley. Whether she is giving you comfort during a stressful time or providing you real life advice that the extra roses will be worth it, she is someone you feel completely able to trust and at ease with. Her heart is so sweet and she really does just want to make you feel like the most special human on the planet and it is your day to shine. There is such a great pleasure about when working with Bernadette you really feel as though your best friend is working with you to plan your wedding. Would HIGHLY recommend, and do on a daily basis.

Bernadette worked with me throughout the months of planning, checking in regularly, making sure I was on track and focused on the important things with timelines and budgets, finding vendors to fit our budget (or negotiating better rates than we probably could have), keeping us calm and sane throughout the planning process, and pulling together a team to make sure I wasn't thinking about anything but having a blast when the big day came. Our two most important priorities were: keep it real (with personal touches and reflecting our personalities) stay on budget (wanting to stay well below the "average" wedding cost). I don't know if we could have done both (maybe either) without help. My husband and I had a perfect and unique wedding weekend, and she took the time to not only put all the pieces in place but to get to know us to help cut through the expectations and the "noise" to make sure the important things for us took precedent in our wedding. I can't imagine it coming together nearly as well as it did without help. Between the money we saved because of her connections and creativity (thinking of ways to achieve what we want without breaking the bank, industry knowledge, vendor relationships) and the sanity of not doing it all alone, working with Bernadette was one of the best decisions (other than marrying each other, of course) to plan a meaningful and memorable day and a really fun party.
