Beautiful setting, great venue and very straight forward pricing and communication.
We had a wonderful wedding here!! We fell in love with this venue spot and all it offered on our tour. We had family visiting from our of state and overseas, so it was particularly important to have a place for guests to spend some of their trip in Austin. Having three nights allowed us time to set up, pack up, and relax as needed. We loved having the beautiful outdoor ceremony spot, nature and views, indoor and outdoor reception options, lodging, and a pool! It was also helpful that we didn't need to rent any furniture and could use any vendors. We had a wonderful time!
We will forever be over-the-moon ecstatic that we found the House on the Hill! It was the perfect venue for us. Both sides of family travelled in from out of state and this was the first time most of them were able to meet so the fact that we were all able to spend the long weekend together was incredibly special. It's such a unique amenity to have an extended stay, other venues we looked into only offered a 10-12 hour window so we'd need to hustle to pack up at the end of the night. We definitely recommend having the reservation for an extra day after the wedding so you can enjoy yourselves and decompress instead of hustling to pack up and whatnot.
Amanda and the staff at HOH are absolutely amazing. They were super helpful and kind throughout the entire process! The owner, Pandora is so kind and lovely. From the bottom of our hearts, we can't recommend HOH enough!
I drove all the way from Dallas for my 2pm appointment with Amanda but she cancelled without notice - no call or email. So we show up and there was no one there to greet us. Amanda did not even follow up. The janitorial staff told us that they have an issue with their admin staff. Do not waste your time or money on this establishment. The property was disgusting. Do not do business here. They do not care about you and you deserve better.
House on the Hill has everything I was looking for in a wedding venue at a reasonable price. I wanted some place that had nice indoor and outdoor spaces, and a place where I could get ready at the venue. House on the Hill is beautiful inside and out, and Amanda, the manager, is so wonderful to work with. She answered my million emails very quickly and kindly. There was even room for the wedding party to stay the night before and night of the wedding. I highly recommend this venue!
Absolutely incredible venue. All our guest have been raving about the place and how we were able to have it all to ourselves for a long weekend. Stunning everything, from the guest rooms to the dance floor to the beautiful back patio. :)
Absolutely stunning. The venue was perfect fir our big day. The staff was so kind and easy to work with. We felt very lucky to have said "I do" at House on the Hill.
The director was amazingly helpful with our plans, changes, and many questions. The venue was just right for multiple families, single people, etc. who wanted to all be in one place. It is beautiful. It is conveniently located. It has places for solitude and fun. We are very pleased with our choice, and our wedding celebration at "The House on the Hill" was blessed!
We could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding. Not only is the venue breathtaking, its openness and seclusion made us feel even safer during these crazy times. Thank you House on the Hill for providing the perfect wedding venue for our special day.
We had our wedding at the House on the Hill end of June this year after it got postponed from last year due to COVID. The manager actually allowed us to postpone to the following year which we really appreciated!
When we visited the House on the Hill, we fell in love with it immediately! It is so romantic and quiet and such a big space! The manager, Amanda, was always super helpful and responded to emails even on the weekends.
The day we arrived for our wedding, the place was very clean and organized. And we and our guests loved loved loved having our wedding at this special place! It was just perfect!
The only thing I would recommend if you want to sleep in a little longer (especially if you sleep in the master bedroom) is to bring a sleep mask. We didn't have any blinds, and so we were up every morning at 6 am. Lol
It was a great place for a wedding and would 100% recommend it. Especially for smaller weddings.
House on the Hill will always be such a special place for us. It is stunning visually, it has lodging for your guests, it has areas to enjoy both and indoor and outdoor celebration at the same time, and it has wonderful people to work with. The staff was amazing and made coordinating a breeze. We loved that we had the option to rent the place for the whole weekend, so our family pretty much got to have just a weekend wedding celebration. We used the venue for both the rehearsal dinner, and the reception dinner/dance, and breakfast the day after the wedding. I wish we had more excuses to rent out and celebrate at house on the hill!
The House on the Hill team was an absolute joy to work with.
From the very beginning they kindly answered every question and worked with our timeline and postponement from 2020 to a 2021 date. We were so grateful for constant communication and the smooth process to book the venue. The venue itself is so beautiful up in the hills, cozy, and gives that intimate reception feeling.
Not only were the grounds beautiful and perfect, but we loved the fact that they have on site lodging. It was a game changer considering all our family members were from out of town.
We’re so happy we chose House on the Hill for our reception. And absolutely recommend it to any future brides and grooms who are looking to have an indoor and outdoor celebration.
Everything about this venue was perfect. We got so many compliments from guests and our caterer even asked how she could book it for her vow renewal! Amanda and the rest of her staff were so helpful from beginning to end and really let you make the venue your own. It was amazing to have family stay on site and to not have to stress out tearing down the night of the wedding. I could not recommend anywhere else for a wedding, business retreat, vow renewal, literally any event. The possibilities are endless with the freedom this venue offers. A DIY brides paradise.
My wife and I were married on NYE 2020. House on the Hill was the PERFECT venue for our day. The venue has a beautiful rustic vibe and over all reminded us of a European/Spanish property. The staff of HOTH was so accommodating and very communicative with us. We were able to visit the site anytime before the wedding. The landscaping is so serene and just eye catching. It definitely added to our wedding. We really loved that you can rent out the property for overnight stays. Considering we were married on NYE, we were throwing a NYE get together as well. So having our guests stay on the property gave us all a safe and good piece of mind. No drinkers and drivers. We highly recommend renting out your events at House on the Hill. Thank you so much Amanda for being amazing! Cheers!
Amazing venue, beautiful grounds just outside Austin, TX. Still close to town and sleeps 20 people. The perfect venue for those having out of town guests that can stay right on site.
Pandora and Amanda were nothing short of amazing. They did everything in their power to make our wedding (after postponement during covid) happen safely. They even let us come to the venue during the week to plan out our table and ceremony chair set up beforehand, so we were fully prepared for the day of!
Would have my wedding at House on the Hill 100x over!
Let me start off by saying this venue is ABSOLUTELY breathtaking. It has 3 little cottages plus the main house and sleeps 20 guests which was perfect because all of our family was out of town! My husband and I got married in from of the beautiful water fall surrounded by luscious trees. It has a nice sized pavilion that we used as our dance floor, and the wrap around porch has a beautiful view. It’s also has a nice pool and cookout area! House on the Hill has a very home away from home vibe, it’s a hidden gem! I worked with Amanda most of the time and she is great! Very professional and all around a very sweet woman. She always answer quickly when I had questions and always accommodated me when I needed to visit the venue. I would recommend this venue to everyone, you won’t regret it!
This venue is a beautiful and unique hidden gem in west Austin. We loved the 3 different spaces for holding the ceremony or reception, especially in case it rained. We also loved both Amanda and Pandora, who worked with us in navigating our wedding during a global Pandemic!
We cannot speak highly enough of this place! No matter what your occasion, House on the Hill can accommodate you— AND your family and friends.
I raised an issue with this venue and they worked with us to make it work.
I highly recommend this venue! They were very professional and warm in all of our communications leading up to, during, and after our event. We had just under 100 people for a January wedding which allowed us to seat everyone inside when the weather didn't cooperate like we had hoped for. We ended up eating in the house and breaking down two tables to create a small dance floor in the middle of the biggest room. The small floor meant that it always looked full and enveloped more people in for a lot of fun. For that size event, there was plenty of parking and everything seemed to flow really smoothly!
House on the Hill was probably the single best decision I made for my wedding! The cost is so affordable, especially when you compare the other venues you may only get for 8 hours. We spent three nights on site with 20 guests which made everything so easy. We saved money on tables & chairs set-up, floral set-up, furniture rentals and coordinator decoration costs, so it all adds up!
My favorite part of the venue are the 3 different space options. You have a beautiful indoor space where we sat 75 for dinner. We had our ceremony under the waterfall and the nice 150 chairs split perfectly for our size wedding. Then they still have more back-up chairs that were so helpful for filling in the patio! The covered patio was perfect for our cake and dancing, plus the cocktail hour. It also made a perfect weather Plan B for either the dinner or ceremony.
House on the Hill also has an AWESOME team! They were so laid back, communicative and sweet. They were really helpful with layout questions and getting some heaters returned when we were long gone on the honeymoon.
I highly recommend the weekend package and Thursday add-on! I am very tempted to return for a family reunion/anniversary one day. Thank you HOH!
Majority of our guest were from out of state, so House on the Hill was the perfect venue for us since we could accommodate our families at an affordable price. We were able the maximize our time with them because every event was in one location. We had dinner rehearsal the night before the wedding, the ceremony and the reception at House on the Hill. Amanda Lynn and Pandora were quick to respond, very helpful in giving us ideas for our setup and patient with us. They were easy to work with and extremely professional.
My wedding guest could not stop talking about how comfortable the beds were and how much they enjoyed the tub in the main house. We will definitely book them for future events. We are so glad we chose House on the hill. Thank you so much!
beautiful venue! makes for amazing shots and the people you work with are fantastic. cannot wait to go back for our anniversary shots!
Everything about this venue was absolutely perfect for our wedding. It’s quaint but so beautiful and it has everything you could want or need for your wedding weekend without breaking the bank. All of our guests loved it!! Staff was helpful, kind, understanding and prompt to answer any questions we had. Wonderful experience with House on the Hill.
House on the Hill is wonderful!! Amazing place for a wedding!!!! It was a dream come true! Magical! It was so fun to have the rehearsal dinner Friday night with a pool party and then the luxury of having friends and family stay at cabins is SO awesome!! Amanda is so great. It was 96 degrees for our wedding (10/5/19) when normally it’s 86 degrees so she gave me suggestions on having dinner inside since we would melt if we ate outside. She was kind and helpful and I’m so grateful to have had her as our contact, she’s great!! We already want to go back!
We found this at the last minute just before booking another venue.WOW we could not have been more excited. The ability to house our families at the venue for several days was amazing. We were able to relax and enjoy time with everyone and decorate slowly over a cpl days. We had so much fun, the pool for the grandkids was the best part:) This venue is beautiful and I would say go take a look it just might be perfect for you as well!! We had an outdoor ceremony, indoor dinner and then dancing outside under the pavilion.

Best Venue Out there!
Stunning view, Responsive manager, sleeping for 20+, oh and you can have it for the ENTIRE WEEKEND! There was not a thing we did not LOVE about this venue! It was a perfect fit for us and what we had planned! Getting it Friday allowed us to casually set up everything with friends and family then and have Saturday be casual and relaxed with just more friends and family as well as some other vendors showing up. Then leaving on Monday made a slow starting Sunday still able to get things casually cleaned up and put away. Lynn was always extremely prompt with her email replies and with me planning this from overseas this was highly important. They were extremely flexible in all vendor services which made it possible for us to have a very customized wedding. I recommend them to anyone who wants a stress free, customizable wedding!
We got married here last weekend and I truly can't imagine a better space for our wedding. The layout was absolutely wonderful....we got so many compliments on it! Both of our families are from out of town so it was awesome to have the on-site lodging. We also booked it for an extra day just so we could hang around and swim! There is so much freedom and room for creativity to make the space your own. I had to swing by to pick up something I left at the venue and was pretty sad that the wedding was over and that we weren't hanging out at the venue anymore. It was such a blast. =)
Some things I wish I knew beforehand:
The separate areas at the venue (lawn, dining room, pavilion, etc.) caused no issue whatsoever. I was a bit nervous about moving people around the venue and it ended up being a complete non-issue.
The sunroom doesn't heat up as much as I thought it would from having the buffet line on the back porch. Something I also freaked out about for months that ended up being a non-issue.
The lawn by the fountain is pretty shady in the evening. We visited at around 5PM in October and the wedding was 6PM in July and the lawn had a good amount of shade, so people didn't melt.
I highly recommend this to anybody who wants a laid-back, super fun wedding. The space is perfect!
My husband and I truly couldn't be happier with House on the Hill! From beginning to end, our experience was amazing. Lynn was an absolute pleasure to work with, answering our questions over e-mail and at the numerous open-houses we attended to review the venue.
House on the Hill provides a lot of flexibility to create whatever kind of wedding you want. And, with the weekend availability, we were able to maximize our time with out-of-town guests. Our 135 person wedding still felt incredibly intimate and the layout of HotH played a large role in that.
The vendors seemed to have all the space they needed - a big kitchen for our caterer and plenty of space for an 8-person band with all their sound and light equipment. There were a ton of great places for pictures too, with lots of different lighting to help you capture whatever mood you're going for.
I could go on and on about how much I loved this venue, but you just need to go see it for yourself to fall in love with the waterfall, the hill-country view from the patio, and the rustic vibes!
We were able to fill all the bedrooms on the property and it made our wedding feel like a destination wedding, even thought we were only about 20 minutes from home. They even allowed us to bring our dog, so he was able to be a part of the wedding!
Finally, House on the Hill may not advertise as LGBTQ+ friendly, but I will say that Lynn and the staff never made our wedding feel any different. They were just as welcoming as they would be to any other wedding and that didn't go unnoticed.
When my now husband and I started thinking about how we envisioned our wedding we knew exactly what we wanted. We are the laid back, have a party type couple. Our wedding could very well be the only time our families would ever meet and have an opportunity to hang out. House on the Hill had everything we could have possibly dreamt of. The biggest selling point for us was the over night lodging. We wanted our close friends and family to be able to be comfortable and stay up all night celebrating with us, and we did just that! The venue feels so private and retreated but at the same time is in a great location. The greenery and trees made it easy for us to not need much decor. The scenery itself was breath taking. They have a wonderful pool, covered outdoor patio aka dance floor, indoor reception room, and numerous fully equipped cabins. The hosts are so accommodating and laid back. They had multiple open houses that we were able to attend to work out all the details and rehearse. We were able to bring our own food/alcohol, without caterer restrictions. We felt right at home and all of our guests were very impressed, not to mention the price is very affordable in comparison to other places we checked out. We couldn't be any happier about our choice to have our wedding at HOH and will recommend it to every couple!
Things to keep in mind:
-It is literally a House on the Hill, so be mindful of the steep hill. Lol.
-You must set everything up and take everything down, including tables, chairs, décor. This is a very DIY type of venue.
Could not have picked a better venue. Honestly. First off, the scenery and view. The house is to die for. The grass and flowers were green, the view over austin was to die for, and the amount of space was perfect. This venue is unique and different, very spacious and gives lots of options. Now Lynn is the best, really. Every time I called or emailed I had a super fast response. She gave me insight on my concerns and questions, she was very positive and REAL. She spoke with us like real people and not just dollar signs, very honest and open. They accommodated an emergency I had with my cake delivery, I got the run down of the whole house the day of my wedding, I have nothing but good words for this venue. The best thing was the over night lodging. We were able to accommodate our guest who had traveled and not have to worry about people drinking and driving which is a huge relief. The lodging is an excellent addition to this venue. The house was cold and clean when we arrived. Everything was explained to us, I was so happy to find this venue. We had options if it rained although it didn’t! Take a look at this venue y’all, as a born and raised AUSTINITE, I got my band for my buck here for sure!!!
It was great. Everything was ready to go when we got there. Staff greeted us as we got there, showed us the last few ins and outs, and then stepped aside for my family, friends, and myself to prepare venue to welcome my lovely bride and her family.
We recommend getting the overnight package as our family and guest were thrilled that they didn't have to get hotels or travel away from venue to truly enjoy the wedding celebration with my wife and I. For any other guests, Lynn (HOH Coordinator) knows of several awesome AirBnBs within minutes of House on the Hill. In fact night before wedding my wife and her family stayed at one Lynn suggested and it was literally within walking distance of House on the Hill. Our sunset wedding and evening reception was the best at House on the Hill as sun perfectly just peeks through the trees and isn't overbearing, and the evening courtyard and patio lighting work wonders to set the perfect mood. My Best Man was also photographer at the wedding and he was so worried about the sunset wedding with amount of daylight, yet he was twilled at pictures with sunset and patio lighting turned on. It all created just a awesome memorable atmosphere. I would do it all again tomorrow, yet my wife and I already have other plans.
House on the Hill is absolutely amazing! I wish I could go back and re live the day all over again. The property is beautiful and very well kept. Lynn is amazing and super helpful. I absolutely cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue, it made our special day absolutely perfect.
This is a gorgeous venue with plenty of room to sprawl out. My guests had nothing but awesome things to say about the place. If I could do it all over again, I'd book this place time and time again. There was no better luxury for my DIY wedding than being able to have the TIME to make it all happen! Love this place ♥
Excellent venue! Great for outdoor wedding, small and intimate! Take advantage and stay with your wedding party at least overnight! Great price and you can take your own vendor or be a DIY wedding for a cheaper price!
The venue was beautiful and the staff was super flexible and accommodating. There was emergency contacts so someone was available to help with any issues, although we did not need to us it. They provide tables and chairs which was awesome. We had 16 people stay over the weekend who all had a wonderful time. The extra time to set up and break down over the weekend made it super stress free. I'd highly recommend this venue. It was amazing.
Lynn and Pandora are amazing they were always quick to respond and very informative! The venue is beautiful and well kept all of our guests loved it as did we. Tons of space and lodging for my out of town guests was a huge plus. Highly recommend this venue.
House on the Hill was absolutely perfect in every way. We planned our wedding from 2000 miles away, and booked HOH sight unseen, but for the online pictures. By the way, the pictures do no justice to the true magic of this space.
Every nook and cranny was comfortable, and delightful. There are infinite porches. Each bedroom was more inviting than the last. Our 120 guests had a fantastic time - we married in the yard in front of the fountain (really beautiful), ate dinner and were toasted/roasted in the inside hall, and danced the night away on the large pavilion.
Our children and dogs ran around joyously. Elders found good places to sit and nap. Disabled friends nagivated the space easily. The young and bloodthirsty even had an after party by the pool! The next morning, the 25 people who slept over, including the newlyweds, cleaned up communally and enjoyed left over cake and coffee (provided by HOH).
Lynn and Pandora were excessively kind and helpful throughout every part of the process. This is an amazing venue. If you want a warm celebration full of life in a beautiful locale - House on the Hill is it!
Beautiful venue, professional, friendly staff. We had our wedding on a Wednesday- something to consider if you’re trying to stick to your budget :). I don’t have one negative thing to say about House on the Hill- it was perfect!
We hosted our wedding September 13th. We had a tight budget but wanted to have amazing venue without breaking the bank. Lynn made it so easy to book and the day off. We love House on The Hill and will recommend them to anyone
We could not have asked for a more magical venue for our wedding. The place by its self is simply wonderful. The venue is easy to work with since you get to bring all your own vendors. Staying the night at the venue made it extra special with a late night pool party. The grounds of house on the hill create a wonderful backdrop for your special day! We even got a sun shower and double rainbow ( you cant pay extra for that !) So close to Austin with the feeling of being far,far away.
We had a wonderful experience with House on the Hill. The venue is beautiful, the staff is friendly, everyone thought the accommodations were comfortable, the prices are reasonable and you get to bring in whatever you want to make your day personalized. It was wonderful for us to have the ability to craft a bi-cultural bi-lingual wedding that uniquely ours by blending vendors and printing bilingual signage, etc. After our wedding I realized I had somehow lost my necklace and was quite upset as it is a priceless family heirloom, the staff at House on the Hill went above and beyond to help me find it. I can't recommend House on the Hill highly enough after our experience with them!
We held a 70 person wedding at House on the Hill at the end of July and the venue was absolutely perfect for us. We were able to host a rehearsal/Friday night reception on the spacious deck by the pool and the trees provided exceptional shade for our outdoor ceremony on Saturday by the waterfall. The indoor portion of the venue comfortably fit all guests for dinner and we were even able to host a brunch the next day before leaving! I was worried the heat was going to be too much for our guests but the AC inside the building is strong and the wind in the Hill Country/tree cover at the venue left it feeling comfortable all night long.
Lynn and her team were fantastic about correspondence leading up to the event and the venue itself was in really great condition - the outdoor areas were well taken care of and the guest rooms/bathrooms were clean and guest-ready.
Last but certainly not least, we need to talk about the pool. This has to be the most under-rated part of this venue! Outside of getting married, the highlight of our night was definitely jumping into the pool at the end of our reception and being able to host a super fun pool party after-party for all our friends and keep the party going even after all the vendors had packed up and left for the night. It was also a great place for guests/kids to hang out during the day as we were prepping for the wedding.
Long story short - if you're looking to host an intimate/"backyard" wedding this is a fantastic venue to consider. I know we hope to be able to come back one day!!
Our daughters wedding was simply beautiful. The venue grounds and views were spectacular. Her guests were extremely comfortable and raved on her perfect choice. The house is equipped with everything you may need. Our two night stay was great for setting up and visiting with family and friends. I’ve already recommended House on the Hill to friends.
I recently had my wedding here (ceremony and reception) and I absolutely loved House on the Hill. It is affordable and they are so easy to work with. You can bring in your own food, beverages, and music. The venue is beautiful. All of my family and friends raved about the view and location. This is definitely the venue that will give you the most for your money! Lynn was also very nice and helpful. She is professional and available to answer all questions. I enjoyed working with her and am so glad I found this place!
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at House on the Hill, and it was absolutely amazing. Lynn was very helpful and answered all of our questions promptly. The venue is so pretty and has a secluded feel to it that made our wedding feel more private and intimate. I loved that it has rooms for guests to stay in (which saved us a lot of stress when my family's air bnb reservation fell through two weeks before the wedding). Thankfully we were able to have our wedding ceremony outside as planned, but there was space indoors as well in case the weather wasn't cooperative. Really awesome venue and would definitely recommend.
House on the Hill is impressive. We recently had our wedding here, and it was the perfect venue for an extended weekend Thursday to Sunday with family and friends. The price and flexibility along with the view cannot be beaten. And leading up to the event, communication was timely and straightforward. We had our rehearsal dinner, a welcome pool party, plus the entire wedding event on site. Not to mention, even though the heat hit record temperatures, we easily re-arranged our plans a few days in advance to have dinner moved from outside to inside. My only complaint is that they do not provide recycling on site. After a banging reception, this can be quite an unfortunate sight to see. Luckily, we had a friend who helped us take the recycling to facilities in Austin proper. Other than that though, we had a blast and highly recommend the space!
This place is simply one of our favorite places in the world and was the perfect place to hold our wedding! It has everything we were looking for, at a great price! Every single one of our guests told us how beautiful this place was and we couldn’t agree more! Thank you so much for taking care of this one of a kind location, it holds a very special place in our hearts!
This really was our best decision during wedding planning. House on the Hill is a great space, offers flexibility of bringing in your own vendors, and stay overnight with plenty of room for out of town guests. Takes away the stress of the all the "take down" after a wedding in a traditional venue. The greenery is beautiful. It really is stunning!
We can't even begin to tell you how perfect this venue was! Not only was there plenty of room but the staff was so amazing and very helpful. Whether you're looking for an indoor or outdoor wedding this venue is perfect choice!
This venue is amazing, quite, tucked out of the way. There were so many options for inside or outside. My guest got to drink their hearts out and not have to worry about going home. Its affordable too which I liked
This venue was perfect! We booked our date two years in advance, and we loved more and more as time went on! The staff was super helpful and made sure we were comfortable with where everything in the house was, we were allowed multiple tours and all of my questions and concerns were answered in a timely manner!
We loved having our intimate wedding at House on the Hill. Lynn and Pandora were so easy to work with, and it was great having family sleeping in one place for the weekend. The venue is still very green and floral in October, and the spaces are very versatile depending on your guest count. Highly recommmend.
My husband and I got married at this venue in late Oct of 2017! Absolutely loved it, had rooms we could stay in and the whole place to ourselves to set everything up and prepare for our wedding. Mainly added flowers and tulle here and there as the location has it own charm! Loved the views from the back porch and upstairs room as well! Awesome deal in such a beautiful part of Austin!
I found House on the Hill online and it was the only venue we looked at in person because I knew it would be perfect for us. My entire bridal party was from out of town and they were all able to stay there with us. We brought in our own caterer and alcohol which saved us a ton of money. The outside is gorgeous so we didn't have to decorate anything but the tables. And it ended up being really cold that day so we had to move the dancing inside and the main room of the house was perfect for the dance floor. The guests that didn't feel like dancing were able to sit in the sunroom and chat. Lynn was super easy to work with and was always available when we wanted to come take a look at the grounds for planning purposes. The only complaint I had or my guests had was about the beds in the rooms. The mattresses are quite old and uncomfortable. We didn't sleep very well there. But that part didn't matter as much in comparison to the rest of the beautiful space!
I wish I could give House on the Hill 20 stars. Our wedding was absolutely spectacular. We had a bunch of out of town guests, and having the opportunity to spend the whole weekend with them in such a beautiful spot was awesome.
The beds were comfy, the grounds were meticulously landscaped, and the decor was just spectacular. When I said I do to my wife in front of the beautiful fountain and my loved ones, I felt like I was in a movie.
Lynn took care of absolutely everything and really made us feel at home. All of our vendors were really impressed with the space. I really can't believe the value we got by choosing this place. It's a slice of paradise you'd never expect to find so close to all of the best things Austin has to offer.
Do yourself a favor and pick this place. You won't regret it.
Great venue! Good price! Beautiful views and so many options for a wedding set up. The staff was friendly and answered all of our questions and made sure we are comfortable!
Everything was perfect, excellent venue location, convenient - had plenty of chairs, tables already provided. Family and friends admired the location (especially the background view). Thanks everyone!
As the mother of the groom and the primary contact I could not have asked for a better experience from a venue then what we had! The grounds are extremely beautiful and well maintained. The staff is beyond helpful, courteous, and friendly! The rooms were set up perfectly for our overnight guests. We had the freedom to set up everything as we wanted it to be. I was able to visit multiple times to plan the event for my son which made everything run as smooth as possible for a large wedding and reception. I highly recommend the overnight package because being able to relax and enjoy the family and friends that stay was an amazing experience I was so happy to have!
It was the best place to have our wedding and recption. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Beautiful venue! Our wedding was perfect here, I could not have imagined it any place better! Lynn was very helpful in any questions we had. We had a great experience, would definitely recommend.
On June 12,2017 we held the wedding of our dreams at this sweet and beautiful venue in Austin TX. We had a small wedding but there was plenty of room for the extras that showed up! There was so many different options to achieve the wedding we wanted and the price was better than anywhere else we looked! So not only did we get a great deal we got a beautiful venue that didn't break our budget! We couldn't be happier with this venue. There wasn't a single thing we didn't like about it. I'd recommend it to anyone (which I already have) who is looking for a venu of this setting!
Absolutely perfect wedding venue, it feels like you're at your own private hill country resort! The view from the back patio is absolutely amazing, the ceremony backdrop with it's trickling waterfall is beautiful, and my photographer and I were absolutely smitten with the orange accents on the buildings (which look amazing in photographs). My now husband, and I, booked House on the Hill for an extended weekend in April of 2017 and we can't imagine having gotten married anywhere else! We were able to have our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all in one place, and spend the whole day after the wedding relaxing poolside enjoying our out of town family & friends! It made the weekend so much more relaxing and fun, having it all in one place, and having all our loved ones close by. The property is absolutely stunning, and private. We were able to stay up well into the early morning hours dancing and playing guitars because of the privacy the venue affords you, and the fact that there aren't quiet hours! After reading some of the other reviews where people mentioned they had problems with caterers not having enough space/outlets, we had zero problems with ours. We hired Tacos and Tequila (TNT), and they were able to set up the entire buffet in the kitchen/side dining area, leaving us the rest of the indoor spaces & outdoor wrap around porch for guest seating. We had about 120 guests, and it didn't feel cramped, but if you had 150 it might feel a little tight. We did have a little trouble with shuttling guests up the steep hilly driveway, so if you can avoid shuttles that would be best. Our shuttle company was able to get their smaller 22 passenger shuttle up and down the hill, but the driver wasn't very happy about it, and we really had to plead with them to try it. We also had a food truck come out for a late night snack with the same hesitancy to drive up, but ultimately they managed it. Pandora and Lynn were amazing to work with! They answered every single question I asked them, and I e-mailed them a lot of questions! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone thinking about it!
The House on the Hill was a gorgeous place for our wedding and we received so many compliments about the venue! Lynn and Pandora were great to work with and responded very quickly. This place was great for our wedding party to stay all weekend. Besides the weather being a little cold for April, our wedding was perfect at House on the Hill!
This place was just magical. The weather and grounds were stunning day of our event. Simple and easy to work with, Lynn was quick to respond and always so helpful. Only downside was having to leave after the rental was over. I will be finding another excuse to drag our family and friends here.
We were happy to celebrate our wedding at House on the Hill. Since Easter was the day after, we got the venue for a long weekend for a very affordable rate. I love that it sleeps so many people since there was a lot of family in from out of town. The kids swam in the pool a lot, so that kept them busy, and the Easter bunny even hid eggs out in the yard!
The owner and manager are very kind and laid back. Very easy to work with. The rooms were clean and many had beautiful views! Some wedding guests complained about the parking, but overall our experience was amazing!
We had a wonderful time at House on the Hill! The venue is beautiful, the housing options were great for our guests, and the staff were extremely helpful and supportive in the run up to the event. I loved that we could use our own vendors and that we had the cabins for our close guests to stay in. If you are looking for a beautiful, intimate outdoor wedding, then House on the Hill can't be beat!
Our stay at House on the Hill was absolutely what we wanted. Weather was not on our side however there were still so many options to make it beautiful! I highly recommend this as an option if you have family coming in from out of town or just want to give your guests a beautiful place to stay. Best of austin for sure.
My husband and I got married here on October 1 and had a great experience. We especially liked the ability to house our sets of parents and wedding party. We even booked an extra night for a very reasonable cost and were grateful to have a long weekend with our closest friends and family.
The venue was beautiful, and we also had the flexibility to choose our own vendors which was an awesome luxury.
Would highly recommend for any couple wanting to get married in a beautiful setting with amazing views where you'll have plenty of time with family and friends and the flexibility to construct your perfect weekend and keep the party going for as long as you'd like, all for an extremely generous rate.
We recently had our wedding ceremony, reception, and post-wedding brunch at House on the Hill. All of our guests had glowing remarks on the beauty and serenity of the venue. We loved the intimate setting, amazing hill country vistas, beautiful house/cottages, and the rustic feel of the grounds. It is decorated so well that we barely even needed to set up anything. We wanted to make our event very personal, and enjoyed the freedom to choose our own vendors, bring our own food/drinks, and make our wedding special and unique to us. Lynn, the coordinator, was very patient and helped us with all of our questions.
This is the perfect place to celebrate with your closest family and friends. We can't recommend this venue enough!
This is the best Venue we found in Austin, TX for what my wife and I wanted and the pricing. The House on the Hill is a beautiful home converted into a venue with Cottages. The views are awesome, I also love the fact that not only can you have the ceremony there but you can have the reception there as well. Of course with the reception comes lots of fun and no need to worry if you have a overnight stay scheduled you'll be well taken care of. I would recommend this place to anyone.
This venue is perfect!! You can have your rehearsal dinner, wedding, and brunch after your wedding... My family was able to spend 2 nights here and enjoy the pool and nice views.. You can make the venue look super romantic on your wedding day, this venue lets you pick any cater, you can bring your own alcohol , hired whoever you like for all of your wedding needs :) we were able to stay up all night partying without having to worry about getting kicked out or cleaning up, and the price is great!!!!! Highly recommended, the stuff are awesome and always respond to your calls and emails super fast.
House on the Hill is such a gorgeous venue; with personality! All our friends and family members kept saying how much they liked the venue and that it's beautiful. I love the fact that you are able to rent the venue for the weekend so you have time to clean up and relax! The privacy is also the plus side to renting this venue. It's big enough to accommodate your family. There are no restrictions on vendors, bartenders, officer present, etc. The only suggestion I would give is have more comfortable beds. Other than that the venue was perfect! I would suggest it to any bride and groom to rent.
Beautiful venue! On our wedding day it rained just a bit. We thought it would be horrible, but House on the Hill has a place for every situation. If you're looking for simply a venue look elsewhere, but if you're looking for a temporary home stay at house on the hill.
The House on the Hill is an absolutely beautiful outside/inside wedding and reception venue! Beautiful waterfall to get married in front of and take pictures. The luscious green landscaping and lighting also make this venue picture perfect during the day as well as at night! The interior decorating of the various rooms available are all tastefully done too. The views of the sunrise and the sunset are also picture perfect over the Austin hills. A fair amount of chairs and tables are available, even for my 100+ guests. Also, the freedom in which to move furniture and the available chairs allowed for my creativity to shine at our wedding. We had a great time and I am sure that our guests did too!
House on the hill was the perfect venue. It allowed for affordable lodging for 20 of our out of town guests for a few days. It was such a beautiful venue that much decor was not needed. Lynn and Pandora were very accommodating and helpful with all of our questions. We HIGHLY recommend this venue
This venue is the best in Austin! It is so affordable for everything you get! And there is no fine print, they are very upfront and helpful! Our families all came together to make food and all stayed together on site which made for some great bonding time and amazing memories! The weather was rainy on our special day, but because of all the options on the property, everything went off without a hitch! It was absolutely beautiful and we will definitely be back for future anniversaries and family functions because everyone had such a great time! The pics were beautiful and it made for the best night of our lives! They have plenty of room and you can do everything diy which saves lots of money! Seriously the best!
Our wedding was amazing. I wish I could relive the day over and over. There is so much space at this venue that it never feels crowded. We really didn't even need much decorating because the venue is so beautiful on it's own. Our wedding had only about 100 guests, but it can hold up to 150. We had both the ceremony and reception here, we also chose to add the cottages to our contract. Our guests were able to have fun all day and night, and a place to stay if they had had a little too much fun. Lynn and Pandora were both so helpful with everything. I would highly recommend House On The Hill for any occasion.
We could not have asked for a more beautiful venue to have my son and daughter in law's wedding. The house is nestled up in the trees of Westlake. It has amazing views, accommodations for out of town guests or the wedding party. It has all the table & chairs you need. This venue is perfect for a small wedding and the staff is a joy to work with. It's only minor downfall is their parking...it is very limited.
We loved our stay! The venue was exactly what we were looking for. Not only did we have complete freedom and privacy, but there was plenty of room for our families and friends to stay as well over the weekend.
I loved this venue in the beginning for two reasons: 1) Guests could stay over night and 2) It offered a backyard style wedding without hosting it at a family member's house. We used the venue from Sunday afternoon to Monday at noon. I only wish we could have afforded the weekend package to allow time to decorate in advance and take more pictures. The Sunday afternoon check-in meant a later wedding start, but it was wonderful with all the lights around the estate. An evening wedding allowed us to use more light than flowers and in the fall it was cool enough for people to be outside and for doors to be open. Lynn and her team did a great job working with both myself and my wedding planner. Only other draw back is the parking if you have more than 40-50 guests, so ask friends to help shuttle guests or hire somebody with a golf cart for the hill. Loved this venue so much we've talked about hosting a weekend for family and friends in the future to really enjoy the pool, grill, and amazing scenery.
I recently had a wedding at House on the Hill and it was beyond amazing. We had the property for the whole weekend. This allowed us not to only have our wedding there but also our reception, rehearsal dinner and house our wedding party. It was a private resort with your closest friends and family. Lynn and her staff were easy to work with and answered all of our questions along the way. I was highly recommend House on the Hill from a friend that previously got married there and I would highly recommend to anybody else looking for an amazing venue with amazing staff.
We loved house on the hill!! My fiancé and I imagined a picturesque outdoor hill country wedding, and house on the hill far exceeded our expectations. We loved being able to provide overnight accommodations to our friends and family who came from out of town. The waterfall at the alter provided the perfect serene atmosphere for the ceremony and looks stunning when lit up at night. We were able to fit a 10 piece band under the outside pavilion and the intimate dance floor had the party going late into the night. The venue has several balconies with fantastic hill country views along with patios and decks that provided great spaces for different groups to hang out. They recently got new chairs that looked great and saved us the money and hassle of renting our own. All of our guests commented on how beautiful everything was and we highly recommend House on The Hill for your wedding.
My finance and I spent many hours finding our wedding venue, and the House of the Hill was the best decision we could have made. This wedding venue is really just stunning, with the right mix of beautiful views, landscaping, and ambiance. It is amazing how many good things this venue provides, first it allows you to have 20 guests to sleep in comfortable rooms. It was really great to have a good portion of the wedding party at the venue, and the setup was a lot easier with more time allocated. My wife and I rented this venue from Thursday at 3:00 PM till Sunday at 12:00 PM, which really helped us get venue ready for our guests. We loved the fact that this venue has an outdoor area for a ceremony, and even an indoor option if weather doesn’t cooperate. The indoor area is where we had our wedding rehearsal dinner, and it was plenty of room for our 50+ guests. For our wedding we got married right in front of the fountain and it was stunning. The wedding venue just updated their chairs, which really made the table settings pop at both the reception and the rehearsal dinner.
One of the best things that this venue provided, was amazing lighting and views, with a wraparound patio showing the best Austin has to offer. Our photographer was overwhelmed by the amount of great lighting, picture opportunities, and even feared that his next wedding shoot was going to be disappointment because of how amazing the House on the Hill was. I have no hesitation in saying that I would recommend this to my venue to my friends, family, and complete strangers. I also know that our wedding party, family, and friends were amazed at how beautiful the House on the Hill was during our event.
Me and my wife happen to stumble on this place with pure luck when trying to choose a venue for our wedding. We wanted a venue that would allow for an inside/outside event; but also allow us to do our own thing in regards to vendors and set up.
Lynn is an amazing event manager! Anything and everything we needed she was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the whole process from start to finish.
Everything from the view, to the grounds, and even the rustic type of feel the cabins have were just simply beautiful. You can do so many things and create so many different set ups there with how much space you have to host your friends and family.
In a nutshell, I do not think there is a better venue in Austin that allows so much freedom, while still be very affordable and having such a beautiful property. This venue is a must for anyone looking into an indoor/outdoor wedding!
House on the Hill is a beautiful venue. The outside area in front of the waterfall was a lovely backdrop for the wedding party. The main house has a great place for the reception with lots of additional porches providing wonderful views. The outdoor pavilion was great for dancing and the additional cottages were cozy and comfortable for the wedding party to stay overnight.
Pandora and Lynn were very helpful to work with as well.
We would highly recommend House on the Hill for a beautiful wedding.
Enjoy!
I really liked the place. We reserved it overnight and it was great. I wish we had taken the weekend package to enjoy the place more during the day. The check out is early enough that you don't get to enjoy that day as much, so if you are reserving overnight definitely go for the next day as well.
The managers are really friendly and helpful and you can reach them with any questions. If you aren't in town they will definitely try to accommodate you to the best of their ability.
