Lauren Burnham’s Engagement Ring From Arie Luyendyk Jr. Was Also Designed By Neil Lane

When Arie Luyendyk Jr., yet again, decided to propose on national television, the season 22 Bachelor turned to an all-familiar name to help design the ring: Neil Lane.

The jeweler to the stars, who’s crafted each and every ring for franchise participants since The Bachelor’s inaugural season, presented Luyendyk with his options for each finalist during filming last fall.

"This season of The Bachelor took me on an exciting journey to Peru where the people, culture, and food were all outstanding," Lane tells The Knot in an exclusive interview. "It was also in Peru that the intrigue surrounding the proposal and ring reached a peak. There were as many twists and turns as the majestic Machu Picchu, but it all worked out in the end. I’m happy to have been a part of a unique journey to love and I wish Arie and Lauren all the happiness in the world."

Ultimately, the race car driver went with a three-carat, oval-shape diamond ring for Becca Kufrin, the initial recipient of his final rose. "He really liked this one ring he felt would be perfect for Becca, but he kept coming back to this other ring, which was completely different, and saying how it would be perfect for this other girl," Lane expressed to People. “He was very indecisive and there was a hesitation—and he took the process very, very seriously."

That other ring was presented to Lauren Burnham on the After the Final Rose special on Tuesday, March 6. "Lauren’s ring was one of the most intricate I have ever made for the Bachelor," Lane adds to The Knot. "And as such, [it] required a great deal of time and attention. The romantic, baguette-cut diamond combined with an elegant cushion is the perfect mix of vintage glamour and contemporary style, much like Lauren herself."

Burnham’s ring, like other Lane pieces, is signed by the famed jeweler. The design is custom, and features a cushion-cut center stone surrounded by a diamond halo. The platinum band is set on all three sides with 170 smaller round-cut diamonds, along with two baguette stones accenting each side of the main center stone.

The total weight of the ring itself is 3.65 carats.

“I truly believe you are my soulmate," Luyendyk proclaimed to Burnham on Tuesday. "I’m ready to face this life with you, and all that comes with it… The good, and the bad. I love you so much. I wanted to do this in front everyone because I want to show you that I should have done this a long time ago."

The couple revealed to Jimmy Kimmel that they are, in fact, currently in the process of wedding planning. “I’ve never been more in love with him,” the future bride gushed to Chris Harrison on Tuesday. “We’re very, very happy.”
