Summer House's Hannah Berner Is Engaged

Summer House star Hannah Berner is engaged. The reality star revealed on Wednesday, March 3, that she and boyfriend Des Bishop are planning a wedding. "Thanks for the engagement shoot mom!" Berner, 29, wrote on Instagram. "Love you @desbishop."

The couple shared their proposal story with People, revealing it was an intimate, at-home moment. "I'm in bed with my Invisalign on, and my breath is terrible," she told the mag. "And he's just kneeling on the side, and then he just pulls out the ring. I think I just made weird crying noises."

The proposal took place on Valentine's Day with Bishop, 45, waking his girlfriend up to a pre-recorded video. The gesture was sentimental. "When we first started dating, Des would send me this really funny video, singing videos, that would make me laugh," she added. "On Valentine's Day, I woke up and I had a video of him singing, which I hadn't gotten since the summer. And then it ends with him being like, 'I have a surprise for you.' "

The ring is comprised of a round brilliant diamond set on a thin yellow gold band. "It's just perfect because I can wear it with my sweats. I can wear it more dressed up," Berner added. "And I feel like it's, as my friends would say, very me."

They'll quickly get started on wedding planning, perhaps even exchanging vows without an extended engagement. "We want to get married sooner than later," the future bride noted. "He's my best friend. Why wait?"
