For Cheryl Hines, the strangest point about marrying a Kennedy is landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City. The actress-turned-wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stopped by Live With Kelly and Ryan on Monday, February 19, where she shared a few thoughts about marrying into the legendary American political family dynasty.

“The history in the Kennedy family…” Ripa noted to her guest, "you must have quite a rich history there in his life.”

“It is amazing,” the Curb Your Enthusiasm actress reflected. “And strange, sometimes, when you’re setting up a household whose uncle is president. He has all these amazing pictures and letters from presidents, and they’re going up over the wall.”

Hines then joked about her own family history. “And my uncle sold T-shirts, which is also important,” she cracked. "What would we all be wearing?"

Hines said Monday that the biggest "pinch me" moments arrive when they're traveling to and from JFK airport, one of the busiest flight hubs in the world. "Honestly, there are times that surprise me when I'm sleeping, and they'll be like, 'Welcome to Kennedy,'" she shared. "[And] it is kind of surreal when we check in and Bobby, a Kennedy, is [asked], 'Where are you going?'"

The couple married at the Kennedy family compound in Massachusetts in 2014. Hines wore a custom gown by Romona Keveza, which included elements of inspiration from Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

"I feel it’s almost as though Jackie was there at her wedding, giving her blessings to Cheryl who was wearing a dress inspired by her,” Keveza shared with People. “And to Robert Kennedy, Jr. It’s quite magical in many ways.”
