If you're reading this, chances are you are newly engaged and are beginning your search for your dream wedding dress. You've come to the right place! While many brides crave the traditional bridal salon experience, others prefer the comfort and flexibility of at-home try-on programs. These programs allow brides to order a few sample dresses to their houses where they can have their own DIY bridal appointment with family and friends at home. After you've decided on a dress, typically the salon will either ask you to send the dresses back and order a brand-new gown, or sometimes they will even let you purchase the sample gown at a discounted rate. This can be a great option for brides who feel more comfortable at home or have friends and family who live far away who they would like to FaceTime in a quiet space while trying on dresses. Even though you'll be at home, we suggest inviting your nearest and dearest over, popping some bubbly and having fun! After all, wedding dress shopping is a special milestone you deserve to celebrate.

Can You Try on Wedding Dresses at Home?

The short answer: yes! Many brides prefer the comfort of home when trying on wedding dresses so that they can feel relaxed and have some time to think over the decision. While some brides love the hustle and bustle of a bridal salon, we know that environment isn't for everyone, and try-on at home may be a better fit. At-home try-on is also a great option if the bride has friends or family who live out of state and would find it easier to FaceTime them into the appointment in a quiet space at home. Whatever your situation, at-home try-on is a great option to bring the bridal salon experience to you.

Brands With at-Home Wedding Dress Try-on Programs

If at-home try-on is your wedding dress shopping preference, it's important to do your research on the options that are out there. Not every bridal salon offers an at-home try-on program, so it's important to know where to look.

Brides in the US, Canada and select European countries can order up to three dresses to try on in the comfort of their home. When you decide on your favorite, you will send the team your measurements and your custom dress will be sent to you at home. Brides in the US pay $65 per dress and will then receive credit towards the dress they choose. The Dreamers & Lovers team is even available for a virtual appointment before, during or after your dress try-on to answer any questions you may have.
