Thanks so much to the MO team for a beautiful wedding day on Labor Day weekend. Especially, much appreciation to Lauren and team for all the help and meticulous planning over a 6 m...
onth period. The space is great, food is delicious, people at MO took care of every little detail. Highly recommended. Again, thank you for making our big day extra special.

We were in the best hands with Carol Vilardi. She's passionate about her work, creative, approachable, and considerate. It was a pleasure collaborating with her, and we look forward to working with her again soon! We highly recommend hosting your wedding or event at Mandarin Boston, and be sure to ask for Carol! - Elegant Aura
From the moment we met Emily Conroy at the Mandarin we didn't think twice about booking this venue. We knew we were in such good hands with her and the entire team at the Mandarin ...
- throughout the entire planning process Emily was always incredibly responsive and helpful and on the day of she ensured everything ran absolutely perfectly. The food, the service, the ambiance - it all was a step above and I could not have been happier with our experience.
The Mandarin hosted our cocktail hour and wedding reception in September of 2017.
In our opinion, the Mandarin’s space is the best in Boston. We toured four other Boston venues ...
before deciding on the Mandarin, a decision largely driven by the Mandarin’s ballroom and garden. The ballroom is nothing short of stunning, the room and the styling are very well done, certainly a top tier ballroom in the city. However, the Mandarin differentiates itself from others by offering an outdoor space -- where we held our cocktail hour (ceremonies can also be performed in the space, but our ceremony was offsite). Having a green space for our guests to enjoy was high on our list and the ability to have an outdoor cocktail hour in the heart of the city is unmatched by anyone. Our guests were wowed. The staff also executed the transition from the outdoor space to the ballroom impeccably. Another key advantage to the Mandarin (compared to other venues): the wedding space is exclusively yours that day – i.e. there is only one wedding per day. You and your guests do not need to share the special day with others; also ensuring that the Mandarin staff is focused on your event.
Matching the quality of the space is the Mandarin’s exceptional service – from the dining staff to the wedding coordinator, the service and professionalism was top notch. Many of our guests complimented on the level and quality of service. The service was outstanding on the day of, as well as the leading up to wedding day. During planning, the Mandarin’s wedding coordinator was responsive, accommodating, and knowledgeable --- she also provided unique insight regarding logistics and design decisions. The wedding coordinator was outstanding on the day of the wedding--- every component of the cocktail hour/reception was handled flawlessly, thanks to her attention to detail and consideration. From small details (such as making sure bride/groom’s drinks are always full) to larger changes (last minute adjustments to the reception timeline) – the wedding coordinator was great. My husband and I truly did not have to worry about any logistics during the cocktail hour/reception.
Food, cake, drink.... all 5 stars. The food is probably some of the best wedding food you will ever have. It's truly restaurant quality, and delivered with the exceptional service described above.
And did I mention the hotel?! Top 3 hotel accommodations in Boston, easily – it speaks for itself. An added bonus: the Mandarin is attached to the Prudential Center so guests have plenty to do and can also stay at the other nearby hotels (attached via the Prudential Center). Lastly, in our opinion, the Back Bay neighborhood is the prettiest in Boston

I recently attended a wedding at the Mandarin and it was lovely in all respects except for the food. The steaks were inconsistently cooked (my husband got well done whereas my fri...
end got medium rare, and they ordered the same meal option) , the bread rolls were dry, and the cake wasn’t great either. I expected more of such an expensive, highly rated venue.
Dear Tim,
Molly's wedding was Sunday night. It was perfect!
I truly believe that none of this would have been possible without Emily Conroy. Emily held my hand ( and the bride's...
) thru the entire planning process and event. Her kindness and thoughtfulness were ever present and no detail was too small and no request too insignificant for her full attention. And the way she said "of course" to any of my probably sometimes ridiculous utterances, well, it was music to a mother of the bride's ears.
I worked with experienced talented vendors. Each and everyone of them commented to me about Emily's professionalism and calmness. I could not have agreed more.
I would be terribly remiss not to include Bree Warren, assistant banquet manager, who graciously worked with Emily to assure a flawless event.
My only regret- my work with Emily is over. I guess it's time to start planning the next party!
As you may remember, shortly after we signed our contract with the mandarin , your event planner left. My daughter was so worried and I anxious . You assured me that whomever you hired would be able to step in and make the transition a seamless one. Well, not only were you right- you are to be applauded for a brilliant hire.
Thank you again- for hiring Emily and making my daughter's dream wedding come true.
Best regards,
Heidi
We got married at the Mandarin in Boston in the fall of 2015 and everything was perfect from the minute we first set foot in the venue to take a tour to day we departed to go home ...
after we were married. We looked at every large hotel and venue in Boston to host our wedding and no one could match the Mandarin in terms of service, location and value. To be able to have an outdoor ceremony space in the middle of the city felt almost too good to be true. I also liked that there was only one ball room, so we would be the only event for the day.
The coordinator was flawless, no detail was overlooked and everything was taken care of before I even thought to ask about it. Every single staff person from the valet attendant, front desk, and the banquet chef, was fantastic and so helpful. I also appreciated how responsive everyone was during the planning. Every silly question I asked had an answer and was taken seriously and everyone was very accommodating. I should also note that so many of our vendors (DJ, florist, musicians) all noted how easy it is to work with the Mandarin and how professional everything is run.
I cannot recommend this venue enough. We had such an amazing and memorable event and our friends and family were so well cared for.

old us was "the best wedding ever". And, we agree. It was PERFECT.
The only thing more special than this hotel are the people that work here. The service is unmatched, the rooms are beautiful, the food is fantastic, the spa is heaven and the staff are the most professional, kind people. We left feeling like we were family and we can't wait to go back.
I had my wedding at the Mandarin, Boston. From the first time I saw the venue (8 months before my date) I fell in love with it. I had looked at the State Room, Boston Harbor Hotel,...
Seaport Hotel, Long Wharf Marriott hotel and others but none compared to the Mandarin. We were assigned catering manager Jessica who was an absolute dream to work with. For months leading up to the wedding, Jessica was crucial to all the planning, coordinating with vendors, suggesting creative and helpful tips and was always very quick to respond back. The wedding night itself was perfect. I did not have to worry about a thing as I knew Jessica, the true professional, would handle every detail large or small. The ballroom was gorgeous and guests seemed thrilled. The bridal suite is reason alone to book your wedding with the Mandarin. Absolutely the best hotel experience I have ever had. Not to mention the amazing gift the Mandarin gave my husband and I! 5 star hotel, 5 star dining, 5 star wedding experience. Wouldn't have done it anywhere else!
Amazing place!

eft a month before the wedding. I was then left to work with the director of catering, Mark. He was difficult to get in touch with, rude to my family, and overall ultimately unpleasant. If it hadn't been for him, I would have had a perfect experience. I'd give service a 5 if it hadn't been for him. He deserves a 1.

the event a one-in-a-century celebration. The Mandarin bent over backwards to provide us with 5 star service. I have nothing negative to report. If you can have your wedding here, you will be in for a treat.
