I started with Harbor Brewing Co. in June of 2022, but I've been the venue director for The Barrel Room since September 2023. Being a part of a family friendly and dog friendly event venue has been an amazing experience since I started here. My attention to detail and efficiency with communication is what lead the owners to promote from within and give me the opportunity on leading events in our new space, The Barrel Room. I've always loved weddings whether I'm attending or working them, but my favorite part is being able to see the couple's ideas and plans come to fruition on their big day.

I would HIGHLY recommend the Barrel Room for your next event! Now only did the staff make everything so easy and worry free, the decor in the venue was beautiful. When you first meet with Cheyenne you will see that you made the right decision by booking your event here! She makes everything so easy and calm! We had our wedding reception there and would do it again in a heartbeat! You can’t beat the wonderful staff, delicious drinks, and beautiful atmosphere. Book now!!

We had the absolute best experience working with Alyssa & Shy. We got married on September 21st, 2024. We had a total of 150 guests. We did our ceremony in the Barrel Room, cocktail hour in the front bar & the reception in the Barrel Room. The room flip from ceremony to reception was done perfectly.
One of the best parts about Harbor is their flexibility - you can truly make the space & the event exactly what you want it to be. I met with Alyssa & Shy several times before the big day & they were amazing. They have multiple drink packages, to meet your needs & allow catering from anywhere - which let us have tacos for dinner & home-made treats for our dessert!
Harbor was very flexible with our needs - my whole bridal party was able to get in the morning of the wedding for mimosas, brunch & time to get ready. You can also request access to the event space the day before / the day after if you are planning to set up on your own. We went that route and it made the whole day a lot less stressful!
I was skeptical of the venue fitting 150 people for dinner, but we had plenty of room & even had space for a "dance floor". The only time things felt tight was during cocktail hour - just encourage guests to spread out to help reduce congestion.
There are plenty of nearby options for photos, too boot. :)

The Barrel Room was a great venue for our wedding! We were one of the first weddings when they opened in Fall of 2023 and had about 180 guest. Shyanne was an amazing person to work with. She made sure everything we needed was available and was very approachable, professional, and responded to emails/text very quickly.
The bar staff was amazing as well. One bartender helped us clean chairs that we rented from an outside company to ensure they looked clean and wedding ready. Her along with the other staff made our guest feel welcome and were very quick on their feet behind the bar during cocktail hour/the wedding.
The venue itself was beautiful, modern, and had unique décor touches. The only downside is there is not a "getting ready bridal" room or location to hide while the guest were arriving. I ended up posting up in the bathroom and the rest of the party walked out from a back hall. It worked out but is something to think about if this is a major need for your wedding.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Barrel Room for your wedding!

STOP LOOKING AND USE WITH THIS VENUE!
My husband and I were thrilled with our choice! We are locals of Lake Villa/Lindenhurst and were beyond satisfied with our choice. Our coordinator was Shyanne. Shyanne helped us with everything and was such a delight! I am beyond happy with how well she helped us make our wedding very special. I provided her with all of our contacts for our vendors and she was amazing at helping coordinate with them. All of the vendors we used worked sooo well together that I enjoyed myself and didn't have a worry about anything. I grew up in the area and it was so nice to incorporate the Lehman Lake into our wedding photos as well.
This is only a venue and bar but that being said the venue itself is so beautiful that it's perfect for minimal decorations.

The whole process from the initial meeting through the night of the wedding was seamless and fantastic. Shyanne was very accommodating, professional and personable. All of our guests raved about the venue. We were a smaller wedding of about 50 so there was more than enough space. We said our vows on the barrel wall which fit us perfectly. Someone pointed out we were married under the Angels Envy barrel! ❤️. I would highly recommend!
