All the Details About Brooklyn Beckham's Engagement Ring for Fiancée Nicola Peltz

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz are engaged and now planning a wedding, but the eldest son of Victoria Beckham and David Beckham thoughtfully selected an engagement ring that best represented his girlfriend before proposing in early July. "Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes xx I am the luckiest man in the world," the eldest of four wrote, alongside a loved-up photo with Peltz. "I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day ❤️ I love you baby xx"

Brooklyn proposed with an emerald-cut diamond, which is listed as one of The Knot engagement ring trends of 2020. Peltz's stone weighs in at about 4.5 to five carats, set delicately on what appears to be a platinum band.

"Depending on the quality and specific characteristics of the center gemstone, we estimate the ring's cost is between $125,000 to $200,000," explains Kathryn Money, SVP of Brilliant Earth. "The elegant simplicity of the ring's design allows the gorgeous, show stopping center diamond to be the focal point."

Similarly, the Blue Nile team values Nicola Peltz's engagement ring between $140,000 to $200,000 in cost all based on the color and clairty of the diamond itself.

Other celebs in the last few years to opt for elongated emerald-cut diamonds include Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Lawrence. The diamond shape remains a popular trend for to-be-weds who seek a refreshing-yet-classic ring style that provides more dimension and surface area without compromising the cut. Historically speaking, stars like Grace Kelly and Elizabeth Taylor were also fond of the shape. "Elongated diamonds–including emeralds, elongated cushions and ovals–create a flattering look as their shape lengthens the wearer's finger," Money adds.

Beckham, the son of arguably one of the top power couples in the world, and Peltz, a model and actress, first started dating in 2019 after meeting in New York City. Brooklyn, 21, and Peltz, 25, held off from announcing the proposal for several weeks as they spent time celebrating with their loved ones.

The families, meanwhile, most certainly approve of the relationship. "Congratulations to these two beautiful people ...
