'Suicide Squad' Actor Joel Kinnaman Is Engaged: See the Modern Ring

Say hello to Joel Kinnaman and wife-to-be Kelly Gale. The Suicide Squad actor and model revealed their engagement on social media on Monday, January 18.

"She said no. Jus kiddin..." the Killing star, 41, joked, while his fiancée, 25, wrote on her Instagram account: "Yours forever." She followed up with an actual photo from the proposal moment (it looks like a self-timer was involved) and wrote, "Most beautiful moment❤️❤️❤️❤️."

Kinnaman proposed on January 13 outdoors along what appears to be the California coast. The couple held off on publicly revealing their engagement announcement, which is increasingly a popular choice among celebrities in particular.

He popped the question with a modern choice for an engagement ring: an oval-shaped diamond, diagonally displayed in an east-west setting. The couple likely connected initially over their Swedish backgrounds: Kinnamon is Swedish-American, while Gale was born and raised in Sweden and considers herself "half-Indian, half-Australian," which she noted on Instagram Stories. She also shared that they communicate in both English and Swedish.

This is the second marriage for the actor, who was previously with tattoo artist Cleo Wattenström for two years. Prior to his first marriage, Kinnaman dated actress Olivia Munn for several years. Both exes appear to be on good terms with Kinnamon and commented on his engagement post.

In addition, Kelly Gale's Instagram announcement was also received with a flurry of congratulatory remarks from her fellow Victoria's Secret models. Sara Sampaio, Nadine Leopold, Jasmine Tookes and Shanina Shaik all wrote messages congratulating the duo.

Gale further indicated on social media that she and Kinnamon will likely host a more intimate wedding and that they'd like to have kids. In one particularly sweet slide, she noted: "Super in love with my fiancé."
