edding could be. I literally started crying when I stepped into the world that they wove from flowers, plants, and their incredible vision for us. We gave minimal direction but it felt like they had read my mind. Multiple people at the wedding were amazed by the creative ways that they displayed florals -- as hanging elements, structural elements, and more -- not just limited to bouquets and bud vases. So grateful to have worked with them, thank you, thank you!

were invested in my ideas and mood boards, they were patient with the changes and working out the quote so that it fit perfectly with everything that I wanted: affordability + beauty. Denise even went above and beyond and met with us at our venue to walk through and discuss ideas and she gave amazing feedback on all the possibilities and how we could make them work! ter we signed the contract and with some negotiation, we were able to meet in person with Denise and thought we were at a pretty good place then. Denise asked if we had some leeway in our budget and indeed we did so a new proposal arrived that was over twice the original budget. We immediately let them know that most of what they proposed was not what we wanted or needed. From that point on I found them temperamental and almost condescending to work with. Yes, they replied and answered questions in a timely manner but there was a tone I didn't appreciate. Fast forward to the wedding, the actual floral table arrangements and bouquets were stunning and exactly what we wanted. We had ordered what they called a deconstructed arch and it was supposed to be sparse. The imagine they sent was sparse and showed some flowers. It was fairly big ticket item in the budget and it was only for the ceremony so we were fine with that concept. What we got was ugly and not what I expected. I was disappointed and embarrassed when I was seated for the ceremony. There was only one type foliage, some of which was wilted and brown. I let them know that I was disappointed and they told me they love Elaeagnus and that there wasn't much else available this time of year. In walking around New Orleans the week of the wedding there were all types of foliage in most yards. Something like a variegated pittosporum , Savannah Holly and any other foliage to add texture would have been nice! Fortunately, we had a beautiful rug, twinkling lights, 6 gorgeous bridesmaids, 6 handsome groomsmen, a thoughtful officiant and a beaming bride and groom to cover that thing up. Sorry Pistil & Stamen! Can't recommend you to others.

ng was insanely beautiful. I love that they grow all of the flowers and that, while you can request a style, exactly what they create is dependent on what is in season and blooming. I wish I could have carried my bouquet all night, it was so beautiful. You won't regret hiring these amazing women!

a very small wedding, and they were more than happy to work with us on something on the smaller side (and allowed our wedding coordinator to pick up the flowers, so we didn't have to pay delivery for just a few items). We didn't provide a whole lot of direction, but mostly just wanted them to come up with something gorgeous, and they did exactly that. Their love and passion for flowers comes through in all of their work. If you like what you see on their website (check out their instagram feed, it's to die for!), Pistil and Stamen is well work the slightly higher price than some other vendors. What they're doing is really special, and you'll be thrilled with the end result! Full disclosure, I actually kept my bouquet alive for about a week+ after the wedding... even driving it back with my to Chicago after the wedding. I loved it THAT much.

So many people at my wedding complimented us on our flowers. My favorite thing was my flower crown. I wore it instead of a veil, and everyone said I looked like a fairy princess!

I really appreciated that they were able to accommodate a last minute request due to layout changes. After about a thousand emails... I could not have been happier with the flowers! We wanted more foliage & greenery than flowers and they did such a beautiful job of executing our vision. They even included fruit in the bouquets! I did not request any specific flowers, and decided to go with whatever Pistil & Stamen thought was most beautiful from their gardens at the time of the wedding. It could have not have been more perfect, and the flowers were truly stunning. This is a local business that grows all their flowers on site, and hiring them was the best decision! Very unique flowers too, not all of them were arranged exactly the same (which was great!), and all of the bouquets were delivered in vases so they wouldn't have to lay on tables when not being used.My only reason for 4 stars is they were on the expensive side for the size of the bouquets. However, I wouldn't have wanted them any larger, and the quality made up the price!

look, I first saw my bouquet and screamed with delight... they were PERFECT. Through my annoying string of e-mails I bombarded Denise and Sarah with, they saw my vision and created such a lovely array of flowers for me, my bridesmaids, groom and parents... they were nothing short of absolute beauty and perfection. until the day of, I was very happy with the flowers provided. My husband thought the flowers seemed a bit faded but, I knew this was due to their being locally grown, not mass-produced flower farm flowers and this is why I chose the company. The arrangements were creative, beautiful and lasted for many hours.

My only regret from the whole day is that my bouquet got left in water instead of dried, and all I have are the photos to remind me of their artistry. My husband and I met while working at an outdoor summer camp in Texas, so nature has always been an important element of our relationship. This company has such a unique and earthy style that showcases the true beauty of the outdoors. During our first meeting I told them that I wanted my bouquet to look like I had walked through the forest and collected the flowers on the way to our wedding, and the final product was breathtaking. They also created a floral crown for me to wear at the reception, corsages for our mothers and grandmothers, floral combs and simple bouquets for the gals in our wedding party, succulent arrangements for some of our centerpieces, and a moss garland to hang on the gates of Race and Religious. In addition, they provided flowers and greenery for us to place in wine bottles we had decorated for centerpieces, and to designate chairs for our family to sit in at the wedding space. They were creative, easy to work with, and truly helped make our vision for our venue come alive. We had an incredibly positive experience working with Pistil & Stamen, and I would highly recommend them to anyone getting married in New Orleans that would like to incorporate the gorgeous elements of nature!

They make sure that they have a clear idea of what you want for your big day and really do a wonderful job bringing your vision to life. What put this company just above and beyond, out of this world for me, was that THEY GROW or locally source all of their flowers, and do it organically!!! This is a small business run by women that is all about beauty, sustainability, and community. Such a pleasure to have worked with them, they helped make my day simply gorgeous. I would hire thee ladies again in a heartbeat.
