Joelle made sure that all of our vendors had the logistics detail needed for the wedding day, created a thorough timeline for all vendors/family/bridal party and made sure our wedding day was executed perfectly. Joelle was an absolute pleasure to work with and I knew that everything was going to be perfect on our day because I completely trusted her and I was not disappointed. On the day of the wedding, Joelle brought an assistant that worked with the guys most of time. She came prepared with a kit to fix anything. (I had gotten a makeup stain on my white shoe that she got right out). She also kept every person in my wedding party and my family on time and on task. She helped with arranging my centerpieces and decor at the reception. If anything went wrong, I did not even know about it because Joelle was able to take care of everything. It allowed my mom and sister to enjoy the day as well! I would definitely recommend this company as they do a great job and they are priced well. My mom and I cannot say enough good things about how helpful Joelle was the entire wedding day.

I didn't want to bother my friends, my groom or other family to help me through the fine details of the planning decisions so I figured an expert in the industry would be exactly what I needed to help ensure that my dream could truly become a reality. I was lucky to have a groom who was adamant about me having my dream wedding and that he would be happy with whatever made me smile. I came across Melissa's site after doing a lot of research. I had met with multiple planners in person prior but felt that Melissa truly got my vision. She was friendly, experienced and easy to talk to. We quickly began planning and she attended every tasting, floral, cake, etc appointments. She was in touch with all of my vendors from napkin to linens to photographers to chairs...you name it. She helped offer me industry discounts where she could. Melissa was excellent in providing me with very honest feedback the entire process. I often was very certain on what I wanted and she helped me to take a step back and really see the larger picture offering her recommendations and why they may be a better fit for my overall picture. I truly appreciated that as I have never planned a wedding...I have never even decorated a home or thrown a party before so her expertise was priceless. The day of my wedding Melissa gave me a sneak peak of the reception room before our guests sat down. I was brought to tears as it was EXACTLY what I was hoping for and more. Melissa is a great wedding planner and truly helps brides in achieving their dream wedding. She will provide you with honest feedback and she has the experience necessary in the industry to help provide advice/recommendations when needed. Even though I didn't have my mom to help give me the confidence in my wedding planning decisions I did have Melissa who helped reassure me of everything every step of the way. From my late night emails and early morning concerns she continued to keep my mind at ease. I thank Melissa for everything she did for me and HIGHLY recommend her for any future brides.

erfect had a great package for us. They call it "Day of" but really it's 3-4 months of planning-a really great value! Joelle was with us every step of the way, from meeting with vendors to tie up loose ends to helping make sure everyone got paid on time. She thought of things that in all my wedding stress I totally forgot to do. Joelle reached out to vendors to coordinate the whole day, something I just didn't have time to do. Probably the most helpful thing was the detailed timeline she put together. We shared it with vendors, family, and the wedding party. It helped keep everyone in the loop and put accountability on everyone involved. Both my husband and I feel we couldn't have pulled off our wedding without Joelle. She was a huge asset the last several months of our planning!

We had both vendors and guests asking to keep some of our decorations! With our extremely busy life Melissa made sure that all of the details were taken care of - nothing was too small to address, even the night before! She went beyond the extra mile to try and save us money with all of the vendors - at last count she saved us at last $1000 by negotiating rates down or doing some of the work herself. I couldn't have done this without her - spend a little extra and do some customized services with her. Don't let the little stresses ruin your day, Melissa will more than take care of everything!

We did a bit of both -- a lot of long phone calls in the beginning, but then by the end we knew each other so well that in the few months prior to our wedding, we just let her take charge and she did a PHENOMENAL job. She put in a lot of time, thought, and energy into our wedding and it really showed. One Melissa's greatest strengths is that she's really there with you on the day of your wedding. She takes charge and you can let her handle everything on the big day. She's got your back. She will keep everyone organized and definitely takes charge on that day, so the bride/groom can just enjoy themselves. Prior to the big day, she also strives to attend all your vendor meetings. She's really good at making sure all the style pieces come together. If you have a vision and are reasonable (ie. have a budget consistent with your vision), she can make it happen. She takes professionalism seriously. When it came to picking vendors, Melissa was helpful particularly with our caterer, DJ, and florist. Each of those was critical in helping our day have the look and feel that we wanted. She also made some things by hand herself, which was awesome! I didn't expect her to be making things in her backyard (which was consistent/perfect with the look-feel we wanted) and so in that way, I really felt she went above and beyond. She's creative and willing to think outside the box. She's dedicated and always cheerful. Really a pleasure to work with! It wouldn't be wedding planning without a few hiccups (if it were always smooth and easy, brides/grooms wouldn't need planners, right?) and we went through a handful of them with Melissa. Importantly, she was always willing to clarify and communicate about any issues that came up. If we were to mention a downside (after all, a review wouldn't be realistic without some mention of a downside), it would be that her being so flexible meant that we occasionally couldn't quite figure out who was in charge (the couple or the planner), leading us to feel disorganized. This can be remedied by setting up expectations early and reassessing as needed. She was very understanding of our requests and consistently delivered what we asked for and adjusted herself to our needs (not forcing us to comply with hers). Sometimes it felt like there were also delays in email response (by a few days) in the early planning process (which can be a challenge for anxious or time-pressed brides) due to other clients' weddings, but on the other hand, it's beneficial to have her focused 100% on your wedding the day of instead of messaging other couples on your most important day! She was definitely 100% present on our wedding day! Many of our guests thought our wedding was one of the most unique, personalized, "magazine worthy" weddings they attended. It was a really great time - we had a blast, the energy of the day was great, and everything pretty worked out even better than planned -- and we had high expectations! We're so glad we had Melissa as our wedding planner! As we reflect on our wedding day itself, Melissa lives up to her name as it really was.. Simply Perfect!

She and I were around each other quite often throughout the course of the wedding weekend. She helped me dress & bustle, magically found Tylenol in the wink of an eye right before my Dad's speech, made sure I ate, had water, got to the bathroom- someone to think for me while I just enjoyed! I was surprised at Melissa's lack of project management skills, lack of timely follow up and follow through, and lack of execution on contracted services. As an example, she chose a stationery vendor that managed up to the very last minute...very unprofessional. I would strongly encourage propsective clients to either make sure you have the time to stay on top of Melissa if you should hire her, or select a vendor that will execute to your expectations flawlessly....Melissa unfortunately, wasn't a good choice for us. We later found out that she was oversubscribed having taken on more jobs than she could manage. If it weren't for our ability to take the reigns when needed, our wedding would have been a disaster. In all, simply perfect by Melissa was NOT SO Perfect.

That's something I would've never come up with on my own! I had a very rowdy wedding party and she was able to handle them with ease while keeping a smile on her face. She kept me and my husband on task so that we were able to enjoy our entire day without feeling too rushed. Overall, I am very happy with the choice to use Simply Perfect by Melissa. I paid 1300 for her services, and that was broken up into easy 3 payments. Although thats not a ton of money, when planning and paying for your own wedding, finances can get a little tight. It was well worth it ladies!!! I feel that all brides should be able to enjoy their day and she helped make that happen for me. Melissa was on-point! She is organized and professional but not too stuffy. She has a sense of humor which she definitely needed for our group!! I couldnt have done it without her!!!

There are SO many details to organize those last couple weeks, and Melissa made sure everything was in place to run smoothly. She created a detailed timeline and confirmed all plans with our vendors. It was so nice to have her there with us the morning of our wedding day, because I knew I didn’t have to worry about a thing. She made sure everything was set up and ready to go for our ceremony and reception. I handed her our unity candle the night before, and it was perfectly set-up and ready for us that day. When our DJ was announcing our bridal party, he looked over one of the couples, and Melissa quickly responded and he announced them right before us. I know I am leaving out so much more that Melissa did for us that day. All I know is there were quite a few details I didn’t do or delegate to family/friends (like tent all the escort cards), but somehow they got done! I knew I could rely on her, and that meant more than words can say. Melissa was wonderful to work with throughout the whole process, and she allowed me to have a worry-free day to enjoy our wedding. We were even early to the cocktail hour after the ceremony! The bustle on my dress broke before dinner and without thinking twice, Melissa pulled out her emergency kit and re-sewed the bustle on my dress!! I would never have been able to do my first dance had she not been there. Melissa and her team took care of EVERYTHING so my husband and I could enjoy our night and have fun. If you want to enjoy your wedding day and not worry about any problems (which, let's be honest, something is bound to go wrong) then I HIGHLY recommend Melissa and her team.
