'A Midsummer Night's Dream' Inspiration Shoot With a Texas Twist

Dreaming of getting married in an enchanted forest? Put a Texas twist on it.
by Shelby Simon
  1. We're entirely enchanted by this A Midsummer Night's Dream-inspired shoot. The natural, moss-covered table paired with lush floral details and whimsical animal figurines will transport you from a Texas lakeside to a romantic, ethereal forest. Sara Mulder and Kristi DePew of Bella by Sara created luxury in the woods with gilded jewel tone place settings, teacups and pewter goblets from The Marvelous Vintage Tea Party Company. Butterfly-shaped menus and paper dragonflies and hummingbirds from Dragonfly Designs Invitations accented the rich color palette. The bursting floral centerpieces atop handmade iron candelabras included rich burgundy and orange roses, crisp green hydrangeas, hanging amaranthus and royal purple stock. A nature-inspired dessert display sweetened the scene with fresh berries, sugar cookies topped with delicate pansy blossoms and miniature Texas pecan pies. The metallic gold cake by Memory Makers Cakes, which was the showstopper with gold leaves and fresh florals, glistened on a large wood cake display. See all the inspiring details captured by Josh Baker of AzulOx Photography below.
