The Call Her Daddy host told Vogue that Kaplan was instrumental throughout the entire planning experience, saying, "Matt handled almost everything so I was quite stress free. In my defense, as a producer, Matt's specialty is planning and visualizing and bringing things to life, so I knew if I wanted it to go perfectly, leave it to Matt. Of course, I contributed where I could—like what flavor the cake would be—but I give Matt so much credit because he truly took on the heavy lifting, and it was perfect."
The wedding weekend, which was planned in collaboration with Bash Please, began with a welcome party on April 4, where the couple enjoyed drinks on the beach with their guests. On the morning of the ceremony, Cooper got ready alongside her closest friends in a blue robe from her new Skims collection.
Revamping tradition was a theme throughout the couple's wedding celebration, beginning with the ceremony. Rather than walk down the aisle, Cooper told Vogue that she walked toward the altar through double doors at the back of the event space. "It was the perfect moment because as soon as I came out, the only thing I saw was Matt," she recalled. "It was a very dramatic moment revealing my dress but also a very beautiful euphoric moment between the two of us." In keeping with a custom started by her mother, Cooper walked toward her groom alone as her parents proudly looked on from their seats.
Following the "electric" ceremony that left everyone in tears, the newlyweds chose to join their guests for the start of cocktail hour. "It was the perfect way to start the evening, have a couple of drinks, and if I'm real, let my guests see my dress up close and get some pictures before we moved on to my next outfit," she told the outlet.

She opted for a vintage Donna Karan hand-embroidered tulle dress for the rehearsal dinner, which played into the setting's playful beachy vibe.

Finally, the bride ended the night in a Versace corset top and skirt set, which was sourced from a 1995 archive. Cautious to not ruin the ensemble, she swapped the bodice for a plain white tank as she and all of her guests ran into the ocean at the end of the party. "I was expecting maybe just my close friends to join in, but to my complete shock almost the entire wedding took charge to the ocean," she remembered. "Parents, grandparents, family, and friends."
