Chris Evans' wedding to girlfriend Alba Baptista took place in September 2023—and now, over a month after the ultra-private event took place, we know exactly how these two celebrated...and it was nothing short of marvelous. During an appearance at New York Comic Con on October 14, the actor sported a wedding band on his left ring finger. While speaking on a panel, Chris Evans confirmed that he and his wife hosted two weddings, one in Cape Cod and another destination ceremony in her native Portugal, calling them "wonderful and beautiful."
He shared more about their life as newlyweds, saying, "It's a lot planning a wedding. For those of you who are married you know it takes a lot out of you," he said. "But now that we're through that, we've just been enjoying life, gearing up for autumn, my favorite season. Now we're just relaxing and enjoying life and reflecting."
Page Six was the first to report the news that the Captain America: The First Avenger star married his girlfriend, a fellow actress, on Saturday, September 9 at a private estate in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Plenty of Evans' famous friends attended the ultra-private ceremony, including his Marvel co-stars Robert Downey Jr. and his wife, Susan Downey; Chris Hemsworth and his wife, Elsa Pataky; and Jeremy Renner. Fellow A-listers John Krasinski and Emily Blunt were also in attendance.

Chris Evans and his girlfriend Alba Baptista were first linked in November 2022. When news of their romance went public, a source told People that they were "serious" and had been together for over a year. "They are in love and Chris has never been happier," the insider told the outlet. "His family and friends all adore her."
Although he has since deleted his Instagram page, Chris Evans confirmed his romance with girlfriend Alba Baptista in January 2023 by sharing a video montage that featured various clips of them pranking each other. The following month, he celebrated Valentine's Day with a photo dump of pictures showing them hiking, traveling, and spending time with his dog, Dodger. The couple never formally announced their engagement.
Baptista, an actress and humanitarian, is best known for her role in Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris, as well as Netflix's Warrior Nun.
In Evans' 2022 Sexiest Man Alive interview with People Magazine, he opened up about his desire to have a family one day. "That's absolutely something I want: wife, kids, building a family," he shared. "When you read about most of the best artists, whether it's actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn't the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships; the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared."
He continued, "So it's also something through my long 41 years that also rings true. Those things are the most important. I love the idea of tradition and ceremony. I had a lot of that in my life, so the idea of creating that—I can't think of anything better."
