Today, it is surrounded by six acres of trees and gorgeous plantings and is encircled by a 400-acre nature preserve. Host your ceremony in the lush gardens, and then prop up a tent on the lawn for your reception.

The Ridge Club in Sandwich, Massachusetts

This Cape Cod wedding venue is a favorite among couples—it's won several The Knot's Best of Weddings awards. The Ridge Club features a newly-installed clear-top tent for ceremonies and a spacious patio overlooking the expansive property for cocktail hour, as well as the clubhouse's garden-style pavilion room for dinner and dancing. The venue can host weddings and events for up to 180 guests, and catering is handled on site for total convenience and stress-free planning.

Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club in Brewster, Massachusetts

From Ocean Edge Resort's grand 1907 mansion to its private beach on the Cape Cod Bay, this Brewster venue truly shines. Make it official on the property's private Bay Pines Beach or on the front lawn in front of Nickerson Mansion. Then set up a tent there for your wedding reception, or take advantage of one of the resort's other spaces including a 4,500-square-foot ballroom or the Bay Pines poolside pavilion. Located at the Club at New Seabury, a private golf community, The Popponesset Inn tent is a perfectly picturesque oceanfront venue. Sea Crest Beach Hotel in North Falmouth, Massachusetts

The Sea Crest Beach Hotel was made for New England beach weddings, especially since the venue is known for it's stunning sunsets and elegant-yet-laid-back air. Wequassett Resort and Golf Club in Harwich, Massachusetts

If Chatham is your Cape destination of choice, Wequassett makes for the perfect spot to host your big day. This resort destination offers 120 accommodations for guests as well as pools, tennis courts and restaurants, not to mention not to mention more than several spaces for ceremonies, cocktail hours and receptions. For your ceremony, the Grand Lawn awaits on the edge of Pleasant Bay, with a stone staircase from the terrace for a striking entrance. For your reception, the waterfront Garden Terrace is a 30-foot-high permanent tented structure with floor-to-ceiling accordion-style glass doors that and a terrace with ocean views. There's also the Pavilion, a ballroom with a wrap-around porch, chandeliers, birch paneling and of course, sea sight-lines.

Willowbend in Mashpee, Massachusetts

Calling all golf-lovers: This 400-acre Cape Cod country club with a vast golf course is an ideal spot for your celebration. Exchange rings out on the course at the "Ceremony Tee" with the property's 18th green, working cranberry bog and rustic red barn in the background. After, head into the Willowbend clubhouse, where the Grand Ballroom awaits featuring views of the golf course and its water features.

Wychmere Beach Club in Harwich Port, Massachusetts

Take your romance to the coast at Wychmere Beach Club, where the beachy atmosphere is undeniable. The venue has a private white sand beach, as well as several other venues including the Harbor Room, a stunning space with driftwood floors, sailcloth drapers and wrap-around sliding glass doors. There's also the Ocean Room and Rooftop: 6,000-square-feet of indoor-outdoor space, with a dining room with driftwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows and Italian chandeliers.
