Who is Connor McDavid's Wife, Lauren Kyle?
Connor McDavid is married to Lauren Kyle, an interior designer. The Canadian native attended Ryerson University in Toronto, where she received a bachelor's degree in interior design. "Connor told me we had a charity event at a golf course in Muskoka to attend," she recalled to Vogue Australia. "As we were on our way to the event from the city, we stopped at our cottage to drop off our dog Lenard…to my surprise, as we got out of the car there was a trail of flowers leading us to a beautiful set-up on the deck."

McDavid popped the question with a dazzling pear-cut diamond engagement ring on a gold split-shank band. Reflecting on the engagement, Kyle wrote on Instagram, "I cannot put into words how happy I am to be spending the rest of our lives together. Lauren Kyle and Connor McDavid's wedding took place at Old Woman Island on Lake Muskoka, a cluster of archipelago accessible only by boat. Calling the fête a "ten-day production," Kyle and McDavid's wedding featured four themed events: an "old money" rehearsal dinner, a "European summer" welcome party, a fairytale dinner reception, and a disco after-party.
The bride thoughtfully curated her wedding wardrobe, which featured designs from Ralph Lauren, Danielle Frankel, Oscar de la Renta, and Chloé. She walked down the aisle in a custom Vivienne Westwood wedding dress with a structured basque waist and the label's signature scooped neckline.
The couple exchanged vows on a floating dock constructed specifically for the wedding, where the athlete surprised the bride with his touching words. "An unexpected element of the wedding were Connor's vows," she told Vogue Australia. "He is usually more reserved and quiet about his emotions but his vows were so emotional and heartfelt—it was really special to share that in front of all of our friends and family."
After, the newlyweds and their loved ones enjoyed dinner under a canopy of trees, which were decorated with suspended clusters of gauzy white flowers. They shared their first dance to Ben Howard's "Only Love," which was playing when they got engaged. The night ended with a colorful disco after-party featuring a performance by Canadian duo Loud Luxury.
Looking back on the big day, Kyle says one of her favorite memories was the "victory lap" she and her husband took in a wooden boat around the island. "It was so nice to have a moment together; appreciate where we were, and all of the people who showed up to support us," she said. "We got to really relish in the moment."
