Danielle Fishel and Husband Jensen Karp Welcome Their Second Child
Two little ones for Topanga. Boy Meets World actress Danielle Fishel and husband Jensen Karp have welcomed their second child together, a son named Keaton Joseph Karp, she revealed via Instagram over Labor Day Weekend.
"On 8/29/2021 we welcomed Keaton Joseph Karp to the world. He was born on his deceased grandfather's birthday (like I prayed for!) and his middle name is an homage to his great grandfather who is still here to meet him at almost 98 years old," Fishel revealed. "Adler is a super(hero) big brother and Jensen Karp and I are thrilled to have him home, healthy and safe, with us. Also, Adler thinks my postpartum care tools are a lot more fun than I do."
The Boy Meets World actress revealed she's expecting her second on May 5, which also happened to be her 40th birthday. "I've never been more excited or hopeful for the next decade of my life," wrote Fishel. "I had a beautiful childhood, teenage years I still dream about, my 20's were insane (and mostly miserable) and my 30's brought me lows and highs but eventually I leveled out to a place of security. Security in who I am, what I believe, and with whom I want to spend precious time."
"I couldn't be more grateful to enter my 40's with my amazing husband and son, excitedly expecting the arrival of baby boy #2," she continued at the time. "My birthday wish is for all of you to tell someone how much you love them and walk through today with more patience than you normally might."
Fishel and her husband married in Los Angeles in October 2018. A year later, they welcomed their son, Adler. Here's what to know about Fishel's marriage, wedding and more.
Danielle Fishel & Husband Jensen Karp's Wedding Details
Fishel and Karp married in October 2018, at the Carondelet House in L.A. in a warm, industrial-style ceremony, followed by a romantic reception. Guests included many of Fishel's former colleagues among other celeb names. Boy Meets World's Ben Savage, who played Topanga Lawrence's lifelong love interest Cory Matthews, as well as Will Friedle, who played Eric Matthews on the smash sitcom.
The bride wore a gown by WHITE by Vera Wang from David's Bridal, and accessorized her look with a Jennifer Behr hairpiece. She chose white, lace pumps from Bella Belle Shoes and carried a colorful autumnal bouquet comprised of cream color roses, burnt orange ranunculus and white anemone stems. The bride and groom (also the producer of the program Drop the Mic) most notably shared their first dance to an acoustic version of Beyonce's smash hit "XO," performed by John Mayer himself.
"Jensen brought many new and wonderful friends into my life and the friendship of @johnmayer is at the top of the list," Fishel later shared on Instagram alongside a video teaser by Atomic Tangerine Film Co. "His immense talent is only overshadowed by his humor, his heart, his sincerity, his loyalty, his candor, and his generous spirit. We are beyond grateful and thrilled that he was not only a groomsman but agreed to sing our first dance song. I'm obsessed with his cover of this song (XO by @beyoncé) and he played it for us live at the Forum last year simply because I told him how much I loved it. Thank you, John, for all of it."
"Today I married my soulmate," Karp added after his wedding. "We were surrounded by family and friends and it was the best day of my life."
