Updated Mar 06, 2025The Worst Wedding Behavior According to Reddit
Some of the worst wedding guest behavior we've ever seen.
Whether it's in marriage or in life, there's only so much you can control, and no matter how well you plan, there's always something that could go wrong—after all, if Audrina Patridge can suffer a wardrobe malfunction, it can happen to any of us.
On a recent Reddit thread, users revealed the worst behavior they've ever seen at a wedding, and from an impromptu ring bearer pillow fight to a guest in a wedding dress, their stories are totally wince worthy. Brace yourself for these awkward wedding anecdotes.
- "Well I don't remember any of this, but there's an old tape of it happening. My cousin and I are walking down the aisle with the rings and all of a sudden we both stop. We look at each other, I look at my pillow, back to him, and then hit him in the head with the pillow. He jumped up and started hitting me, and we had a pillow fight in the middle of a church during my aunt's wedding."
- "At my aunt's wedding reception a fight broke out and the venue was immediately cleared, both due to families quickly taking their kids away and due to the drunk guests wanting to punch on. The funny part was that it all happened so fast that one of my uncles went to the bathroom while the party was in full swing and emerged a few minutes later to a totally empty room."
- "I've generally been at pretty well-behaved weddings but at one of them, two guys who were invited and accepted skipped the ceremony and dinner to go paintballing. They then showed up around 10 p.m. without having changed or showered (so still wearing white tees and covered in paint and mud) to drink."
- "It happened before I was born, but my grandmother (father's mother) wore her wedding dress to my parents wedding. Definitely was not a good way to start her relationship with my mother."
- "At a friend's wedding the groom wore a backwards baseball cap through the entire ceremony and reception. The best man wore sunglasses, a baseball cap, a chain necklace and had a cane (that he didn't need) with a decorative skull on the top."
