Trust Us: A Stylish Wedding Jacket is What Your Bridal Wardrobe Has Been Missing
Choosing a wedding dress may be one of the most exciting aspects of planning your day—but picking accessories can be just as fun. When it comes to personalizing your look, few add-ons can compete with a wedding jacket. From a pearl-embellished jean jacket to an edgy leather coat, a custom cover-up is a memorable (and functional) way to enhance your attire. Perhaps one of the biggest perks of investing in a creative cover up is that it's a practical addition to your wedding capsule wardrobe. Plus, if you purchase one early enough, you can wear it to all of your pre-wedding events, from the wedding shower to the bach party.
A wedding jacket will easily transform your wedding dress from ceremony to reception. (Read: If you aren't sold on a second dress, a jacket is a great way to change up your look throughout the day.) Or, if the weather unexpectedly changes, a jean jacket or leather coat will be your saving grace. Most bridal jackets are also versatile enough to wear to any venue too, from city hall to a modern loft or even a backyard barn. Bonus: It's also celeb-approved—stars like Hailey Bieber and Kim Kardashian endorsed the wedding jacket trend at their weddings.

Tips for Choosing a Wedding Dress Jacket
Can we give you some more unsolicited advice (I'm sure you've already had your fair share while planning)? Here are three things to keep in mind when shopping for a bridal jacket:
Material
Chances are, you'll want your jacket to complement or juxtapose your wedding dress in a way that is aesthetically pleasing. To ensure this, we recommend paying close attention to the material of your jacket. If you have a swatch of your wedding dress fabric, bring it along with you as you shop for accessories, to be sure you like the way the colors and styles of fabrics look next to one another.
Length
Wedding jackets come in all different varieties, from mini boleros, to long coats. While the length you choose obviously comes down to personal preference, we do have a few tips to help you decide. If you're wearing a full-length gown on your wedding day, adding a long coat on top might make you feel overwhelmed with fabric. In this instance, a bolero, shawl or wrap might be the better choice. Alternatively, if you are wearing a short wedding dress, you might appreciate the drama of a longer coat.
Function
Be sure to think about the purpose you want your wedding jacket to serve. Are you planning an outdoor wedding and need a jacket to keep you warm, or are you looking for one that can be a cute add-on during photo-ops? The answer to this question should determine the type of jacket you choose. A faux fur coat, for instance, is a great option for keeping cozy during a winter ceremony. On the other hand, a light denim jacket might do the trick if you're planning to be indoors most of the time.
