Wow- I had such an incredible experience at Brilliant Bridal (11/20/2020). While I had started to look at dresses online this fall and had some style preferences, I had never tried on a gown before. For that reason, I didn't know how the styles... I like online would actually look on my body.
I brought one friend to my appointment (although 3 were permitted), and the shop was very amenable to having my in-person friend Zoom in my mom from Texas and my best friend in DC. My stylist, Cassidy, was so friendly and approachable. I appreciated her approach to giving me space to identify a few dresses that caught my eye. As I tried on these first 5 dresses and modeled them for my in-person and virtual guests, I could tell that the gears in Cassidy's brain were moving. She did an incredible job of taking my feedback and creating an inventory of what I liked and disliked in a dress. Since this was my first experience trying on dresses, I really appreciated this approach. Cassidy continued to bring me different dresses to try on, each time getting closer to "just perfect". She was also very mindful of my budget.
As my 90-minute appointment was ending I felt very satisfied. At that moment I knew I hadn't found "the one", but I felt as though I was much closer to really knowing myself and my likes/ dislikes because of Cassidy's manner and expertise. I NEVER felt pressured in any way. As my appointment was ending Cassidy came back with another dress that had recently arrived at the store. I was the first person to try it on, and I just knew immediately it was "the one". Even though I was now past 90-minutes, Cassidy never rushed me at all. And, she still wanted me to try on my other top choice (which I wouldn't have gone with, but was just the one that I felt the best in) as a point of comparison. Then, I tried the last one on again with a veil and knew it was my dress.
I cannot recommend visiting Brilliant Bridal enough. You may find your dress on this trip, as I did, or maybe you won't. But I can't imagine that you'll find a more supportive and affirming group of stylists that are working not for commission but rather to support you in knowing your preferences as you work towards a decision. I was also thrilled to learn that the proceeds from my dress will go to Brides Against Breast Cancer, as the dress was donated from the designer for that reason. What an incredible experience.
From a COVID perspective, I felt very safe as the Denver store strictly followed local protocols. I appreciate how they were really welcoming to my two virtual guests.
I really had no expectation that I would leave Brilliant Bridal with a dress on my first visit, but I am just. so. thrilled. I am so appreciative of the staff who made this experience so affirming and lovely. I left thinking, "Wow- in just two hours I had a stylist who really knew me, and I trusted her". I couldn't have written out a more positive experience if I'd tried.
