Catoctin Hall at Musket Ridge is a country club wedding venue located in Myersville, MD. Nestled on 150 acres of lush greens and fairways, this golf course offers a spectacular backdrop for your special celebration. The club is conveniently situated just minutes from Frederick and an hour from Washington, DC. It provides a secluded and picturesque setting for couples who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the capital for a scenic wedding. With a golf course designed by Joe Lee and an architecturally unique club house, this venue is the perfect spot to make timeless memories.
Catoctin Hall at Musket Ridge offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, hills, lakes, and vistas. Among the verdant lawns and retro bridges sits a white pergola, under which you and your partner can tie the knot. A path leads to this area and makes for an excellent aisle. Your guests can be seated on either side of the walkway to witness the moving and emotional exchange of vows. Afterward, retire to the state-of-the-art banquet hall, where you will enjoy a night of dining and dancing. This building features an authentic metal roof, intricate stonework, and a classic exterior. Inside you will find vaulted ceilings, beautiful, reclaimed hardwood floors and large windows that provide sweeping views and let in plenty of natural light. An outdoor terrace will also be at your disposal for sipping cocktails late into the night by our newly constructed stone fire pit.
The staff at Catoctin Hall at Musket Ridge are skilled at planning and coordinating nuptials for couples with discerning taste. They will pull out all the stops to ensure your wedding exceeds all your expectations. Rental of the facility includes up to five hours of event time, white and ivory floor-length linens, tables and Chiavari chairs, and china, glassware, and flatware. Centerpieces and an array of votive and pillar candles are also available to add a romantic ambiance to the festivities. Customized menus, cake cutting, and a bartender are provided to ensure that your culinary experience is the perfect complement to your elegant affair.

We had our ceremony in the cocktail hour space in the covered area due to rain, and it was more beautiful than we could have expected. Obviously, no couple wants rain on their wedding day, but the venue did an amazing job curating a gorgeous, intimate space for us!
During cocktail hour and the reception, the staff was quick and friendly! The line at the bar moved quickly (even though one of the bar tenders called out sick!) and anytime my husband or I needed anything, there was always someone on the team nearby to help.
We used ribbon wands for our grand exit. Each wand was individually wrapped in plastic, and we were just planning on our guests to unwrap them. My maid of honor was looking for the box of the wands to get ready to hand them out to guests, and she found the staff at musket ridge unwrapping every individual wand…its service like that that really puts this venue above and beyond!
We will always cherish this venue and the wonderful memories we made there!!! Thank you, musket ridge!!!

ment from July 2021 to July 2022. They made sure everything was setup according to our plan and had so many staff members on hand to help. I had such sweet bridal attendants helping me with my dress train and bouquets. Then at the end of the night so many staff members were there to help gather all of our personal decor items and helped my family pack them into the car. Everything down to the last detail was planned and thought through. Thank you doesn't cover it. Choosing the right venue is the biggest decision and Catoctin Hall made it the easiest decision.

rry - Susie was there supporting and easing my worries. Luckily we were blessed with a beautiful day and no rain. When we had last minute RSVP issues and switches - there were no issues and Susie always got back to us in a timely manner. We did have a small problem where there was a mix up with our catering company and we were missing a birthday cake for my new sister in law - Susie contacted them and handled it perfectly. The cake arrived and the worry was gone.
I cannot recommend Musket Ridge enough. Beyond the service, the food is amazing!! All of our guests were raving about everything - you can't go wrong with any choice. Musket Ridge is a beautiful, well kept venue that is perfect and picturesque for weddings.

From there, we were turned over to Susie......Wow....no words to express Susie's professionalism, kindness, flexibility and love of her job as the event coordinator. Susie met with us several times throughout the planning process, making sure, each time, that things were just as we desired. Susie even decided she would work on the day of our daughter's wedding......the same date as her own wedding anniversary! There are just not enough words to describe and reiterate how well Susie and her team worked to assure that our daughter's wedding was perfect. From start to finish, everything was outstanding and exactly how we wanted things to be. From Sandy, who we met several times in visiting Musket Ridge, to Bev, who was our daughter's "day of" attendant......they did an outstanding job. The staff at Musket Ridge were absolutely amazing, and our day wouldn't have been complete without their unwavering commitment to us, throughout the entire process. Bonnie Swanson (Event Sales Manager) and Susie Chalk (Event Coordinator) are two people that every bride should want by their side, when planning their special day. From booking with Bonnie to working with Susie on every last detail, their professionalism and keen sense of wedding planning, made the entire process simply wonderful. We didn't have to worry about a thing, Susie and her staff knew exactly what to do and when to do it. beyond to help make sure our day was coordinated and flowed smoothly. If any minor hiccups arose, they were gracefully handled—usually without us knowing they even happened! All of the food we had at the venue during our tastings and wedding was delicious and the menu was very creative. The day of the wedding I had a bridal attendant (Bev) who helped make sure I was taken care of if I needed anything from a glass of water to setting aside some of the wonderful appetizers we selected for our guests. A definite plus is also the bridal attendant who is dedicated to the bride and groom, she made sure we ate and had drinks/anything else we needed throughout the night. The venue is beautiful, even in the rain (the rain plan is just as beautiful!), and Susie and her team made sure we were well taken care of throughout the entire process. The venue is absolutely beautiful, all the pictures I have seen look amazing, especially during the sunset. We received so many compliments on the venue and the food. We also had a bridal attendant who made the day go by so much easier. She was very attentive to get my husband and I more drinks and food, and even held my dad's cell phone for him before we walked down the aisle. I didn't need to worry about anything. The venue has done so many weddings, so they have everything down pact. I would also highly recommend their typical vendors who are very familiar with the venue. We had Shaun Campbell and Bill Izer for our photographer and DJ and they both did excellent jobs.

Amidst the excitement and craziness of the wedding day itself, Susie checked in with Brett and I often and kept our schedule on track. Our guests raved about how beautiful the ceremony location was, the service, the food, and how organized and effortless the whole event was. Despite a rainy day and a need to move to our second choice of a ceremony location, our day went off on schedule and just as we could have imagined. If you are looking for a wedding venue with a staff that will meet all of your needs (and exceed all of your expectations), a view for your ceremony unmatched by any in Maryland or Virginia, and a reception hall that without much effort will provide all the warmth and beauty you could ever ask for to celebrate your wedding with all of your friends and family then Catoctin Hall and the Musket Ridge Golf Club are the perfect choice. The views are breath-taking. All of the online pictures of married couples on their wedding day at Musket Ridge will come to life when you take your own there. Every photo turned out just as perfect as the ones I had hoped mine would look like at the venue.
Musket Ridge's service is unbeatable. The on-site wedding coordinator, Susie, worked tirelessly to make our day just as we envisioned. The food is absolutely delicious. It was the best venue I could have asked for- a dream come true!

atoctin Hall), the outside ceremony space (and their rain contingency plan), as well as Bonnie, the Event Sales Manager. I knew immediately I wanted to have my wedding here, so we signed the contract that weekend.
Overall, I was very happy with my experience with Musket Ridge. The food is PHENOMENAL. We were blown away at our tastings, and we received so many comments from our guests that the food was spectacular. As far as food goes, this place is first class.
The service we received during the wedding was also spectacular. The servers were attentive and no one waited for their food. Well done!
I give Musket Ridge 4 stars for flexibility as they were a little weak in this area. With certain items, including the bar, we were stonewalled. Our coordinator lacked hospitality and customer service, both of which are essential to this industry. This problem corrected itself with our wedding being transferred to another coordinator. The second coordinator (and Bonnie) were understanding to our needs, and we felt much more at ease with them.
By the time our third coordinator came around (yes, 3 coordinators) we were back in the same boat. Albeit not her fault, our third coordinator had to play a lot of catch-up, as this change happened just weeks before our wedding. I believe our wedding suffered a bit with the changes. Our last coordinator was also a bit unresponsive. Her schedule seemed sporadic; she wasn't in the office Monday-Wednesday, and was typically very busy Thursday-Sunday (go figure).
Overall, I recommend Musket Ridge! My only concerns were the high turnover of staff, and the lack of responsiveness and personable treatment from our third, and final, coordinator.

Chelsea our coordinator was quick to respond, knowledgable, organized and very helpful with my constant questions. She handled the entire rehearsal which was great because I had no idea. She handled almost everything on our wedding day including most decorations. I received glowing reviews on the food, signature cocktail and customer service from our guests. When we had our tasting, the food was good, we had a few critiques. But the day of, it was outstanding! The entire staff was very accommodating and helpful. onable in price. My reception had many features included that are normally "add-ons" for other venues. The view is breath taking and allows for so many different photo opportunities. The indoor space is quite large and can accomodate easily 200 people - even though I had a small wedding. There are great features including a fireplace & mantle (to place old family wedding photos), chivari chairs, an ample dance floor, large mirror, outdoor covered patio, large projector screen for videos or picture montages and so much more. I truly loved my venue and would highly recommend it to others!
