Best wedding band ever! Soul of Boston kept the dance floor absolutely full and rocking all night long! We have had nothing but raving reviews – so many guests telling us that they were the wedding best band they had ever heard! Apollo was such a pleasure to work with – he helped create a set list that made all age groups get out of their seats and stay dancing until the very last song! I cannot recommend Soul of Boston enough!

Our wedding was in July and we could not have been happier with Soul of Boston. Not only did we LOVE them, but we got so many comments from our friends/family sharing how much they loved the band. All of the band members are incredible musicians, and they brought such a great energy to our wedding. They were easy to work with and exceeded our expectations, playing such a wonderful mix of music that spanned the generations of everyone at our wedding. They really got the party/dance floor going! Apollo, the band leader, made sure that everything ran smoothly on the day-of. Soul of Boston are AWESOME!

Our wedding was last weekend and Soul of Boston absolutely crushed it. I cannot tell you how many people came up to me during the reception and said 'where did you find this band!' I would highly recommend. They were extremely professional and handled all our questions and gave us great guidance. They are true professionals! Shout out especially to Tanya and Apollo. Tanya was so great at coordinating everything we needed and Apollo is extremely talented at putting on a fantastic show!

Soul of Boston played at our private island wedding in August, 2019. As if the work of loading/unloading equipment on and off of barges to get set up on the island wasn't enough, they absolutely blew us and our guests away with their outstanding musical performance. A year and a half later, we are still receiving compliments about how fantastic our band was. They had everyone on the dance floor (even the people who I never thought I'd see dancing) and they sounded amazing. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a high-energy, engaging, and fabulous-sounding band!

We were unable to go see Soul of Boston before the wedding for a number of reasons, and having heard from other couples and general online advice that seeing your band live was key, I was a little bit nervous about it. However that all changed even before the day -one of the first things Apollo told us on the phone during our prep call was that him and the band would ensure we would have the absolute best night of our lives, and boy was he right! Our guests were a broad mix of nationalities, ages and backgrounds, and every single one of them was up and dancing - Soul of Boston did an amazing job finding the right mix of music based on our style preference but also their expertise of what will get a crowd going. I never even knew my uncle had such amazing moves!! If you're after a band which will truly ensure everyone has an amazing night, I cannot recommend Soul of Boston more

The Soul of Boston was the BEST. They made our reception AMAZING. They were fun, upbeat, and had the entire dance floor packed the entire night. They learned our songs for our first dances--it was beautiful. They even learned a fun twist on a song that my husband and his friends do back in Buffalo, NY. There was never a lull in the dancing -- everyone danced the entire night. They even stayed for two additional songs! They were dancing with us and had everyone engaged. After the wedding, everyone asked me about the band and raved about them. I love Soul of Boston and would recommend them to ANY BRIDE!

The band was one of the most important things to me and my fiance so we spent a lot of time going to venues to hear bands. When we saw Soul of Boston, I knew RIGHT AWAY -my feet were bopping to the music and the crowd loved them. I was very demanding about which songs I wanted performed and when - and they were so accommodating and also gave some really helpful suggestions. Apollo was fantastic to work with and I felt completely confident in how the night would go - and it really went so perfectly! People danced the entire time and everyone I spoke to praised the music! "Best dance party ever" was repeated numerous times :) Highly recommend - thanks for the most special night!

When my husband and I began planning our wedding we knew a key component for our special day would be having a great live band. We both love dancing and are big concert goers, so we knew it was a must! Fortunately, my husband’s mother clued us in on a band showcase that was happening on a Sunday in Boston and I was free to go. My husband was in New York so I went with my brother and his wife to check out all the bands playing that day. When Soul of Boston took the stage, our jaws hit the floor. Their talent, energy and presence was off the charts. Within five minutes of their set, I ran over to Gail who works with the group managing the company Soul of Boston is affiliated with, and asked if they were available on our wedding day and if they could pencil us in. The stars aligned, the band was available, and thankfully, my husband trusted me enough to book them sight unseen. Gail was helpful, kind and informative during the hiring process. She never made us feel rushed and was always very responsive to our questions. We were thankful to work with such a warm person on one of the most important pieces of our wedding. We worked with the band leader, Dave, on creating what a customized “soundtrack” for the wedding. Dave was patient, provided great feedback and flexibility on our music choices, and instilled so much confidence in us that we knew we were in for a real treat - and so were our guests! The trumpet and guitar players learned and played a few special songs we chose for our ceremony. It melted my heart hearing them. The band also learned to play our slightly obscure first dance song and they killed it! Once the reception began, the dance floor was packed. It stayed that way the entire night. Everyone says your wedding day is a blur, and it was, but I will never forget all the dancing, energy and permanent smiles on everyone’s faces the entire night. Each member of Soul of Boston is an incredible musician with so much range. They played everything from Motown to classic rock, funk to Ratpack tunes, while sprinkling in a few contemporary hits. You will not go wrong hiring this band for your wedding. My only warning to you and your wedding guests is that you’ll be very sore from all the dancing the next day, which is an excellent problem to have, if you ask me :)

Soul of Boston was AMAZING and made our wedding extra fun. Our guests keep asking how we found them... We worked with David from Hank Agency and he was fabulous, attentive, and just so kind and helpful. We knew after seeing Soul of Boston at the Hank Agency showcase that we wanted them to play at our wedding. We loved that they do oldies in addition to current music - the variety pleased guests of all age, and their song list was impressive. The vocalists are amazing and there is something enchanting about having a 9-person band play at your wedding! Dave Ellis, the band leader, was awesome and ensured our guests had a blast and the dance floor was full. He accommodated all our requests, including MP3s we wanted played during the band's intermission. They even provided the instrumentals for our ceremony processional and recessional. We could not be happier with our decision to choose Soul of Boston -it really made a huge difference!!

Soul of Boston is THE BEST. It's too bad there's a character limit on this review, because I could go on for pages about how wonderful this band is. We met Dave and Soul of Boston after working with Tania at the Hank Agency. The band was playing at an event in Connecticut, and we drove up to hear them play. The band sounded amazing on their website, but in person they are even better! We were blown away and went straight home and signed a contract for our wedding. Dave made everything really easy. He was very responsive to our emails, and we had a great chat with him ahead of our wedding. We had a bunch of requests for our wedding ceremony music, and he made sure that everything was in order for the big day. On the wedding day, Dave and Martin showed up early and got the reception room and ceremony sound all hooked up. Martin played classical music on the keyboard while our guests arrived, and he and Dave went through all of our requests for different music for the bridal party perfectly. We had a jazz duo at cocktail hour which created a great atmosphere. When it came time to do announcements, Dave was amazing and was so sweet working with the kids in our bridal party. The music for the reception was beyond incredible. I really don't think I have words to describe how wonderful it was. Soul of Boston has an amazing musical range, and covered everything from swing songs for our first dance/parent dances, to disco, to Bruno Mars and Beyonce. It was important for us to have a band where all of our wedding guests could dance the whole night long, and Soul of Boston was a perfect match. They also interacted with the wedding guests throughout the night, singing and dancing with everyone, and making it an incredible party. One thing that meant the world to me was the band learning my favorite version of La Vie En Rose (Louis Armstrong). This was the song that my father and I danced to, and the band's version was beautiful. There's something about that song with the trumpet and the lyrics that fit so perfectly, and I'll always remember that moment. Our family and friends haven't stopped talking about how much they loved Soul of Boston. They were phenomenal, they are insanely talented, and they're also all so nice. I got a chance to speak to most of the band members to thank them, and they're awesome people. To Dave and Soul of Boston: thank you for making our wedding day a perfect one. We really cannot tell you enough how much we appreciate everything you did for us. You guys are amazing!

They made our wedding. Simple as that. I seriously could not recommend another vendor higher. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH and our guests did too! We had MULTIPLE couples asking for their cards and whether they would travel to their respective destinations. First off - Tanya is a dream to work with. So organized and on top of everything. Secondly - DAVE and his team were BEYOND amazing. They interacted with the guests -- several of which came up and sang (including the bridal party); they even had an impromptu dance off. I love them. I wish words could describe how perfectly they made our night. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

We had our wedding at the end of September and we were thrilled to have Soul Of Boston! I had booked them through a recommendation of a friend, and I was very pleased at the result. We reviewed music that we enjoyed and they played our wedding song so well! Dave Ellis was my contact and he was very professional and accommodating. Our event manager at the venue also commented on how engaging and pleasant the group was - perhaps that is something that is not common enough!! They had a huge list of songs and it could fit any genre. They even had the groom get up on stage and sing the theme song to Fresh Prince!! Totally unexpected and very welcomed!! I would absolutely recommend this group to anyone who loves music and is ready for a fun night!!

Ridiculously amazing! It took us a long time to find a band for our wedding since we were only planning within 8 months. When we came across Soul of Boston (through the Hank Agency) we couldn't believe how amazing they sounded. Pamela, at the Hank Agency, was on top of her game providing answers to questions, and information all throughout the process. She connected us to Dave Ellis, the band leader, prior to the wedding. Dave is the coolest! We spoke a few times on the phone a few weeks before the wedding to get a gauge on what we were hoping to hear throughout the night. I told him I wanted a mix of current and oldies, to cater to the entire crowd. He did just that and the dance floor was bumping all night long. He was awesome, calming and on top of his game the entire night. We were so lucky to have them at our wedding and we would recommend them to anyone looking to get married and use a band. They rocked!!!!

We found Soul of Boston through a wedding band showcase put on by the Hank Agency. They are an 8 piece band an play a variety of music. We were so happy to have them play for our wedding. We had so many compliments and they made our wedding a great party. They even learned 2 songs for us for our parent dances that turned out very well.
