ould we book past February (so a winter Friday wedding, which is one of the cheapest dates aside from a summer friday). However, many brides were postponing or just planning to have their wedding after covid, so spring Saturday’s at the ivory oak in 2021 were mostly free even up to the actual date of the wedding. Much of our family and close friends couldn’t make it because it was a Friday, which is very sad as a bride. It’s supposed to be the most important and happiest day of your life, but then people in your bridal party or family cannot get off work (which is why you picked a Saturday in the first place). However, we do appreciate that they eventually gave us money back on our bar count after they originally told us they wouldn’t (our final guest count was almost 100 less than originally paid for). The venue is beautiful but gets very expensive very quickly because of their list of approved vendors and the fact that they provide the bar services. Kellye was very kind and communicative.

Through efficient email and phone communication, Kellye tailored the venue to suit our very specific needs! Even in a torrential downpour, Kellye gave us a personal tour around the grounds and used her creativity to help us brainstorm ways to navigate a COVID wedding and create our perfect wedding day. On the day of, Kellye was on site to answer questions and provide support. She went above and beyond to make sure the venue exceeded our expectations, and it sure did!  The beautiful venue was just the tip of the iceberg, but the commitment and customer service of Kellye and The Ivory Oak blew us away. We could not be happier with our special little covid wedding, all thanks to The Ivory Oak!

! Kellye, at the Ivory Oak, was wonderful! She made sure we were informed from the very beginning. When we had some issues with our Wedding Coordinator, she got involved and helped us to resolve the issue. I cannot say enough nice things about Kellye and her team. They know exactly what they're doing and any bride is in great hands! The venue itself is gorgeous. However, they have even the smallest details worked out. The Bridal Suite is fully stocked the morning of the wedding just in case you run into any issues. The men are kept far away. The caterers they use know exactly what they're doing! The Ivory Oak should be a frontrunner in any planning you may be considering!

ak trees. The ceremony was early but the chairs were shaded and there was a nice breeze so we were all very comfortable. The cocktail hour was such a treat! There is a building close to the ceremony site that has large doors that roll up so we were able to move inside and out and still enjoy the music playing inside and see what was happening across the property. The built in bar was very convenient and the staff serving us were amazing! Dinner and dancing was in a large building also close to the ceremony and cocktail space. This was breathtaking. The all white venue was the perfect backdrop for my cousin's garden theme wedding. We had no idea this venue was tucked away in the hill country! We made a weekend of it and enjoyed the sweet little town. Hotel Flora and Fauna is a must. We can't wait to go back and visit!

ke it. I love how spread out everything was; it was really easy for my husband and I to not see each other before the ceremony. Most venues I looked at did not have a spacious grooms suite, but you can tell that they really thought this venue out because the guys had just as much room as the girls! It is always nice when your staff can reassure you that if it rains there is a back up rain plan included. The staff was very attentive to every detail throughout my initial tour and the whole planning process. I felt like I was a little overbearing with all of my emails and questions and they never once made me feel like I was bothering them. Their communication, staff, and vendor list was SPOT on. I can't WAIT for my pictures so I can keep reliving this day over and over again!

graphs so beautifully! Another great thing about this venue is that they care so much about their clients and you could even tell just by the bride and grooms suite accommodations. During a pandemic you would think someone would be hesitant to have a wedding, but they actually make their couples feel calm and at peace with everything going on and they are up to date with all of their information and relaying it to their staff and clients. You really have the ability to spread out and social distance here. The staff is absolutely incredible; you can tell that they have been in the industry long enough to know what they are doing. Every single recommendation and vendor that they give you is SPOT ON! You can tell that they really spend their time building a great vendor list for their couples to choose from. If you're on the fence about Ivory Oak or another venue, you have to pick Ivory Oak! They are one of the bests in the industry.

tween venue staff and catering service staff. Our major issues were centered around the RM Events management and the confusion of whether they spoke as the venue or RME. TIO Events Director was the only one who could approve outside caterers or we were required to use RME. RME was the only service staff vendor approved and owned by the Events Director. It was confusing and frustrating to know if staff were wearing their RME hat or TIO hat – often the person was dual-hatted. RME determined the number of staff required based on the number of guests, providing set-up, clean-up, & food service. After we pushed back numerous times on the numbers required, they simply stopped communicating with us! Finally 3 days shy of the wedding, the RME owner said they were uncomfortable servicing our event if we did not agree to their numbers, so they gave us permission to hire another service catering company! We had to compromise and agree with their numbers. RME told us repeatedly that they had the exclusive service contract and our staff could not provide these services. Also, that chairs/tables were removed for cleaning in between each event. This would have been ideal, as we needed cleared space to install draperies. We discussed this with both TIO & RME. However when we arrived, tables/chairs were still in place & had not been cleaned. Numerous spots on the floor & tables still had sticky food residue. We got permission to move tables/chairs since RME had not yet arrived – a huge irritant as we did not bring the staff to do this. Major confusion because TIO coordinator was acting as the supervisor for the RME service staff. Our food caterer had to show the RME staff how to serve the food; luckily he was a guest. This was so frustrating! We were told the food servers were experienced; at $30/hour/individual, this was unacceptable. Finally, the bar fees were harsh! Yes, we knew the fee was $6.50/adult/hour, whether they drank zero drinks or 20. As this was the only option if you wanted a bar, we had no other choice. TIO refused to adjust our final bar invoice when we asked about “no shows”. We had an unexpected number of guests not show, evidenced by the empty seats and head counts done by TIO staff. Their response was to compare it to asking for a reimbursement from the food caterer. However, the difference between the two is obvious – the food caterer still provided us with all the food that we paid for, TIO did not. Overall, our experience at The Ivory Oak was unsatisfactory. The staff was subpar in communicating with us and each other. Kellye was the exception to this; once she took over the communication, things were much better. Although RME is not part of TIO, the two entities were so intertwined we often could not determine which entity we were dealing with. Additionally, as RME was the only service catering company allowed, we felt TIO was responsible for their actions. We would not and do not recommend this venue. Don’t be deceived by steep discounts offered – they catch up with you through fees for unexpected services (grounds manager), exorbitant bar fees, and outrageous service staff requirements. Working with the staff left a bitter aftertaste.

made the ceremony cool and breezy, and the oak trees provide the most beautiful backdrop. The venue's beauty speaks for itself, and the team there is wonderful and easy to work with. There are so many great photo spot opportunities all throughout the grounds, and the bridal cottage is so cute and has a lot of space to get ready during the day. You do have to buy alcohol through the venue, so that is something to consider, but the His and Hers cocktails we had were a huge hit with our guests. I absolutely recommend checking out the Ivory Oak if you want a Hill Country wedding!

We were initially planning on having the ceremony outside and the reception inside, but due to Covid, had to make a flip and Kellye made sure that was an easy process and provided all the information we needed to get that done. The venue also had safety protocols in place to make guests feel safe on the day of the wedding, which helped everyone feel more comfortable and like they could really enjoy themselves. I received so many compliments on how stunning the venue was from everyone I talked to throughout the day, including our hair and makeup team, to the guests at the wedding. We couldn't have had a better ceremony at the grand oak and reception under the stars.

y and reception. Alisha and Kellye were very responsive and assisted us in the rescheduling process after we had to move our wedding (originally set for April 4th) due to the pandemic. They were willing to work with us to implement enhanced precautions to help our guests feel safe and were accommodating when we reduced our headcount significantly and move the wedding outdoors for safety. Even through the Texas summer the Ivory Oak team kept the grounds as lovely as they were when we first walked the venue! Between the bridal cabin, the groom’s suite, the cellar building, the main hall, and the grounds we had everything we needed for a perfect wedding day at the Ivory Oak, and would be happy to recommend it to future couples!

The amount of professionalism, organization, and accommodations that were presented by Kellye and her staff was above and beyond. They also had many safety protocols in place that made us, and our guests feel safe leading up to and on the day-of the wedding. The grounds are so gorgeous! The bridal suite is so chic, and the groomsmen loved their suite as well. Everything was absolutely perfect!

to the venue, the property allowed our guests to roam around and our photographers to get the most amazing pictures. My bridal party & I got ready in the bridal suite, which had complimentary champagne and beverages (it fit 10+ people perfectly). My husband was able to hang out with his groomsmen in the grooms suite & it was fully stocked with activities, beers and snacks! We got married outside under the the trees and for it being the dead heat of a TX summer, it didn't feel like it since there was a nice breeze. For the ceremony, we used the main reception space and didn't need to spend an arm and leg on decorations because of how beautiful the space was! Aside from the beauty of the venue, the staff was amazing! They helped us every step of the way and were super great when it came to my million questions leading up to the big day. All in all, I had the most magical day; 10/10 would recommend!!

They were extremely accommodating, followed all guidelines and made it possible for us to have a smaller, more intimate wedding. The Ivory Oak was a beautiful place to have our ceremony and reception. Everyone was very helpful every step of the way. It was not hard to get ahold of someone and to get questions answered. All of the guests commented on how beautiful it was. I am glad we chose the Ivory Oak to share in our special day.

<3 We could not have chosen a better venue! There are so many options to have your ceremony which was awesome! We wanted our wedding to have a backyard feel and the big trees at the venue made it perfect for it! We didn't have to rent a bunch of other things to make the ceremony look beautiful either which was big for us too! Petals on the aisle and that was it for us and it was just absolutely perfect!! My biggest fear was having a venue that was too big. Even though the venue can hold a lot of guests, we were able to place the tables in the reception hall perfectly to fill it out for less than 100 guests!! Seriously, GET MARRIED HERE! We cannot wait to go back on our anniversary and relive our memories! :) Thank you to The Ivory Oak team for making our day absolutely perfect!

Our ceremony was outdoors, cocktail hour in the smaller building, and reception in the main hall. The bridal cottage is incredible and was perfect to spend the day in and grooms suite was great for the guys. The Ivory Oak made our day perfect and we would highly recommend this venue.

at the Ivory Oak was every bit professional as they were pleasant. The pictures speak for themselves, and the experience was everything we could have hoped for. We would definitely recommend renting motor coach buses for your guests as it is a drive from Austin, our guests appreciated this gesture and also ensured there was no drinking and driving risks. We had a beautiful outside ceremony in December and if we could do this all over again (we wish) we would have it at Ivory Oak every time. We highly recommend them and know your experience will be as great as ours!

ection and the trees make it feel like a fairytale. The grounds are just absolutely gorgeous, and 1000% a photographer's dream. We had a smaller guest count so the space worked out perfectly. The entire team was incredible to work with, I cannot say enough good things about them! They were so helpful throughout the entire process and we truly worked together as a team. Yes cell service isn't great out there, but when you're already together with the ones you love, you don't need it (unless you're trying to call a Lyft or Uber). Being slightly off the grid was not an issue for us at all. We will absolutely recommend The Ivory Oak to everyone we know. I wish we could get married again just to host it here again! The bartending services through the venue were fantastic as well. Everything was top notch! Thank you the entire staff!

After stepping foot on the venue grounds, we knew this is where we wanted to get married. We were also pleased with the bar service. We were able to customize a beer, wine, and margarita bar! :) Our only issue was with the management and staffing side of the venue. The management is constantly changing and you never know who you need to contact. We felt very confused at times about what needed to be done or who we were getting emails from. Although we loved the look and feel of the venue, we felt frustrated at times about how complicated the planning process was due to the constantly changing management.

They were also able to wonder about the campus during the whole night, visiting the multiple seating areas, making s'mores at the fire pit, and kids playing under the trees. When the dance music came on, the young people hit the dance floor and the older folks were able to step outside and converse. The multiple spaces also allows for flexible weather plans, which was a huge draw for us, as we had a November wedding and knew it could be cold. Many venues only have one space, which could make for less than desirable bad weather plan. But Ivory Oak has it all. Did I mention the Bridal Suite? It is nestled up on a hill and was a great place for us to get ready. The groomsmen also enjoyed their space. Communication with the staff was a little confusing as we got emails from many different people, but weren't sure why or what their different positions were. But they were very friendly and responded to the MANY emails and questions I had. All in all, a great experience and I am so thankful for this venue.
