These ‘Fifty Shades Darker’–Themed Wedding Photos Bring the Heat (Tastefully)
Just when you thought anything to do with E. L. James’s Fifty Shades Trilogy was #NSFW—boom—we’re here to blur the lines between elegant and steamy with this styled shoot based on the erotic series. An imaginative team of wedding pros pulled inspiration from the trilogy’s seductive opulence and romantic drama to create an all-out luxe photo shoot that’s heavy on the passion. Accents like acrylic and metallic stationery, a gray ombré cake, ruby blooms and black lace turned the vision into reality.
(Spoiler alert:) “This shoot was inspired by what newly engaged Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele’s wedding would look like,” says photographer Knesia Pro, who shot the chic, moody scene. “The collaboration between talented vendors was carefully selected by Yodit Gebreyes of Favored by Yodit Events to showcase a mix of modern, sultry touches meets chic city luxury for a stylish yet simple bride.”
“Our goal was to create a real wedding featuring the various rich gray and silver tones from the title, combined with black and red touches to convey the deep passion of a hip, city-loving couple,” creative director Gebreyes says. So even if you’re not into having a fully themed wedding and saving the whole Fifty Shades situation for the honeymoon, you can still steal gorgeous fashion and décor inspo from this sexy, modern shoot.
