Designer Jenny Yoo Signature Style
Feminine, understated, soft and effortless are the key style notes that have come to define Jenny Yoo bridal gowns. Her designs are all about a modern take on traditional wedding fashion, with bridal and bridesmaid gowns that feel timelessly romantic yet unafraid to embrace the current trends. One of the signature elements of a Jenny Yoo dress is the versatility her understated designs typically offer. She’s known for bridesmaid dresses with convertible straps and sleeves, as well as wedding gowns that appeal to lots of different wedding styles.
A Brief History of Wedding Dress Designer Jenny Yoo
What began as a small operation out of her New York City apartment grew into a wildly successful label thanks to Jenny Yoo’s chic and stylish approach to wedding fashion. After earning a degree from Parsons School of Design and working as an associate designer for Ann Taylor, Yoo made a shift into bridalwear when she noticed a major gap in the market. Yoo was asked to be a bridesmaid in her best friend’s wedding and found herself increasingly disappointed with the limited bridesmaid dress options. She was inspired to start her own label and went on to launch her first bridesmaid dress collection in 2002.
Since her initial venture into the bridal fashion industry, the Jenny Yoo brand has grown significantly to include multiple labels of Jenny Yoo wedding dresses, all of which are sold at the brand’s flagship salons in New York and Chicago, in addition to online retailers, including Nordstrom and BHLDN.
Other Jenny Yoo Labels
The Jenny Yoo brand prides itself on offering chic designs for the bride, bridesmaid, and everyone in between, with multiple labels to suit every style and budget. Jenny Yoo wedding dresses 2020 are available under the three distinct labels, including Jenny Yoo Collection, Jenny by Jenny Yoo, and Lovely X Jenny Yoo. The designer’s namesake bridal collections embody the modern and feminine style featured in her bridesmaid dresses, while the Jenny by Jenny Yoo label delivers that style at a more accessible price point. The latest addition to the brand’s bridalwear collections, Lovely X Jenny Yoo, is a collaboration with Lovely Bride for a collection of seven dresses available exclusively at Lovely Bride locations.
In addition to Jenny Yoo wedding dresses, the designer is known as one of the leading bridesmaid dress designers that have been worn by many Hollywood A-listers. Jenny Yoo bridesmaid dresses are available in a wide variety of colors and fabrics, along with the brand’s expansion into flower girl dresses, separates, robes and set, lingerie, and accessories.
