1. Debbie Wingham Runway Show Cake: $74 Million
One of the most expensive wedding cakes ever made was created by British designer Debbie Wingham for an anonymous buyer in the United Arab Emirates. Created for an engagement party that also doubled as a birthday party for the bride, the cake features a runway show with a six-foot-long runway and sculpted figurines depicting the runway show guests. Weighing at 1,000 pounds, this sizable cake didn't get such a hefty price from the amount of flour used. Instead, the cake was covered in 4,000 real diamonds, including a 5.2-carat pink diamond, a 6.4-carat yellow diamond and 15 five-carat diamonds.
2. National Gay Wedding Show Cake: $52.7 Million
In honor of the National Gay Wedding Show in 2013, a cake was made in Chester, England that was priced at a whopping $52.7 million. The eight-tiered confection was given a high price tag thanks to the diamonds used to decorate the otherwise simple white cake.
3. Luxury Bridal Show Cake: $20 Million
A wedding cake made for a luxury bridal show would likely have a large price but this one takes the cake. At the Beverly Hills Luxury 2006 Bridal Show, a cake was created by Nahid Parsa of La Patisserie Artistique with a cost of $20 million. The nine-tier cake was brushed with gold flakes on the bottom and also had large diamonds that studded the pastry from top to bottom.

Kate Middleton and Prince William had one of the biggest weddings of the 21st century with their grand nuptials on April 29, 2011. Baker Fiona Cairns crafted an eight-tier confection that followed British royal tradition by filling the interior with fruit cake. The expensive wedding cake wasn't easy for royal staff to transport either. The large cake was reported to weigh 220 pounds. The pastry was adorned with more than 900 frosted details, including the couple's initials, the national flowers of England and other architectural elements.

Designed by Edda's Cake Designs in South Florida, the four-tier cake was embellished with 8,000 handmade sugar flowers and over 2,500 Swarovski crystals to resemble a grand chandelier for their diamonds and crystals wedding theme. Mane ended up cutting into the extravagant wedding cake with a sword since it was such a large confection. The pricey pastry was made with red velvet, amaretto, carrot, banana nuts and Jamaican rum flavors.
