Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez got married at Sea Crest Nursery in Santa Barbara, California, which was long rumored to be their setting of choice. Aerial paparazzi photos revealed that the couple tented the entire ceremony space to protect their privacy. The groom shared a photo of their ring bearer laying down on the altar, which was decorated with layered red and gold rugs and clusters of autumnal flowers. Their reception space was illuminated with a ceiling of romantic string lights, and a cozy seating area offered more space for guests to mingle off the dance floor.

One thing we do know is that Gomez's grandfather walked her down the aisle. Her mother, Mandy Teefey, reposted the couple's wedding photos and shared a brief reflection from the day. "What a perfect celebration for the most kick ass couple I know! The evening couldn't have been more beautiful and perfect! Absolutely flawless," the mother of the bride wrote on Instagram. "All my love to my beautiful daughter @selenagomez and to the greatest son in law @itsbennyblanco!!! It was a fairytale come true and it was beyond heartwarming watching my father walk her down the aisle!!!"
The Couple Skipped a First Dance
Another fun fact we learned about Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's wedding is that they weren't afraid to challenge tradition. During an appearance on the podcast Table Manners with Jessie & Lennie Ware in April 2025, the bride-to-be addressed her choice to skip the first dance at the reception. "I don't think we're looking at having one of those 'cause they're a little—I feel embarrassed," Gomez said.
Gomez also said she was looking forward to participating in the hora, a traditional Jewish dance where guests lift the newlyweds into the air on chairs, before adding that she would have proper padding on the floor in case things got a little rowdy. "I am very nervous about that," she said. "I have to be honest, it looks so cute and adorable. But I was like, 'What, I have to depend on something like this?'"
Their Catering May Inspire New Wedding Food Trends
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's wedding food could inspire a new wave of catering trends. For starters, the to-be-weds are major foodies: Gomez hosts her own cooking show, Selena + Chef on HBO, and Blanco released a cookbook, Open Wide: A Cookbook for Friends, in 2024. Plus, when the music producer popped the question in 2024, he did so after setting up a lavish Taco Bell picnic in their backyard. (The special moment even included a bathtub full of queso.) Thanks to photos shared by their wedding planner, Mindy Weiss, we know that they served guests their favorite dishes (like seafood, vegetarian and lamb curry) and had a food stand branded with their names.
Before the wedding, Gomez also hinted at how she would modernize the classic wedding cake tradition. "I do know I don't want a big cake," Gomez said during a Q+A on Rare Beauty's TikTok page. "I think I'd want a mini one, for just us, that we can freeze." One thing she did say, though, is that her "dream dessert" would be biscuits and gravy. Her wish came to fruition: The newlwyeds had just one small heart-shaped confection with "Just Married' written in black frosting script, decorated with a classic bride and groom cake topper.
Another snack they were looking forward to was challah made by chef and author Jake Cohen. In fact, that was one of Blanco's non-negotiables for the entire wedding. "The only thing I've said straight up, as a part of the food, is that I want Jake [Cohen] to do the challah," Blanco said on Table Manners with Jessie & Lennie Ware. "That's all I care about. He makes the best challah I've ever had."
Michelin Star chef Wolfgang Puck provided the catering. On September 28, one day after the wedding, he shared a photo taken with the couple while they were planning. "With Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco in the kitchen at Spago, tasting dishes for their wedding dinner," he wrote.
