Demi Lovato's wedding to Jordan Lutes took place on May 25, 2025, in Santa Barbara, California. Lovato wore a custom Vivienne Westwood dress for the big day, and according to Vogue, it took five fittings to bring the masterpiece to life. "When I was thinking about [what dress style I wanted] I often found myself coming back to Vivienne's designs—specifically how the silhouettes really compliment the curves in your body, and her use of corsets," Lovato told the outlet. "We were not only able to work off that [initial] inspiration, but we added touches that really make this dress so special to me."
Inspired by "high society women of the 18th century," Demi Lovato's wedding dress featured a romantic off-the-shoulder neckline, a cinched waist and a draped detail on the skirt (one of the biggest trends our editors spotted at Bridal Fashion Week this year). Noting that she was highly involved in the design process, Lovato said, "I love everything about the dress."

Lovato's bridesmaids looked elegant in black gowns by Birdy Grey; Lutes wore a Saint Laurent suit while his groomsmen opted for monochromatic black ensembles as well. The ceremony, which was officiated by a close friend, was "full of love" according to the bride. "It was as if each and every person at the wedding was a part of a big family all celebrating with us," she told Vogue. "Looking into each other's eyes, all I was thinking was how lucky we are to spend this lifetime with each other." In a non-traditional move, the couple played a round of Rock Paper Scissors to determine the order of their vows. "We tied at first, and then Jordan won, so I went first," Lovato recalled.

After walking back up the aisle, the newlyweds were intentional about taking a few moments together to bask in the emotions of their milestone. "We wanted to soak in that we were officially husband and wife and then joined our guests for dinner and lots of dancing," Lovato said. "I feel ready to start our lives together. And I have to say that there is not one single thing I would have changed about the wedding."
After the ceremony, which was planned by industry maven Mindy Weiss, Lovato changed into a second Vivienne Westwood look. "There was so much attention to detail on the reception dress beading," Lovato said of the second look. "The pearl detail and draping is such a special element, and each strand was draped and attached by hand, one by one. It's a one-of-a-kind piece that makes me feel so special."
The couple shared an extra-special first dance: Johnny Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls performed the band's hit "Iris," which Lovato called "surreal." "This was a pinch-us moment," she said. "It's our favorite song and has so much meaning to both of us." Later, after Lovato changed into an Idan Cohen mini dress reminiscent of her original gown, Paris Hilton took over as DJ for a few songs while the party raged on. As the evening came to a close, the newlyweds exited beneath a sparkler tunnel and drove off in a vintage white Cadillac.

People was the first to report that Demi Lovato's engagement ring is a pear-cut diamond on a simple band by Material Good, a luxury jeweler based in New York City. According to Olivia Landau, founder of The Clear Cut, the solitaire appears to be sizable both in value and carat weight. "Demi Lovato's engagement ring looks to be around a 4- or 5-carat pear in a cathedral-style solitaire setting," she tells The Knot. "If her diamond is natural, it could range anywhere from $80,000 to $250,000, depending on exact quality."
She continues, "We've seen many clients gravitate to pear-shaped diamonds because they look very large for their carat weight and are finger-flattering." Given the rising trend of oval-cut diamonds, she adds that pears are a great option for those who want something a little different.
