Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid Welcome Their Baby Girl: See The First Photos

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are officially parents. The supermodel, 25, and former One Direction member, 27, announced on Instagram that they welcomed their baby girl last weekend. "Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she's already changed our world," Hadid captioned a black-and-white photo of their baby's hand. "So in love."

Malik shared a similar photo with an emotional message. "Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful," he wrote. "To try [to] put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together x"

Days earlier, Hadid shared a collection of photos from earlier in her pregnancy. "From about 27 wks," she wrote. "Time flew."

TMZ first broke the news of the couple's pregnancy on April 28. "Gigi is pregnant and she and Zayn are so in love," a source told Us Weekly, which also confirmed the pregnancy announcement. "She's always wanted to start a family with Zayn."

The on-again, off-again couple has been a hot item since they started dating in 2015. They split in March 2018, but reconciled in early January 2020, after working through a series of issues.

Just before news of her pregnancy surfaced, Hadid celebrated her 25th birthday and revealed all the inside festivities—a highlight including an actual cake from a certified wedding pro, the "Cake Boss" himself: Buddy Valastro. She shared a sweet Boomerang of herself with Malik, 27, and her sister underneath a canopy of balloons. The birthday girl and soon-to-be mom posted a follow-up slideshow, including one particular image of Malik giving her the biggest hug on the deck.

"Had the sweetest day celebrating my 25th birthday with my quarantine family, who made it so special for me, along with all the love I felt from all over the world!" Hadid expressed on Instagram. "Thank you to everyone for the birthday messages, I carried you with me yesterday!! 💛🙏 I am grateful and lucky that my family and friends -near and far- are healthy and safe, and although I missed loved ones I wish I could have celebrated with, know that these times will make us even more grateful for togetherness to be had in the future ! I will never forget my 25th bday!"

The couple joins a slew of celebrities who are currently expecting or first-time parents, including Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, and Ashley Tisdale and Christopher French.
