Ever since he broke onto the entertainment scene in 2005, Joe Jonas has been one of the defining heartthrobs of our generation. (That is, at least, according to this celebrity news editor, who had quite a few posters of him lining the walls of her childhood bedroom.) As with his brothers, Nick and Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas' dating history has long been a subject of public fascination. Not only did he get tangled up with a few of his fellow Disney Channel stars, like Demi Lovato and AJ Michalka, his romance with Taylor Swift supplied material for multiple chart-topping hits. He is Mr. Perfectly Fine, after all.

Joe Jonas' marriage to actress Sophie Turner was one of his most defining public relationships. They've since divorced, though, the singer's relationship status is back as a hot topic of conversation, especially amid the release of the Jonas Brothers' latest album, Greetings From Your Hometown. Here, we take a deep dive into Joe Jonas' dating history, breaking down every single public relationship he's had over the years, including what we know about his current love life.

In this article:

Who is Joe Jonas Dating?

At the moment, Joe Jonas isn't dating anyone. His most recent girlfriend was model Stormi Bree, who he was briefly linked to in the beginning of 2024. He was spotted with a woman in New York City in May 2025, but there's been no confirmation of her identity…or the nature of their relationship.

Joe Jonas' Relationship History

Joe Jonas may have gone to the Year 3000, but we're going back to 2005, aka the start of his career in the public eye. The middle Jonas' first girlfriend actually served as the inspiration for one of the songs on their debut album, It's About Time. After that, he went on to date A-listers like Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato and Sophie Turner. Look back on all of Joe Jonas' girlfriends here, starting with his most recent relationship.

Has Joe Jonas dated since his divorce with Sophie Turner? The answer is yes. The pop crooner was most recently linked to model Stormi Bree. The two were photographed celebrating New Year's Eve in 2024 on vacation in Cabo San Lucas. Bree quickly warmed up to the extended Jonas family too, as evidenced by a series of Instagram posts shared the following month. Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra posted photos of their daughter, Malti, enjoying her first hike. On her own Instagram Story, Bree shared a photo of her six-year-old daughter holding hands with Malti on the same nature trail. Alas, things between Jonas and Bree fizzled quickly, as various outlets reported that the pair called it quits in May of that year.

Joe Jonas and his former wife, Sophie Turner, were married for four years. They began dating in 2016 after Jonas slid into the Game of Thrones star's DMs, and they went on to have two of the most iconic celebrity weddings of all time. After exchanging vows in Las Vegas in May 2019, they hosted a formal ceremony in the South of France one month later. Turner and Jonas went on to welcome two daughters together, Willa and Delphine, before announcing their divorce in 2023, sharing on Instagram, "After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage." Throughout their relationship, Turner served as the inspiration for a handful of Jonas Brothers songs, including "Sucker" and "Hesitate."

Although Joe Jonas and Gigi Hadid began dating in 2015, they go way, way back. The super model told ET that the singer actually asked her on a date in 2008. "We met at the Grammys when I was 13 years old," she told the outlet. "And he asked me to a baseball game, and I said, 'No.'" She changed her mind a few years later, though, and the pair was seen attending events like the US Open and Paris Fashion Week throughout the summer of 2015. Hadid even co-directed DNCE's music video for "Cake by the Ocean." "She had a megaphone. She was a badass," Jonas told People of the experience. "Everybody really looked up to her to lead and she really came through and showed us that she could do it." Although they made their red carpet debut as a couple in October, they had an amicable split the following month.

Joe Jonas dated Swiss model and artist Blanda Eggenschwiler from November 2012 to August 2014. While the couple did sit front row at a New York Fashion Week event together, this relationship was rather low-key compared to some of his others. They parted ways after two years, which Jonas' rep confirmed to Us Weekly: "Joe and Blanda have mutually decided to part ways. The split was amicable and the two remain friends, with great respect for one another."

Ashley Greene

Remember this Twilight crossover? Joe Jonas' relationship with actress Ashley Greene lasted for just under a year. They began dating in summer 2010, with a source telling People that Jonas was "head over heels" for his girlfriend. Although they split in 2011, Jonas opened up about the relationship in an interview with Vulture two years later. "When I was 20, I started dating Ashley Greene, and she was my first serious relationship," he recalled. "We were together for almost a year. I was living out in LA by myself, and at the end of the day, long distance didn't work. It's incredibly difficult...After Ashley, I took two or three years to just be single."

Demi Lovato

Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato stole hearts as Shane Gray on Mitchie Torres in the Disney Channel original movie Camp Rock, and much to fans' delight, their on-screen relationship turned into a real-life romance. They remained friends while filming the first installment in 2008, but ultimately confirmed their relationship after the premiere of Camp Rock 2 in 2010. "He's my best friend and he's incredible," Lovato told Access Hollywood. "He's a complete gentleman, he takes me to the most amazing places… he's perfect!"

Unfortunately, the celebs called it quits just two months later. Not to worry, though: The former Disney stars have remained close friends over the years. In August 2025, Lovato joined the Jonas Brothers for the kickoff of their 20th anniversary tour, where she and Joe sang two Camp Rock songs (thus sending all former Disney kids into a spiral…but a good one, of course).

Camilla Belle

If you religiously watched the "Lovebug" music video in 2008, you might recall feeling jealous of Camilla Belle, the actress who starred opposite the brothers. While she and Joe never officially confirmed their relationship themselves, they were photographed out together multiple times that summer. Things ended the following year, with Belle's rep telling People, "Yes, it's true, they have broken up. There is no third party involved and they care deeply about each other and will remain friends."

Taylor Swift

When it comes to all of Joe Jonas' relationships, this one may have the most pop culture significance. He dated Taylor Swift for four months in 2008, and although their fling was rather short, their contentious breakup went on to inspire a few of her songs, including "Forever & Always" and "Mr. Perfectly Fine." Swift addressed the nature of their split during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, saying, "When I find that person that is right for me, he'll be wonderful and when I look at that person, I'm not even gonna be able to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18."

The two rekindled their relationship over the years, and Swift struck up a close friendship with Jonas' ex-wife Sophie Turner. She walked back on her original statement during another Ellen appearance in 2019, saying, "We laugh about it now, but that was mouthy… just some teenage stuff there." Jonas accepted her apology, telling ITV, "We're all friends. It's all good. We were so young." Swift alluded to their friendship in the folklore track "Invisible String," writing, "Cold was the steel of my axe to grind / For the boys who broke my heart / Now I send their babies presents."

AJ Michalka

After they released their first album, the Jonas Brothers joined fellow Disney stars Aly and AJ Michalka as the opening act on their 2006 tour. Joe and AJ started dating while on the road, which she opened up about during an appearance on Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast in 2025. "The Jonas Brothers opened for us, and that's when we started—like, there was a spark. I was like, 'Oh, this would be fun.' We started dating on that." Aly interjected, saying, "I mean for a young relationship, like over a year is pretty good. That's pretty solid."

It was also long believed that Joe was AJ's first kiss, a fun fact that she confirmed during the same episode. "Yes, that is true. In a bowling alley," she told Cooper. "It was so innocent. It was sweet."

Mandy Van Duyne

Who was Joe Jonas' first girlfriend? That would be none other than Mandy Van Duyne, the lucky lady who inspired the song "Mandy" on their first album, It's About Time. Not much is known about Van Duyne, other than the fact that she was a family friend. "Mandy is our childhood friend that has always been a part of our lives," the brothers told AOL. "She dated Joe at one point. Although they are no longer together, they will be best friends forever."
