The caterers could not stop talking about how much they loved working with Allen Hill as well. All of our guests couldn't compliment the venue enough and we're just hoping we get to go back one day to a wedding there and experience it as guests! We cant wait to visit soon to pick out our Christmas tree!

So many of our guests asked us "How did you find this place!?, its beautiful" Aimee was great communicating with us throughout the entire process and truly worked to make our experience special. It is clear to see how passionate Aimee is about her work, and how much love she puts into her barn. Even the day after the wedding, Aimee was so flexible with us in picking up our decorations and left over food. I could not have pictured our wedding anywhere else. Would HIGHLY recommend Allen Hill Farm.

tside and inside are both amazingly beautiful. My guests couldn't believe how beautiful everything was! You will have to find all your own vendors, however Aimee does provide a great list of ones she recommends. I 100% recommend to pick this venue!

are everything we could have asked for. The open grassy area was perfect for our outdoor ceremony and the rock (the rock!!!) was such a dream backdrop. The barn provided the perfect setting for our big family reception. We loved utilizing the loft for our friends and keeping our older family and relatives on the ground floor. Our DJ loved the lofted DJ booth as well! Aimee was so helpful throughout the entire process and gave us a lot of freedom to use the property (respectfully!) as needed.

Aimee Anderson and her family own the barn and she helped to coordinate our day and make it perfect! We took all of her recommendations for vendors and our day was flawless! Our guests can't stop talking about how beautiful the barn and grounds were and we were so thankful to have so many different backdrops for pictures! The barn is decorated beautifully with rustic string lights that create the prefect romantic ambiance. There is an apple orchard on one side next to a long dirt road, and a gigantic rock that we climbed up and our pictures look like we're standing on top of a mountain! There is also a fire pit where our family could enjoy s'mores after dinner and a large green grassy area that we set up yard games for cocktail hour! Aimee and Allen Hill create the perfect environment for a relaxed, romantic wedding where our guests felt at home and comfortable to let loose and dance all night! We can't thank Aimee enough for having us at Allen Hill!! It was absolutely perfect!!

ice our first dance. Not to mention, the location and barn itself are stunning. While rustic, the barn has fresh paint and beautiful wood throughout. The dance floor easily accommodated our guests and there is plenty of space for decorations, dessert tables, guest tables, etc. The barn sits on a hill overlooking the CT landscape and it is surrounded by beautiful Christmas trees and a gorgeous orchard. While it rained on our wedding day, we had no hesitation to have the wedding indoors given how beautiful it is. Between working with Aimee, the landscape, and the barn itself, Allen Hill makes a wonderful wedding venue.

nice, and extremely helpful. Bathrooms with running water and tables and chairs were all included too. The Bridal suite was a bonus for all the brides out there. If you're looking for a good spot for an outdoor or barn wedding, look no further!

se Matthews’ Catering and they were fantastic for the venue. They knew the ins and outs of everything about this venue. It had a nice spacious bathrooms, bar area, and was the perfect size. We had 130 guests and it was the perfect fit. I just adore this place!

n is simply elegant, rustic and charming. It felt intimate, but not crowded. The air conditioning was a bonus, and the breezes through the open barn doors was perfect. The grounds are stunning ... the sunset that night was spectacular and our guests spent much of the day exploring the orchard and the grounds, all the while talking about how lovely a location it is. If you're looking for a place that feels equal parts old charm New England farm and just like home, Allen Hill is your place. The fire pit in the orchard ... a huge hit! And the kids loved all the open spaces. We fell in the love the property and location -- in the dead of winter! One thing to note ... it is in a remote location which makes it awesome, but a bit challenging to find accommodations nearby. Don't let that deter you though. My guests stayed at the La Quinta in Plainfield, about a 10 minute drive and they have an indoor pool. All in all, highly recommend Allen Hill.

My only caution to anyone looking into Allen Hill is that it REALLY is 100% DIY... from finding all the vendors to decorations to set up/break down. Luckily, we are very crafty and enjoyed the process but for the non DIY/crafty bride, this could be stressful.

cular! My complaint is that the barn had a wedding staff to handle affairs and help the day of. You are really on your own that day so if you have your wedding here rally the troops for help. Other than that I had the most beautiful wedding and was over all happy with my experience.
