Had the privilege of seeing the Poe Speakeasy twice. Clever interpretations of Poe's stories paired with themed cocktails. The actors were great hosts, friendly & fun. Looking forward to attending more of their productions

This was a great different experience. The actors and actresses play their part well and added a little humor. The drinks were great! They kept things moving very smoothly. I will be attending next year if they come back for a Poe 3

y was coordinating with all of the vendors and ensuring everyone knew every detail that I had wanted. We received so many compliments from our guests about the venue, a lot of them had never been to a wedding at a place like this. The fact that the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing can all be held in the same place throughout different rooms of the house is so valuable. My advice to all future couples: skip the empty industrial event spaces and have your wedding at a place that screams character, warmth, coziness, elegance and FUN at The Sweet House! Your photographers will thank you—I know mine did!

We had our wedding reception here. It was beautiful, of course, but what really sets it apart is how helpful and accommodating the staff is. We had a bunch of random last minute details to iron out like when the cake could be delivered, coffee ...
service, etc. and Charity took care of everything, coordinating with the bakery and the caterer. They also set up and decorated for us, both with the table numbers and posters we supplied and with their own beautiful floral arrangements (which they let us use for free)! The music/mic hookups saved us a lot of trouble and money for a DJ too. I would recommend this to any engaged couple looking for an elegant, affordable, and easy to work with venue!

The set up was different than I expected, there is no “tavern” feel. It is set up like a presentation with seating in rows and nowhere to set your drink. But overall we enjoyed the performance and the drinks and would definitely recommend!
