The Heights Villa is an elegant ballroom-style wedding venue situated in Houston, TX. It can host a wide variety of gatherings ranging from engagement parties and rehearsal dinners to day-of ceremonies and receptions. Up to 350 guests can be comfortably accommodated here, making it ideal for either an intimate or extravagant celebration. Your day begins as you prepare in the privacy and comfort of the get-ready suite. These rooms are designed to provide you with the utmost comfort with many amenities such as vanities and pool tables at arm’s length. The Heights Villa offers two expansive ballroom spaces for your ceremony and reception. Both feature a clean and modern design with a neutral color scheme. Chandeliers are located at the center of the room, a sublime feature for your first dance ambiance. Attached to either of the event areas are buffet and cocktail rooms as well as two outside courtyard spaces.

As a bride in search of the best place to hold a wedding ceremony/reception, there are a whole host of things that can factor into the decision. Let me start off this review by saying there were 2 big things that truly won me over with this venue that I want to focus on:
1) On our very first visit to The Heights Villa (THV), Brendan (one of the owners) said "We do things differently at The Heights Villa. You might love it. You might hate it, but what you see is what you get." After hearing that, I was well on my way to being sold on this place. A genuine, no-nonsense approach from very real, down-to-earth people is exactly what we got in our experience working with Cathy, Brendan, and Kelli at THV.
From day one, everything was clearly laid out in black & white. They said no hidden fees - and they meant it. If something was going to cost extra, we knew about it ahead of time and had full authority and understanding over what would ultimately happen - end of story. They helped us save money where we could in our budget while still giving us premium service & attention to detail.
The kind of conversations I had with each THV representative left me feeling seen, heard, and acknowledged as a bride (regardless of how stressed out I probably seemed to them).
When they heard about my house fire in the final 2 months leading up to our wedding, they called me out of the blue to offer to help us out with things that were outside of their scope of work as a venue (printing our seating chart, offering additional set-up equipment, etc.).
2) THV is well-connected with a whole slew of top-notch vendors. When they say someone does a great job for them, they mean it. Good people attract more good people, and I am so thankful for them sharing their list of preferred vendors with us. Having this network of vetted wedding professionals at our fingertips took a HUGE weight off of my shoulders as the primary planner. Not only were we saving time and money, but we were also saving the added stress of communication errors that often arise when a new team of people comes together to execute a project. Y'all - I had ZERO hiccups from ANY of them (at least none that actually got back to the bride's ears). No mistakes. No issues. No nothing. Just great service, people doing what they said they would, and enjoying my last day as a single gal.

My fiance and I just booked the venue for our ceremony and reception. Brody has been so helpful with everything throughout this process. We can't wait to get to the planning process with Aunt Kelly. They've immediately became family with us and know our families will love the place in Dec. 26. I will do another review throughout this process over the next year and few weeks before the date and after the big day. I can't wait to tell everyone about how amazing The Heights Villa was for our day.

Terrible experience with the Heights Villa Management. When we came in for a scheduled tour there was no one there yet at our scheduled time and they told us to just look around on our own until they finish discussing with the other client. I didn't think it was a problem and just started touring on my own. However when 35 minutes later, they were still with the other client and put no effort into updating us or even acknowledging that we were there, we left since we had another appointment right after. They didn't even call us to apologize or even follow up on why we left. Terrible way to start an interaction with a client and extremely unprofessional.

ack room. Brendan was doing a tour. I had told him you were there and he said he would be with you in 5 minutes. I went back to the back room because the floral was for the event that night. The tour Brendan had asked many questions. I texted someone else to take the tour for him. She was running around as well. She didn’t see the text until later. I apologize as this was my fault. I should have called instead of texted and I should have followed up to be sure you were take care of. This isn’t the way we normally do business. All I can do is tell you I am truly sorry. If you would like to give us a chance I will make it up to you with a large discount. I understand if you are not interested. In any case, I hope that you have the wedding of your dreams.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Heights Villa! I have attended numerous events here from weddings, to graduation parties, to Holiday Gatherings. Each and every one has been stunning in it’s decor, and flawless in execution. Cathy and Brenden are great to work with and are so accommodating. Kelli is a rock star DOC and will bend over backwards to make the event the one of your dreams. Highly recommend!

I was a bridesmaid at a wedding that was at this venue last month and the place was so stunning that I decided to tour it when I got engaged. Madison gave me and my fiance the tour and she was very friendly and informative. Unlike a few other venues that we looked into, it is very clear what we will be paying for in regard to the venue and what is included. We will be going with them for our big day!:)

This place is awesome because of their all-inclusive packages. It’s full of so many add-ons and options that you could definitely create your dream wedding with what they have. It makes planning so much less stressful. Madison, the tour guide, was a dream!

I had my wedding 11/5/22 in the Grand Ballroom of the Heights Villa, and it was even better than what we had expected! The decor is included in the venue fee, and I honestly felt like it paid for itself. The linens, centerpieces, uplighting, and silverware were all included, so I loved that I didn’t have to do much extra to make it beautiful. Our guests could not stop talking about how gorgeous the venue was.
Brandon and Cathy (the owners) were very nice and so good about communication back and forth. Kelli (the day-of-coordinator who works with the venue) is FANTASTIC. I can’t recommend her enough! She was a god-send to have with us, and she made sure everything ran smoothly. A lot of our guests were impressed with the staff’s efficiency.
The bridal and groom suites were great and super spacious! The groom one has a pool table, and the bridal one has like 6-7 makeup chairs. It was perfect for us.
We chose to do the bar buyout option, meaning we supplied our own alcohol and the venue supplied the bartenders. It saved us A LOT of money, and the drink service was great.
Overall, we had an amazing time at The Heights Villa. Literally all of our guests were wowed by the decor and service. Even both the groom’s parents and my parents were so impressed and had nothing but good things to say. 100/10 would recommend!

The Heights Villa was the best place we could have possibly gotten married at! The owners made sure our day was special, comfortable, and perfectly taken care of. Our day of coordinator, who works for the venue, handled not only all the minor details, but created the most beautiful and tasteful floral I have seen in recent years!
Why would I chose this venue?
1) One-stop shop: all our decor was included in the price of the venue minus floral and a few special things we brought for our little moments.
2) Excellent Staff: When you are working with the Villa, you have to ask for Shelley! She took our more muted style and made the villa work perfectly for us and our guests! She thinks of every little detail your guests will need while still keeping you and your budget in mind.
3) Couple Focused: As a gay couple, some venues instantly either make you uncomfortable or try way too hard to make you feel at home. The Villa just treated us like we were family. No show, no awkward moments. They worked with us and made everything we wanted to happen. We can tell they love all the couples they work with, regardless!

I genuinely enjoyed my wedding and Kelli (the DOC) made things a lot less stressful than I know planning a wedding can be and she is the main reason for the 2 stars.
My main issue is that I had three decor appointments (one floral) yet the decor was not exactly what we paid (extra) for. I was slightly disappointed honestly but chose to make the best of it because my guest thoroughly enjoyed it but I mean…. I’d like to “get what you pay for”. Also there was a weird smell in which people kept asking “what is that”?
Another issue was the fact that I reached out to Cathy (owner) multiple times once I received an incorrect invoice to correct it and although she replied the first time saying she would get back to me she never did and stopped responding. Right before my final décor meeting I received a message saying that they only had records of two payments (which was actually paid off) and I needed to provide records of other payments. Kelli was nice about it but it was still a hassle considering my MIL made a few payments and I had to have her send over those records.
Worst part on the actual day of, was the bridal suite. We kept the doors shut (as advised) and did not have more than one curling iron plugged in but it was as hot as a Sauna!!! I could not enjoy getting dressed… hard to get our makeup done because we’re sweating. Soooo frustrating 😩
I’m unsure if I would choose this place again but that doesn’t matter since it’s done and paid for but I am thoroughly disappointed in the decor not being what it was supposed to be (and paid to be) regardless of me clarifying through email and in person exactly what I wanted. It looked as if some stuff was just left over from a previous event. Thing is, about time you see it it’s too late to fix.

I had my wedding here on October 7th, 2021 and I couldn't be more happier with my decision. The package we choose was the all inclusive packed that came with the entire venue, Dj, and day of coordinator. I worked directly with Jamie for all my many questions that I had on the contract and venue. I went with Kelli for my day of coordinator and she was phenomenal. Everything that we had talked about in our planning meeting and via email was executed perfectly. My wedding day went perfect because of that lady right there. I didn't have to do anything but show up and get married. I am really happy that I went with her as my coordinator. The Dj we went with was Dj Ro. He had my dance floor lit as hell. I mean he played all the good songs our guests are still talking about how much fun they had and how awesome our Dj was. Another thing about Dj Ro was on our RSVP we had place "you promise to dance if we play this song." For all our guest that RSVP and answered that question I just sent Dj Ro the list and he literally played almost every song that was listed. I was so happy with his style. I did decide to do the prefer cater to save on the outside catering fee of $1250. However, after getting the experience I got with Ral's Catering I should have just picked an outside cater. I know they offer four other inside caters and I would recommend you going with one of the other caters or just pay the money to go with an outside cater. The issue with my refund has yet to be responded to or even resolved and we are in a new year. That was the only disappointing experience I had with my wedding everything else was great and would recommend the Heights Villa to anyone just not their catering service.

We were thrilled with our daughter's wedding at The Heights Villa. It was absolutely beautiful. Exactly like we had envisioned, but even better. The owners, Brendan and Cathy Gowing were wonderful to work with. Always patient and accommodating. We used many of their preferred vendors including Tony Houston Photography and DJ Roy and could not have been happier. The best thing we did, though, was hire Kelli to manage the day of the wedding. She is a treasure. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and incredible kindness kept me calm. She was absolutely wonderful. I am so incredibly thankful for her. She is a reflection of the entire THV staff - First Class.

If you are looking for a wedding venue, you needn’t look any further than The Heights Villa. The main reception area includes a large three step stage area draped in white. The ceiling is beautifully draped in white, as well. What struck me most during the ceremony was how the backlighting made photographs come alive with beautiful color. Whoever designed the room knew exactly what they were doing.....very tastefully done!
Besides the beautiful ceremony/reception room, they also have a large suite area for the bride and bridesmaids along with a room across from that for the groom and groomsmen to prepare and take pre-wedding pictures. Again, attention to detail was evident in both rooms (bright lights for makeup and hair, staging area for pictures, even a pool table in the groom’s suite). Every staff member I encountered (bartenders, waitresses, etc) were friendly and very helpful. Hats off to Brendan and Cathy for creating this amazing environment for couples on their cherished wedding day!

I hosted a wedding for my son and my new daughter-in-law last weekend. I am in awe of the whole evening. The venue was so beautiful. We had the wedding and reception in the same room. After the wedding, all the guests went out to the bar area for the cocktail hour. The room was magically transformed from a wedding ceremony to a reception within a very short time. The owners, Cathy and Brendan, were so easy to work with. They made us feel comfortable the first time we met. They answered all our questions and we very accommodating. Cathy, Brendan and Kelli, our coordinator, guided us through the whole process, from beginning to end. And the food! We elected to use The Lasagna House, which was fabulous! Their signature lasagna and the chicken fettuccine penne pasta was delicious. Every guest I spoke with enjoyed both the gorgeous venue and the dinner. I could go on and on about this fabulous place, but instead, just go see it for yourselves. They have open houses frequently. You can see the wedding venue and taste the different caterers’ food and cakes. I could not have asked for a better experience at The Heights Villa!

Oh my gosh, this place is amazing! Absolutely Gorgeous! I am so happy we had our wedding here, it went perfect. There was so much space to get ready in the suites! Working with the Gowings was an great experience. They were very helpful through the process and walked me through everything. If I ever had to do it again, I would hands down choose this venue over and over. I had both the ceremony and reception in the grand ballroom. Again, gorgeous!!!

Had a great wedding reception at the Heights Villa. The grand ballroom is very beautiful and had plenty of spare room even for our 200 person event. The facilities are top-notch as well big prep area for caterers and 2 bars.
Brendan and Cathy were great to work with they even threw in a photo booth and fresh flowers to make our even more special.
We had the party in the middle of the COVID pandemic and had to reschedule twice. There was a fee to reschedule to the next year, but honestly COVID hurt everyone. And it won’t affect my rating.
The event could not have gone better, I’d recommend this venue to anyone.

I have attended several different types of events here and hosted a couple as well. Whether you are planning your wedding, a bridal shower, a baby shower, a birthday bash, quinceanera, nonprofit fundraiser or corporate business event… The Heights Villa is the venue to book! The venue is centrally located and easy to find. The owners & staff are amazing. Many items such as decor, tables, chairs, linens, lighting, and security are included in their basic packages where other venues charge additional fees for these items. The owners and their staff strive to go above & beyond to exceed your expectations, making sure every detail is perfect & your special day is a memorable one.

Make all your dreams come true at the magical venue. The Heights Villa will help you with everything that you need for your special day, from huge selections of tablecloths and centerpieces and decorations, to helping with the arrangement of the tables and chairs for all your guests will enjoy the event. The owners are so easy to work with, along with the rest of their staff. They will help you with all your questions and will accommodate you the best that they can. If something can not be done at the Heights Villa, they will offer suggestions for help you solve every problem so that your special day is one that will be remembered forever.

I would recommend Heights Villa to anyone!! Cathy and Brendan went above and beyond to help us when we learned our original venue canceled on us less than 80 days till our wedding date. If you want to support a local venue with class and all the amenities any bride would love then book here.

The Heights Villa is not only a stunningly beautiful venue, but Brendan and Cathy made us feel like family. They were the most helpful throughout the wedding process. We were thrown a few curve balls along the way and they did whatever they could to make our day special and meet all of our needs. They were extremely personable and made the process, shall I say, easy? The Heights Villa we found very affordable for all that we wanted and had many of the vendors easily available for us. I couldn't have asked for more and would recommend them to everyone that is looking to get married in the Houston area.

AMAZING! I have nothing but great things to say about this venue. The moment I saw it for the first time I knew I was getting married there. The bridal and grooms suites are to die for they are absolutely huge. I had about 17 people in my bridal suite and we fit comfortable with plenty of room. The venue handled everything for us for the most part. Any question I would call and ask during the process they had an answer immediately for me. It was as never an issue not being able to reach them. I hired a day of coordinator that they offered. Her name was Kelli and OMG she was the best I was such a mess and she was so amazing she made sure everything went smooth she made sure at the end of the night that I had everything she was just the absolute best. Everyone there was amazing and the venue is absolutely gorgeous.

We just had our wedding at this venue in the ballroom and we had no issues whatsoever. The venue was lovely, communication with the venue staff (especially Jamie) was easy and quick, and we appreciated that everything could be done on-site (i.e. floral, decorations, etc.). The preferred vendors were also great and we found their prices very reasonable. We used City View for food and Kelly for the wedding cake. We also brought our own liquor which saved a lot of money. We used Kelli (provided by the Heights Villa for a nominal extra fee) as our day of coordinator and she was amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend using her.
Although some reviewers complained that there were "hidden fees" or other rules that they didn't know about- I can honestly say I knew about all of them before signing any paperwork. The venue does have some rules that may seem to be a little strict but please just listen, these are told up front. I was surprised by nothing. Additionally, I never encountered any rude employees- everyone was great for us.
I would highly recommend the Heights Villa for a wedding- especially for those looking to have a "one-stop shop" with reasonable prices. It's a beautiful venue with many options to fit all budgets! I am very happy we chose this venue to hold our wedding. Thank you!

THE HEIGHTS VILLA IS WHERE THE MAGIC COMES TO LIFE!!! I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Heights Villa, Cathy, Kelli, Brendan, Lesley, and the list goes on!! I am a very organized person in general and the heights villa team made all of our wishes come true. I am going to highlight my faves. After going to multiple venue open houses, my husband and I fell in love with this place! it is nearly a one stop shop for wedding venue. they make it super easy to come and choose table cloths, chairs, centerpieces, throne chairs, fancy tables. you name it, they have it. And if they don't, they're happy to accomodate. I found the entire team very easy to work with. We made some mistakes along the way (my husband and I, not the heights villa), but they were always willing to help us fix it!
lastly I am a smoker and was worried about anyone seeing me smoking in my dress. I hired Kelli as day of coordinator and she had me covered!! no one knew, but I was provided with my own private outdoor smoking area! It wasn't glamorous, but did the trick! The heights villa was a wonderful venue for our wedding, coupled with their staff and offerings, they are truly outstanding!!

Where do I start? The venue is drop dead gorgeous! The Heights Villa team went over and beyond to ensure my day was nothing short of AMAZING!!! If I had to do it all over again, I would still choose Heights Villa. I don’t think there is any other venue that can offer this level of luxury and quality for the price! Just take a tour and meet the staff, you won’t be disappointed.

This place is simply AMAZING!!!!!! The venue is absolutely beautiful! From the chandeliers, to the different personalized up lighting, the upgrades you can choose from, the bridal and groom suites, two different rooms (ballroom and grand ballroom), etc. What keeps me going back with the owners and staff! They love and bend backwards for their customers. Let’s just say I’m working in my 7th event with them. Lol. I also like that if you want to take pictures there before your event, all you need to do is ask for an appointment to get in. The location in the heights is wonderful, especially if you have family and friends on the north and south side of Houston. All in all.....if you are hesitant and looking for a beautiful venue SAY NO MORE...this one stop shop is it!!!

I was at a wedding at The Heights Villa this weekend! I was so surprised to see how beautiful this location was. It’s been a while since I have been to a wedding that looked so well organized and beautiful! Good job to the bride for picking this location and to the staff for doing such a fantastic job!

Had my reception at The Heights Villa in June of 2019. Their planners went above and beyond to accommodate for us & our guests. I had over 250 guests and have not stopped hearing about how beautiful the venue was! We were able to have multiple bar set ups & used 3 different musical entertainments during the reception. It was so much fun! They helped me find all my other vendors and even provided all the floral! I 100% made the right choice by going with them. They truly made me feel like a part of their family during the whole process.

This place is absolutely beautiful! Came for a wedding and instantly added it to my list of places to look at for mine! They work with you so much to make the day so special and the couple barely had to lift a finger!

This venue is incredible and had all of the pieces we wanted in one place. Ceremony on site in the courtyard, bride and groom suites to get ready in beforehand, great selection of linens and decorations to use for the reception, and more. Most important to us was being able to trust the venue and the people who work there to make our day special, and this is 100% the case at The Heights Villa. They are quick to respond, want to help make our vision come true, and are very transparent about the costs of everything up front. We love The Heights Villa!

Not only did we we have our wedding here a few years ago, but we also attended BayLee and Ricardo’s on June 1st, 2019 and had even more of a blast (if that is possible!). This place is truly a gem. The owners are fantastic and they really make you feel special, taken care of, and at home. You will NOT be disappointed if you chose to get married at THV! I highly recommend and wish another one of my friends would get married there so I can go back to that BEAUTIFUL place! Their food vendors are 5 star, the decorations are plentiful, the venue is one of a kind unique and you will be taken care of! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place.
