EXCLUSIVE: Inside Jessica Simpson's "Happily Ever After" Wedding Shoe Collection

The Jessica Simpson Collection, the fashion clothing and accessories line by Jessica Simpson, is making its wedding debut with the launch of a new bridal shoe capsule. The "Happily Ever After" wedding shoe collection includes 11 styles in various silhouettes and heel shapes—from timeless embellished pumps to effortlessly elegant stilettos—starting at $98.

"For this capsule, we included varieties for every style of bride and type of celebration. We have platforms for height under your dress, pumps that would look chic with a suit, and block heels for outdoor ceremonies," says Simpson, in an exclusive interview with The Knot.

The new collection was largely inspired by Simpson's own wedding, when she tied the knot to husband Eric Johnson in 2014. "It was magical to think back to my own wedding while sourcing and creating meaningful products to share on a special day for brides all over the world," she says, adding that the very first bridal capsule was actually designed for her bridal party. "We did a few different silhouettes and heel heights in satins and glitz to fit each of their personalities. The Balina, in this line, is actually one of those styles."

A sentimental extra that's unique to this collection is that each shoe will have a faux sapphire blue-colored stone on the outsole, as well as the phrase "Happily Ever After" inscribed on the bottom. And for another luxurious addition, each pair will come in a satin shoe bag. These thoughtful details, Simpson says, are so brides can cherish the shoes as keepsakes or heirlooms long after their nutpials. "Sapphire is a symbol of power, abundance and serenity (it is also Eric's birthstone)," she adds. "I thought it was the perfect 'something blue' as a little blessing to give brides on their wedding day."

For Simpson, a self-proclaimed hopeless romantic, the best part about creating this capsule was knowing that brides will be wearing these styles on one of the most memorable and important days of their lives.

"To be able to create the shoe that is worn on such a meaningful and memorable occasion is a true honor for me," she says. "Picturing all of these gorgeous brides walking down the aisle and dancing the night away (these shoes are also comfortable) brings me pure happiness."
