A Brief History of Wedding Dress Designer Claire Pettibone
As the daughter of artist parents, it was inevitable that Claire would enter a creative field. She focused on a career in fashion while attending Otis Parsons School of Design in Los Angeles. Claire launched her own company in 1994 with her husband, Guy Toley. After a successful decade creating luxurious lingerie, Pettibone introduced couture bridal gowns in 2005. The company and Flagship Salon is housed in The Castle, a historic Los Angeles landmark built in 1928. Her collections have been carried by Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and specialty stores around the world.

The Claire Pettibone's Fall 2018 wedding dress collection was inspired by international travel. With nine dresses in the collection, one standout look is a trumpet wedding dress with draped sleeves, a sheer skirt and smoky gray embroidery.
From the gorgeous fabrics to the vintage-inspired details, dresses in the Claire Pettibone Spring 2019 collection stay true to the designer's history of pretty, feminine pieces. One of the most notable look was a sheath wedding dress with tip-of-the-shoulder illusion straps, drop waist, embroidery and high slit.
The Spring 2022 Claire Pettibone collection stays true to her unique aesthetic. With lightweight materials,dreamy lace accents and pops of pastel color, she created eight new pieces with the ethereal bride in mind.

Known for her role in the Twilight saga, Nikki Reed wed The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder in Malibu, California in 2015 , wearing a custom couture gown by Claire Pettibone. The three-quarter sleeve mermaid gown featured Chantilly lace and a low back.
Facebook co-founder, Mark Zuckerberg, wed his longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan in May of 2012 in an intimate ceremony at his Palo Alto, California property.
