"A lot of "vintage" cuts will be coming back this year, along with more coverage, high leg bottoms, and statement pieces," says Ripa. "I've seen big bows, big flowers, and puff sleeve tops. One pieces will remain popular this summer, with more of a "classic" silhouette." Say no more. Monday Swimwear: This brand gives off "quiet luxury" energy at an affordable price point with diverse campaign imagery. "I've been shopping there for years," says Ripa. "Their quality is amazing, and they have a large range of sizes. They also use diverse body types in their campaigns, which makes me love the brand even more."
Lane Bryant: You'll never run out of plus size swimsuit options at Lane Bryant. Their styles are comfortable, supportive, and stylish, with unique colorways and patterns. Good American: If you like the "cool girl" aesthetic, check out one of Ripa's favorite swimwear brands, Good American, co-founded by Khloe Kardashian. "They do a lovely job throughout their brand with inclusive sizing and using diverse body types in their models," she explains. "The swimwear I own from them I absolutely love! They are so soft and stretchy because nobody wants tight swimwear."
Target: Target is a bridal swimsuit go-to. Not only do they carry a diverse range of sizes, but they usually have multiple styles in white shades. Off-the-shoulder, one-pieces, bikinis, takinis—you name it, Target probably has it. Plus, the brand has plenty of affordable options for brides on a budget.
Tips for Finding Plus-Size Swimsuits for Brides
You Don't Have to Wear White: You heard it here first, you don't have to wear a plus size white swimsuit if you don't want to. "I personally don't think I wore any white swimwear on my honeymoon," Ripa tells The Knot. "That doesn't mean you can't wear white, though; stay in the 'bridal era' as long as you want to."
Check Out Social Media: "I always check their Instagram first to see what kind of models they post, and influencers they work with, says Ripa. "If I cannot find one person that has my body type trying on swimwear, I am most likely not going to buy it because it is not catered towards me."
Read Reviews: Ripa always advises reading product reviews before pushing the buy button when shopping online. "This can be very helpful, especially if it's a newer brand, she says. "One of my favorite things to do is search on TikTok like it's a search engine, ex: 'Good American Swim Try on Size 10'. That way, I can find someone with my body trying on the brand! I trust real, raw reviews more than anything."
