With one look at Sabine Jean's thoughtfully curated, classically-elegant Instagram feed, you might think the style influencer lives somewhere in France, like the heart of Paris or the colorful coastal town of Saint Tropez. Interestingly enough, she resides in Miami, Florida—but the French influence that lives in her personal style is serving as the inspiration for her wedding day.

The style maven got engaged to photographer and videographer Raymond Laventure on a trip to Charleston, South Carolina in the summer of 2022. Since then, Sabine has been hard at work bringing her timeless "Parisian chic" nuptials to life. Ahead of her big day, set to take place in October 2023, we sat down with Sabine to talk about the wedding essentials she can't live without, including the very first vendor she hired and the surprising pro she's using to elevate her reception. Plus, she also gives us a peek at her timeless registry selections and the elegant invitations she absolutely loves. (We'll give you a spoiler alert: they're très belle.)

Weddings inspired by French culture are all about aesthetics, which is why Sabine Jean is relying on her team of vendors to bring her "timeless and classic" vision to life. "I want us to look back on our wedding photos five to ten years from now and not want to change a thing," she tells us, noting that her fiancé has been on board since the first day of their wedding planning journey. "If I had to put our overall theme of the wedding into two words, I'd say it's Parisian chic."

So, how do you make a Parisian wedding authentic, romantic and oh-so-memorable? It's all about the pros you lean on. Here are the six wedding vendors Sabine can't live without.

A Classic Venue

Considering the venue sets the tone for your nuptials, it was the very first vendor Sabine and Raymond booked—and it paved the way for the rest of their planning journey. "We prioritized securing the ideal venue first, as we knew it would greatly influence the overall look and feel of the wedding," Sabine explains. "By booking the venue early on, we could also better plan and coordinate with other vendors for the big day."

A Dedicated Wedding Planner

After securing their dream setting, Sabine hired a wedding planner to assist with the remaining tasks—a decision that's been one of the most important she's made so far. "Our wedding planner, Melissa, has been super helpful throughout this entire process," she explains. "She's so patient and is really taking her time to make sure we get what we truly want."

Beyond all the traditional tasks a planner offers, Sabine tells us that her pro has significantly eased the mental challenges that come with planning such a significant event. "Planning a wedding can be stressful, so having someone like Melissa in our corner made all the difference," Sabine says. "We really want to be present on our wedding day, and not have to worry about answering questions or chasing vendors around. A great wedding planner will ensure that you don't miss a moment of your special day!"

A Reputable Florist

What's a French wedding without a fabulous display of lush florals? In an effort to bring her feminine style to life, Sabine tells us that another non-negotiable vendor for her was a skilled florist. "Flowers can certainly play an important role in creating a beautiful and cohesive aesthetic for a wedding or event. They can add color, texture, and fragrance, and help to create a romantic and whimsical atmosphere," she explains.

By relying on a local florist, Sabine was able to narrow down the proper arrangements for her big day thanks to their expertise and guidance. "It was important to me to work with a reputable florist who could help us choose the right blooms and arrangements to complement our overall theme and decor," Sabine adds.

Talented Dance Instructors

Planners, venues and florists are generally considered some of the most popular wedding vendors. In other words, they're hired by most (if not all) couples during the planning process. But we're obsessed with one of the more non-traditional vendors that Sabine can't live without: dance instructors! "My fiancé and I love dancing," Sabine raves. "We received salsa lessons as an engagement gift. So, don't be surprised if you hear some bachata music on our dance floor!"

A Fun DJ

Of course, music and dancing go hand-in-hand. In addition to choreographers, Sabine's wedding wouldn't be complete without a fun DJ too. "We really want our guests to enjoy themselves, so we're prioritizing a DJ for our reception," she explains. "Music always brings people together!"

A Great Photographer

Given her fiancé's career, Sabine knew she would invest in a great photographer to capture special moments, allowing her wedding to live on for years to come: "We always enjoy looking back at old memories through photos we took throughout the years, and our wedding day will be the best memory yet."

Sabine Jean's Must-Have Wedding Registry Essentials

Given her classic taste in fashion, we had a feeling Sabine's wedding registry would be equally chic and timeless—and we were right! "While cash funds and experiences are definitely popular options for wedding registries, there is something special about receiving classic home goods," Sabine says of her gift wish list. "These items will last for years and become cherished pieces in our home."

Here, we give you an inside look at the products she's registering for to elevate every day, from kitchen essentials to bathroom necessities. (Psst: You're probably going to want to steal her ideas, so this is your cue to make sure your own registry on The Knot is ready to go!)

Hosting Essentials

Sabine tells us that her home is a frequent venue for dinner parties, holidays and events, so she's using her wedding registry to complete her collection of hosting must-haves. "We love entertaining and having guests over, so hosting essentials and table accessories are a must-have," she says. With new additions like flatware, dinner sets, serving trays, and elegant platters, she and Raymond will continue to make memories with their nearest and dearest in the comfort of their home. "Hosting is a great way to bring friends and family together and create lasting memories. It's also a way to showcase your personal style and taste as a couple. We're looking forward to starting our own traditions while hosting countless holidays and dinner parties."

Luxurious Linens

Beyond the kitchen, Sabine is using her registry to upgrade her bedroom and bathroom. "Who doesn't want luxurious bedroom linens?" she asks. To turn her room into a warm and welcoming oasis, she's registering for high-end items like 480 thread-count sheets, a hotel-style duvet, pillow sets, and a plush robe for maximum cozy vibes.

A Dream Home Fund

Classic registry items aside, Sabine and Raymond will also use their wish list for a big purchase they're planning on making in the future. "We're saving up to buy our dream home, so any additional funds we receive will go towards that," she says.

Honeymoon Experiences

Of course, that's not the only milestone on the horizon for the spouses-to-be. After their Parisian wedding, the newlyweds will embark on the honeymoon of a lifetime—appropriately, in France. "We'll also allocate extra cash funds to our honeymoon in the South of France…oui, oui!"

To pull off a Parisian vibe, Sabine Jean's wedding palette is all about neutral tones with greenery accents—a color scheme that will be prominent in her stationery. "Your invitation is an introduction to your wedding," she tells us. "Designing our invites took a while because we wanted to get it right. From selecting the right lettering down to customizing the envelope liner, I wanted to exude my personal style and our wedding aesthetic as well."

While Sabine's official invites have yet to be revealed, she selected a handful of similar styles from The Knot Invitations that she loves. The best part? If you fall in love with one of these dreamy designs, you can buy your fave on the spot.
