Heritage of Sherborn - Historic 18th Century Inn

When I walked into HOS I knew it was the perfect place for my daughter. She wanted an intimate and casual yet elegant setting. We had an elopement reception for about 50 people. When originally planning my event I spoke with Michelle who was great, then Jen took over. Jen had all my info, knew exactly what I wanted, had great suggestions and put me at ease. The staff was excellent! There was a party earlier that day so I had an hour to decorate. The staff actually offered to take care of the decorations and I got to relax at the bar! My event manager Kristen was incredible! She took care of everything from when/where the guests will sit and eat to making sure everyone was satisfied. She would check in with me and her and her staff took care of it all which allowed me to relax and enjoy time with my guests. Honestly, they are still raving about how AMAZING the food was, how pretty and relaxing the atmosphere is, the excellent variety of bar choices and overall it was one of the best parties they have been to! It’s also a great place to have a spring/ summer event the grounds are beautiful and they have yard games. I would definitely recommend having ANY event here! Thank You HOS for a perfect evening!

Heritage of Sherborn was the perfect venue for what we were looking for. We had a medium sized wedding of about 60 people, and had trouble finding a space that wouldn't be cavernous but could still hold us. We wanted good food and drinks. Most of our guests were traveling and we wanted the event to be worth the trip, but didn't want something too difficult to plan. We also had a limited budget. Heritage of Sherborn delivered on every one of these points, and exceeded all expectations. Our coordinator, Michelle, made everything so easy for us. She answered every question we had, both big and small, about the venue and weddings in general. The food was AMAZING and we had such hard time selecting wines to serve because they were all so good. The end result was something that looked like it cost twice what we paid for. A few notes on the day that really stood out to me. We were warned that we would only have an hour to decorate before the event. This was fine for us, we planned and delegated appropriately to make sure it would be done in time. When my party and I arrived, everything had already been taken care of by Michelle and her team! We spent the time laughing and enjoying ourselves instead!! They were able to make a specialty cocktail for our cocktail hour at a reasonable price. Michelle gave us so many ideas and contacts for vendors like audio equipment and musicians. We used all her suggestions and were delighted with the results. Michelle was also able to help us with etiquette like how to word things on invitations and on our website, which we really appreciated because neither of us was familiar with wedding etiquette and needed help. If you're looking for a beautiful, elegant evening that's easy to plan and reasonably priced, then Heritage of Sherborn should be on your list of venues to check out!

My husband and I got married at The Heritage in August of 2017 (we had a church ceremony down the road). We had a great time and love our lush pictures outside in the Heritage’s lawn. The food was great--very elegant place to get married. Jen was wonderful to work with and we were able to use the rooms upstairs for our groomsmen to get ready in the morning of. We went back for our anniversary this year!

Heritage was close to home, reasonably priced, and accommodating. The building and space has a lot of character (in a good way), the menu is great, and Michelle is wonderful to work with. I can’t recommmend it enough.

It was honestly the best day ever! My husband and I got married at The Heritage in July 2018. From our very first meeting with Jen and Michelle, we knew this was the place for us. The indoor/outdoor atmosphere was exactly what we wanted. Our guests felt relaxed and could enjoy outdoor games along with dancing and dinner inside. Michelle was so accommodating and worked so hard to make the day perfect for us. She was calm and efficient. The food was one of the most important parts of the wedding to us and we were not disappointed. The entree’s were so flavorful and cooked perfectly. The presentation was beautiful. The appetizers were delicious and so many choices, it was hard to pick! Our guests kept coming up to us telling us how delicious thier dinner was! The staff was friendly and helpful. There were so many wonderful parts that added up to a perfect day. They made it as stress free as possible. We would highly recommend The Heritage and just went back this weekend for dinner and loved it!!

Dream come true rustic chic B&B wedding! My husband and I were able to customize the Millie & B party room to suit our exact needs for our very intimate family only ceremony. They were soo accommodating letting my party and I show up early to set up and do my thing without once making me feel I was in the way or asking too much. They even allowed me to come the night before and do initial set up and leave items to make the day of that much easier which was indescribably helpful; I did a very DIY style wedding. The room turned out beautifully and last minute we had to move the ceremony indoors in front of the fireplace and they jumped at the opportunity to assist with whatever we needed! The moved all the furniture for us, laid out my burlap runway and flowers and made sure everything was perfect. The dinner service was wonderful, food turned out great and again they allowed me to leave items in the room the night of and take them the next day so we could enjoy our first night together without stress. I did book the master bedroom for the night and was not disappointed about having the country chic room for photos. I had a very simple ceremony and reception so I did not use the main dining area but the wooden beams on the ceiling are stunning and one of the smaller private rooms has some incredible rustic charm and wood beam details as well. All in all I had an incredible experience and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great rustic, charming venue to host their special day. Michelle was helpful throughout the whole experience as our point of contact and was super responsive via e-mail for any questions or concerns I had. You will not be disappointed!

Heritage of Sherborn is a wonderful place to get married at not only for the way the staff is but the location is amazing. Plus you can do everything in one location. We had the ceremony outside, cocktail hour outside (until it rained), and the ceremony inside. They have a great spot for the dance floor and a place to eat, drink, and just be together. There’s also a piano so we got to take great pictures with it. I planned my wedding while on deployment and Michelle was amazing! She helped with every step of the way and I couldn’t be happier. They helped with everything we needed from giving us a spare room to change in before the wedding. Michelle also took pictures of us even though she didn’t have too! !

My husband and I just had a beautiful wedding at The Heritage over Labor Day weekend. Everything was just perfect! We were so grateful to Michelle and all of the incredibly nice people at The Heritage for making everything about the day just perfect! Michelle organized a quintessential ceremony outside on the lawn, followed by a fantastic party on the patio. We had a great band (thank you Jam Sandwich!) and enjoyed the afternoon / evening outside while everyone was either dancing or out playing on the sprawling lawn, full of great yard games. Every bite was absolutely delicious - perfectly passed and presented on pretty serving stations. Clam Chowder shots, Hanger Steak, Truffle Fries, Crab Bites, Tuna Cruda - yum! Everyone especially enjoyed the Slider station as well as the Raw Bar and the incredible cheeses from Wasik's! We even had one of our favorite signature cocktails - Sunny Skies! We enjoyed every minute and can't thank Michelle and all of the wonderful people from The Heritage enough. We can't help but smile when we think about this special day!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at The Heritage (ceremony was at a church) and Jen and her team were incredible from start to finish. We also got ready there, stayed overnight (other guests did too), and had brunch there the next day. We were one of the first weddings they did after taking over the ownership, and they were so calm and accommodating during which was probably a very busy time for them. To top it off, the food was AMAZING and our guests raved about it for months after.

Perfection! My daughter's wedding was perfect. Our guests still talk about the food and the welcoming ambiance of Heritage of Sherborn. The baker is so talented - the cake was delicious, and we also ordered an assortment of macarons and cookies and the taste and quality were incredible! The Heritage staff provides the best experience and provides individual care and attention to the wedding party - several staff members told me how much they enjoyed the wedding! Between Jen's care and attention to detail and Josh's incredible dinners, the Heritage should be the first and obvious wedding venue choice.

My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at the Heritage. We wanted something small and pretty with good food, and this was the place for us. Easy to find, plenty of parking, and the best wedding food out there. The setting is perfect- we were lucky enough to have our ceremony outside, but there are plenty of lovely places for an indoor ceremony as well. The bridal suite is big enough to get ready, and makes it easy to get ready onsite. Jen is great to work with, and the staff is super helpful.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding reception at the Heritage of Sherborn and it was amazing! We were able to use all of the restaurant space, inside bar, and outside area to hold our party and it worked great! We loved being able to offer both inside and outside options to our guests: sitting inside or out on the patio, bellying up to the inside or satellite bar, dancing to the band, eating at our various food stations, or playing lawn games outside! Being able to maximize the space like this makes the HOS very unique while still having a hometown feel. Our food was delicious; we had such a nice variety of appetizers, dinner options, and drinks! The Heritage of Sherborn allowed us to really bring our vision to life and we want to thank Jen and the entire team at HOS for making it all possible! Jen was flexible, accessible, and patient with us throughout the entire planning process and now the Heritage of Sherborn will always have a special place in our hearts <3. Thank you all, truly!

We met with Jen to discuss having our wedding reception at Heritage and never looked back! They offered everything we were looking for from a delicious and extensive menu, bar service, intimate dining area, and a seating area with a lit fire place. It was our dream come true! And the actual reception went even better than we could have imagined, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Everything went seamlessly and the staff was amazing. Our guests loved the food and couldn’t stop telling us how tasty it was. We were so happy with how our reception went and it’s all thanks to Heritage of Sherborn. We would highly recommend it for a wedding venue.

We have nothing but the best things to say about our wedding at Heritage. Jen made it incredibly easy for us to plan our wedding all the way from California. There were very few things for me to have to coordinate, yet everything was customized to our preferences (including the amazing pie bar for dessert!). The food was absolutely incredible (this was one of our priorities)- all our guests raved and we still talk about it. I didn't have to worry about anything on the wedding day, and everything was managed with such expertise that I barely noticed the logistics being handled in the background. The price was very reasonable considering the quality and service and there was a huge selection of menu items to choose from. We are so grateful for our amazing wedding day and would highly recommend Heritage as a wedding venue.

Heritage and Jen are absolutely lovely! The space is beautiful and has separate areas for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Also comes with catering (incl. cake and bar) tables, chairs, linens, etc. and day of coordination! Jen (the owner) was our day of coordinator - she was always willing to meet with us at the venue and talk through different ideas for how to use the space. She was also so well-organized. We dropped some of the decor/diy stuff off at Heritage a few days before the wedding and then we were able to totally relax and enjoy the day knowing we were in very capable hands! Literally everything went right thanks to Jen! Also multiple people said it was the best food they've had at a wedding and I must say I agree! Definitely taste the brisket, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Jen and everyone else at the Heritage for a delicious and fun wedding!! :)
