1. Secret Cove Beach
"One of my favorite spots for a proposal is at Secret Cove Beach in Makena," shares wedding and proposal photographer Sandra Åberg. "It's this hidden gem with soft sand and gorgeous turquoise water, framed by lava rocks. The view and the cove make it magical. The best time would be sunrise when everything feels so peaceful and intimate. It can get crowded with photographers at sunset but it is absolutely beautiful there. You could enjoy more privacy to the left up on the cliffs."
2. Hana
"For couples who enjoy a bit of adventure, the cliffs along the road to Hana offer some of the most breathtaking views on the island. Anywhere would be a great stop to pop the question," Åberg shares. Plan a romantic proposal here with incredible tropical cliff backdrops, water views and a beautiful sunrise.
3. Koki Beach Park
Want a particular spot to propose within Hana? "There's a super pretty secluded stone beach you will find just past Koki Beach Park," Åberg says. "Sunrise is on this side of the island and a magical time. It's a secluded beautiful place usually with less people than on the rest of the island. Would be a great spot for a picnic any time of day though and into the sunset."
