Magic Kingdom Park: For those seeking the ultimate Disney experience, there's nothing quite like exchanging vows in the heart of Magic Kingdom. Imagine your ceremony set directly down the center of Main Street, U.S.A. with the iconic Cinderella Castle lit up as your backdrop. It's a setting that feels plucked directly from a cinematic masterpiece, offering a sense of scale and grandeur that is truly unmatched.

Magic Kingdom weddings are particularly unique because they can't start until two to three hours after the park closes to the public between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. McFann calls it a "Cinderella Start," as ceremonies typically start after midnight. While this may initially seem like a challenge, I can personally attest that the late-night schedule is worth it. It's surreal to be inside the park without any crowds; time stands still as you take it all in. Without a doubt, it will be the most memorable wedding your guests will ever attend.

McFann coins this dedication to hospitality the "Be Our Guest" strategy. "Our job here is to help make the day go smoothly. Your job is to be a guest," she says. "The couple can actually enjoy themselves and be a part of their wedding; they're able to interact with their guests and let us take care of the logistics on the back end."

Most couples reach out about 16 months in advance, although space cannot be formally held until one year before the wedding date. This early lead time is crucial, as it gives the consultant time to get to know the couple, understand their story and style, and craft a unique wedding tailored just for them.

Events can take place seven days a week and most days of the year (with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas Day). The most popular months for weddings at Walt Disney World are February, October and November; at these times, the Florida climate offers gorgeous weather without the intense heat. That said, Disney hosts weddings year-round—sometimes upwards of 10 in a single day—so the specific date is ultimately up to you. Here's a complete breakdown of when you can say "I do" across the Disney wedding portfolio.

Walt Disney World Resort, Florida Ceremony Times and Availability: Most resort locations offer slots at 9:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.. However, theme park ceremonies times vary by park hours, typically taking place early morning (before park open) or late evening (after park close).

Disneyland Resort, California Ceremony Times and Availability: Hotel ceremonies are typically scheduled for 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m., or 7:30 p.m., with the caveat that lunch receptions must begin no later than 1:00 p.m. For those dreaming of a Sleeping Beauty Castle backdrop, these exclusive events are reserved for off-season weekdays and offer two distinct timelines. Couples can choose a morning ceremony held before the park opens to the public, followed by a reception at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels, or an evening ceremony that begins after the park has officially closed for the day, followed by a celebratory dinner buffet at the "It's a Small World" Mall.

Disney Cruise Line Ceremony Times and Availability: Bookings open as soon as itineraries are released, typically 12 to 18 months in advance. Because shipboard events must coordinate with nautical operations, the scheduling process is unique: While you can share your preferred date and time with a Disney Wedding Manager, your final schedule is confirmed 45 days prior to sailing.

Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa Wedding Venues, Hawaii Ceremony Times and Availability: At Aulani, the "Lōkahi" package offers two distinct timeframes designed to showcase the island's natural beauty. The Morning Experience features a 10:00 a.m. ceremony followed by a lunch reception from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., while the Sunset Experience begins with a 5:00 p.m. ceremony and a dinner reception from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Because these celebrations take place in stunning outdoor venues, all evening festivities must conclude by 10:00 p.m. to respect the resort's quiet hours, minimize light pollution and ensure a peaceful environment for all island guests.

Specialty Portrait Sessions: Because a wedding day can be incredibly fast-paced, many couples choose to maximize their time with guests by scheduling a private portrait session on a separate day in a park before it opens. "It's essentially an intimate, professional photoshoot, but what I love about it is how special it feels to be backstage and have the park to yourselves," McFann explains. "It allows the couple dedicated time together away from the rush of greeting guests. It's absolutely a differentiator for us. Everyone gets dressed up again—hair, makeup and bouquet—and while some couples do this beforehand to share the photos at their wedding, most do it afterward. It really extends the celebration, and for couples honeymooning at Disney, it's a wonderful way to have that additional special time together."

How Much Does a Disney Wedding Cost?

Disney Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons use an event minimum system to determine your overall wedding cost. The event minimum varies depending on your chosen venue, the day of the week and the time your event is set to take place. Lower minimums tend to apply to weekdays and higher minimums tend to apply to weekends and holidays. Ceremony venue costs and any Disney Weddings Service elements can be used to hit your event minimum. Ceremony venue costs start at $5,000 and include standard ceremony seating, a musician, a sound system with a technician, a water station and, if outdoors, a rain backup location. This also includes your day-of coordinator. Food and beverage packages also have minimums that do contribute to your overall event minimum. The tiers include any combination of pre-reception, reception, cake and bar services. It must meet a per-person minimum based on the event time.

Walt Disney World Resort, Florida Wedding Costs: Weddings at Walt Disney World Resort are held to event minimums that start at $15,000 (based on an outdoor resort ceremony taking place Monday-Thursday). Their ceremony venue fees start at $7,000 and go up to $40,000 if you want to get married in Magic Kingdom. Food and beverage minimums at Walt Disney World start at $145 per person for brunch, $190 for lunch and $255 for dinner. Your total bill will add an additional 6.5% sales tax and a 26% labor and gratuity service charge which are not counted as part of the services or the minimum event total.

Disneyland Resort, California Wedding Costs: Like its Florida counterpart, Disneyland Resort's event minimum starts at $15,000 and can range to over $100,000 (aka The Sleeping Beauty Castle Forecourt). Food and beverage minimums at Disneyland start at $165 per person for brunch, $185 for lunch and $210 for dinner. An additional 7.75% sales tax and applicable service charge based on venue location is added.

Disney Cruise Line Wedding Costs: Celebrations at sea offer a unique way to combine a wedding and a honeymoon into one seamless itinerary. Onboard ceremonies start at $4,000, while a tropical celebration on the shores of Castaway Cay starts at $6,000. It is important to note that these rates are for the wedding package itself; the cruise fare for the couple and their guests is a separate, individual expense.

Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, Hawaii Wedding Costs: Two wedding packages are available at Aulani: the Lōkahi Package, with event minimums starting at $19,000 for a tailored ceremony and full reception, and the Pilialoha Package, which starts at $6,500 for an intimate ceremony for up to 18 guests. Food and beverage minimums for the reception start at $150 per person for lunch and $200 for dinner. Note that a taxable 22% food and beverage service fee will be applied to the final bill.
