st dinner with close family. We looked into venues that hosted “micro” weddings, but none seemed right for us. They all seemed out of budget or inflexible. We ended up finding the perfect restaurant for dinner and we booked their private room for November 2024. We put a pin on how we would get married, assuming we could just tie the knot at the restaurant before dinner. The ceremony plan unraveled the more we considered it; everyone would be seated at dinner tables, there would be no cocktail hour, we didn’t love the photography options for post-ceremony, etc. We even contacted Huntington Town Hall to see if we could get married in their outdoor space, but they only perform ceremonies during business hours, and we wanted to wed on a Saturday. By August, just a few months before our nuptials, we did not have a plan for our ceremony. Luckily, our photographer (emmaleeannphotography.com) suggested contacting Janelle at Coastal Creative Studios. Funnily enough, I remembered Janelle from when she photographed my best friend’s wedding in May 2023 – I was bridesmaid, and I remembered her professionalism and warmth. We set up a tour of the venue and fell in love immediately! We booked our microwedding ceremony at Coastal Creative Studios with ease – it was budget-friendly, beautiful, elegant, and the staff was helpful and welcoming. The night before our wedding, Janelle allowed us access to set up everything we needed, including hanging our flower display as our “altar.” We were able to bring in our own food and drink, having access to the fridge in the kitchen. Her staff moved around the furniture to accommodate our event – we had one side set up with chairs for the ceremony, and the other side of the wall was set up for a casual cocktail hour before we would leave for dinner. On November 2nd, 2024, we walked into our dream wedding venue. My husband and I were able to hide in the bridal suite before our guests arrived. We got married in a short but sweet ceremony in front of 27 close family members, plus held a live stream for guests from afar (great acoustics!). After the ceremony, our guests moved to cocktail hour while we gave gifts to special family members in the bridal suite and then our photographer took us across the street for photos on the harbor (those turned out to be some of my favorites!). Janelle provided us with a staff member the entire time, who helped with everything from set up to cleanup. We were allowed to take the night to enjoy our wedding and come the next day to pick up our items. It was so easy and stress-free. I cannot speak highly enough of Coastal Creative Studios. We genuinely do not know where or how we would have gotten married without this venue. It is simple and elegant, so you can create the perfect aesthetic for your special occasion. The staff is helpful, flexible, and accommodating. No ask was too big or too small. We felt so welcome there. It was the perfect place for our microwedding. I highly recommend this venue – if not for your wedding, it would be incredible for a shower, engagement party, day-of bridal suite, photo shoot, and more.
