A Brief History of Wedding Dress Designer Anne Barge

Anne Barge Clegg got her start in the wedding industry in 1969 while working at the famed design house, Priscilla of Boston. From there, the Georgia native later opened her first bridal store in Atlanta where she worked with local brides for many years before unveiling her debut collection in 1999. Clegg gravitated towards vintage couture as her source of inspiration and soon made a name for herself amongst classic and discerning brides.

Today, Anne Barge Clegg's protégé Shawne Jacobs serves as Creative Director of the company and President of its parent company, where she leads the design of Anne Barge 2022 collections and development of the four labels housed within the brand.
