Milk Bath Nails

PHoto: Samantha Jade

Every bachelorette party deserves a spa day, and this manicure is inspired by exactly that. Known as "milk bath nails," the look starts with a creamy base color and features florals that seem to float like they would in a dreamy tub. Here, creator Samantha Jade used dried flowers from Cirque Colors. (If scheduling allows, keep the mani fresh for the garden-party bridal shower.)

Pink Ombre Nails

A trio of OPI shades (Mod About You, Suzi Nails New Orlean, and Strawberry Margarita) was used to create a pretty pink ombre for this bride's bachelorette trip. It's ideal for a beach vacation: The tips mimic an oceanside sunset—with a feminine twist.

Glam Black & Gold

Book a bash over the New Year's Eve holiday and go all-in on glam for a black-tie night. A glittery black and gold mani is the perfect accompaniment, and this one is all about a high-shine finish.

An Iridescent French

Iridescence is trending in nail art, from glossy glazed doughnut nails to pearly finishes. Put a spin on the trend by using an iridescent polish (seen here: Mooncat's A Midsummer's Dream) as the tips for a fresh French manicure. Take it a step further by alternating iridescent and white tips.

Mix and Match

Why settle on just one type of nail art when you have five fingers to serve as canvases? Pick a theme and let each finger tell a story. "For her Tennessee bachelorette party, this bride wanted vibrant and girly pink-themed Western nails," says artist Whitney Underhill. "We combined various nail trends to create a unique look. Using a hot sparkly pink, pearly chrome, fun starbursts and cow print designs, we achieved a bright and playful manicure that perfectly captured the bride's vision. It was the perfect way to add a touch of glamour and personality to her special day."

Sharp Pink Nails

Sharper than the classic almond, these tips are filed to a fine point and hot, hot, hot in neon pink. They're a perfect girly style for a night (or nights!) on the town with your crew.

Confetti Nails

"The inspiration for this look was a fun, party style," says Pennsylvania nail artist Ashley Collins. "Something that was fun to look at and would sparkle on the beach or somewhere sunny." She started with a soft pink gel base coat, and ombre-faded chunky silver glitter down from the free edge of the nail. Then, she selected confetti nail sequins in different-sized circles and starbursts. "I applied a gel top coat and did not cure, and used tweezers to apply on the free edge down toward the cuticle," she says. "Then I applied a thick gel top coat to secure the sequins on the nail."

White Shimmer Nails

Subtle shimmer is the perfect bachelorette party upgrade for someone accustomed to natural pinks, nudes, and whites on her nails. This dip nail look was achieved with one coat of white as a base and two coats of white glitter polish.

Mrs. Nails

Brides, why not adorn your nails with Mrs.—or even your new monogram? Start with a milky white mani to apply the nail art to a clean base that's on-theme for the bachelorette. "The client wanted clean, shimmery, cute bridal nails," says manicurist Elizabeth Sayaseng of Nashville's Nail-ish Studio. "We settled on OPI's Funny Bunny for a soft and milky white base color and added in a dazzle of iridescent glitter. The nail art was kept to a minimum but done in black for some boldness."

Short Red Nails

No matter how on-trend they are, long nails are not for everyone. The good news? A classic red mani looks fabulous on any nail shape and length. For the bachelorette party, look for a hue with a hint of hot, rather than deep or maroon red; try The Gel Bottle's Candy.

Fashion-Inspired Nails

Creator Nicky turned to fashion for this floral nail art, inspired by her favorite fabric from Reformation. Recreate this floral look or bring along your favorite bachelorette party outfit to your nail appointment and see what your artist can dream up to mirror it.

Neon Tortoise-Shell Nails

Inspired by influencer Sammi Jecoate's signature tips, Ashley Fitcher used The Gel Bottle's Tortie Kit to create this tortoiseshell nail art. "The technique includes a lot of layers and patience; it's definitely a trust-the-process kind of look," she says. "The pink and green ring around the nails were done with nail pigment powder, which helped me get the perfect neons to pop over the neutral base." For a toned-down take, try a classic French with tortoiseshell tips.

Swirl Nails

Set a color palette for your bachelorette party and bring it to your nail artist to see what he or she can do. They might be inspired by the hues: Here, artist Janessa Cluff created psychedelic swirls and waves with a trio of vibrant '70s shades. Perfection isn't paramount here; have some fun with freeform shapes.

Punk Princess Nails

Everything old is new again, and this look gives us punk princess vibes with a throwback color palette. Plan a nostalgia night on the bachelorette trip and rock this look to celebrate '90s-baby brides. The pretty purple hues here are both by Mooncat: Check out A Doll's House (pinky) and Freudian Slip (middle finger).

Pretty in Periwinkle

For springtime soirees, solid pastels are a perfect bachelorette nail polish option. We love a pretty periwinkle or lavender hue; the one here is dubbed Juke Box Baby by Lights Lacquer.

Chrome Pink Nails

Come on Barbie, let's go party. Here, Karina Andrade of Glossy Studios used a variety of pretty pinks to create an ombre effect across the hand and finished each tip with chrome powder; try Daily Charme's Unicorn Chrome.

Disco Ball Nails

"This bride's bachelorette theme was western Barbie, so we had to go all out," says Ohio nail artist Kady. "She had the most fun, sparkly diamond knee-high boots, so we decided a disco ball nail would pair nicely." To achieve the effect, Kady started with silvery gel polish (Luxapolish's Grand) as a base. "Then I encapsulated hexagon-shaped loose glitter over top to create the disco ball effect." She added a sheriff's star and pair of cowboy boots to other tips, and tied the whole look together with a Barbie pink hue (Epic from Files by Less).

Light Blue Mani

The perfect bachelorette nail polish for a retro poolside party (we're thinking Palm Springs), this fresh hue has a bonus if you're the bride: it's a little something blue.

Cherry Nails

Atlanta tech Kate pulls inspiration from all over for her designs; she particularly likes looking at wallpaper samples to pull patterns and details for her nail art. Here, she kept things simple with a gorgeous classic French manicure on almond-shaped nails, then adorned a few fingers with some cutesy nail designs as the—quite literal–cherry on top.

Psychedelic Nails

"The theme of my client's sister's bachelorette party was Dazed & Engaged," says Chicagoland nail artist Gina. "The design breakdown was pink and swirls from the theme of the party, flames from an inspo pic she fell in love with and, lastly, who doesn't love glitz and glam for a bach party?" Gina used Daily Charme's Unichrome for the pinky and first fingers, OPI Bubble Bath as a base for the middle fingers and Light Elegance Smitten and Madam Glam The Rulemaker for the nail art.

Red Tips with Pearls

Perfect for holiday-themed parties and cuffing-season engagements, this look starts with a red-tipped French manicure. (For the translucent effect seen here, have your artist extend the nail with a product like Orly's crystal-clear GelFX Builder in a Bottle, then paint with a jelly hue). The finishing touch? Stick-on pearls; Lights Lacquer makes the ones seen here.

Pearly Pastels

Give pretty pastel nails a bachelorette boost with a chrome finish. To achieve nails this shape, ask your nail tech for a rounded square.

Summertime Nails

Soak up the sunshine at a summertime bachelorette with these fun nails, which feature nods to the season—watermelon, citrus, hot dogs, sunshine and more—through the artwork. Even if cheeky nail art isn't your thing, this look has a great base: Classic nude nails with rainbow-colored tips.

Pink Glitter Nails

Pink bachelorette nails get an upgrade with this shimmery glitter finish. Our recommendation: Play up the look with shimmery gemstone rings in pink and red to match (here, she's rocking a ruby). If you're the bride, this is the perfect mani to show off your new bling.

Sparkle Star Nails

"My client Michelle was having a 'one last rodeo' themed bachelorette party with all her friends, so she wanted a pink French with some stars to match her theme," says New Jersey nail artist Mia Jimenez. "Since it was her bach, we could have more fun with colors and glitter, [whereas] wedding nails are usually more simple." Jimenez added length with Gel-X extender before painting a classic mani with pink glitter tips. Then, "I went in with a very light pink for the stars; that way it pops on her glittery French."

Dippin' Dots

If you're a less-is-more type of girl when it comes to your nails, fear not: There are still fun ways to make it fresh for a bachelorette party. Here, a solid pale pink manicure (color: Pyramid Dipping Powder #303) gets a pop with a dot of vibrant hot pink at each nail base. Pro tip: Dip manicures are extra durable, and perfect for a weekend of partying.

'70s-Inspired Nails

Pro tip: Come armed with inspo photos to your bachelorette nail appointment. But, it doesn't have to be other nail art—bring floral photos, color palettes, or even fabric or wallpaper samples you love. Here, a '70s color palette turned into daisies and swirls on a hard-gel manicure.

A Destination-Themed Mani

Look to your bachelorette getaway destination for nail art ideas. These ones—featuring cactuses, colorful pop art, and even a "Mrs"—were created for a #ScottsdaleBeforeTheVeil bachelorette in Arizona.

White & Nude Nails

Take the classic French color palette of white and nude and turn it on its head for your last hurrah before the wedding. These bachelorette party nails for the bride feature a sheer nude base and white nail art—smileys, lightning bolts, and more—with a modern French on the pinky.

Geometric Nails

This mod pattern can be rendered in any color palette; we love the autumn vibes of this pink-and-burgundy combo. If you look closely, though, there is rhyme and reason to the shape layout: Each nail is painted in half regular French and half reverse French (where the lower half moon is painted, rather than the tip)—separated by a perfectly straight middle line.

A Movie-Themed Mani

Whether it's for a popcorn-and-movies evening with your girls or a night on the town, a Mean Girls-themed mani is as girly as it gets (this one even has classic quotes from the film stenciled on!). Pick your favorite rom-com or girl-power movie to recreate the look.

Bow Nails

Are you an Audrey Hepburn bride, leaning into classic sophistication, strapless styles, and feminine details? Plan a Breakfast at Tiffany's-themed bachelorette or bridal brunch and show your nail tech this inspo. The adorable bows and demure polka dots are classy and understated but still fresh.

White on White Nails

"My client came to me newly engaged, and we were going for a dreamy, whimsical, and angelic set," says nail artist Carina de la Garza. She applied medium-length almond gel extensions and a milky white base (color: Nail Thoughts x Kokoist Overcast), then drew a pretty pattern using white liner gel and applied an iridescent chrome finish. "To add dimension, I used pearls to help accessorize the look and complement the iridescent shimmer." We love the subtle pop of something blue here, too!

The Perfect White

Photo: @jenny.jennys

In search of the perfect white polish for your bachelorette nails? It may be different for everyone. In the comments section on this post, L.A. nail artist Jenny admitted she couldn't share the color—because she didn't know it. "It is a hard gel, and I make the color gel on the spot based on my client's skin tone," she wrote. Work with your nail tech to stir up the perfect hue for you.

Pearly Chrome Nails

"The 'glazed doughnut' chrome technique is a popular design effect for our brides," says Gossip & Gloss owner Karolina. "It's a sheer, pearly chrome that is rubbed onto the shiny non-wipe top coat. Pearl chrome can be done over any color; however, our clients prefer it on sheer milky colors." Even though this solid mani looks effortless, it's best to leave it to the pros: "The key is a pristine application with the non-wipe top coat," Karolina says, "filling in any divots or bumps before rubbing in the chrome."

Silver Iridescent Sparkle Nails

Bring sparkle in a big way with a glittery silver manicure. Start with a shiny silver base and have your nail tech apply large loose glitter (here, they used rectangular pieces for a mirrorball effect) or rhinestones to cover the whole nail. We love this look for a wintry bachelorette (Aspen, anyone?) or a disco-inspired party night.

Cowgirl Nails

Nashville bachelorettes, here's the mani for you. Hit the bars along Broadway with these cowgirl-inspired Barbie-pink tips. Ask for a variety of art along the same theme—here, the bride opted for boots, a cow-print flower, and, of course, a flaming heart.

Embellished White Nails

Nail artist Taylor at Atlanta's The Little Nail Kitchen created these white bachelorette nails by first extending the client's length with short natural almond nail tips. A few coats of OPI's Funny Bunny gel polish created the perfect white, and subtle gold embellishments dotted each finger at the base. "I have always been inspired by neutral palettes and looks that stand the test of time," Taylor says. "This look is a celebration of enduring beauty."

Skater Girl Nails

These checkered and striped nails are a fun look for a Southern Cali bachelorette party, a retro '90s theme, or simply to celebrate a skater-girl bride. Choose unexpected color combinations—like this lavender and yellow—or mix it up nail by nail.

A Sweet Finish

Channel Valentine's Day with sweet nails like these from an L.A.-based artist. The look starts with a pale natural base coat (she used Cirque Colors' Chiffon) and features alternating pink, white, and red tips with doughnut sprinkle nail art. Mix it up to match the color palette or theme of your bachelorette party.
