According to recent stats uncovered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, women seem to be waiting until they're older to start having kids. From 2015 to 2016, the birth rates increased in women aged 30 to 34, 35 to 39 and 40 to 44—and actually decreased slightly in the age groups 20 to 24 and 25 to 29. But that comes as no surprise, as it seems couples aren't in any rush to make it down the aisle either.

In our 2016 Real Weddings Study, we found that the average age of to-be-weds in the US was 29 for the bride and 31 for the groom. It seems like a lot of couples are taking their time entering lifestages these days—whether it's moving in with your partner premarriage or finishing up a master's degree before saying "yes" to that all-important question. So if you're panicking about not having kids in your early 20s, or are just focusing on finding a home or wedding planning right now, don't worry—you've got time! It'll all happen when it's supposed to happen.
